Is there a particular field of study you were really interested in, but didn’t end up pursuing as a career? If so, what is it? How long have you had an interest in said field? What made you realize/decide you wanted to pursue your current field instead? 🧑‍💻📑

Astronomy. I really wanted to work at Nasa one day. I was looking into university courses back when I was deciding what to study, and there were a couple that I wanted to apply to, as they also had a years work experience in Houston texas, so you could work alongside Nasa in your final year.
However to do the course, you needed top A levels in physics and maths I think, which I didn't have. So would have had to try and get those A levels as an adult which would have been awkward. And I was also aware, due to adhd, I'm really terrible at focusing on some things for long periods. Like for me I struggle staying focused on academic stuff. But am better staying focused with creative stuff.
So I realised even though it was a massive passion of mine, I knew it would end up stressing me out more because I wouldn't have the capacity to focus fully enough to do it unfortunately. And so I went the creative route instead, to work with another passion, but that one I'm able to get more engrossed with. And thus less stressed with.
So I just appreciate space from a distance now. If I didn't have adhd etc issues and was less hindered, you bet your ass I would be doing something in the astronomy field right now.

Oh absolutely! That would literally be a dream. I wanted to be an astronaut growing up. Or to at least work in astronomy. But I'm just not that great with maths enough to get the grades for it, so I went the creative route for jobs instead.

Stars or Sun? Inna🌹 what will you choose

hmm….
okey ….anonymous
don’t worry i understand what you mean and about what you are talking
my answer:
you’ll see…. who and
with who
because
choice - is when two are already together ….
and everyone sees it that hearts destined for each other met and together….
if you are so interested about….
stars or sun
but stars …?!- need (s) …?! not one…?!
and you know that star …. and stars could be sun…. and sun could be star….
because sun is a star….
but of course you are not about astronomy…
and of course i understand that….its just for you to know….anonymous

Is buttcheeks all one word or should i spred them apart.😂

very good question...
having an interest in astronomy I sometimes unleash my telescope to take a look at Uranus,
so I can safely conclude that there is a huge divide ..............
on this issue
some go for keeping firmly together
others opt for a full , frank and open approach,
up there in the borderlands , perhaps the first option might be the wisest!
I recall during my history studies reading about Dr Paisley's "Save Ulster from Sodomy" campaign!
btw Dermot you have become a very naughty boy asking an innocent maiden like me such questions,
now that Queen Ella is #1 I may have to send you to her study to explain yourself lol

بعد تلك التجربة مع المدارس والجامعات هل تنوي أن يخوض أولادك في المستقبل نفس التجربة ولماذا؟

We’ll be on an isolated island, everything among nature, they will learn all sorts of skills like cutting wood and setting a fire , and forest animals and stuff , their interaction with social media and devices will be minimal, only the necessary devices, as for school , no school and definitely no maths, they will be taught all sorts of fairytales, and grow up to like the movies I like , they’ll learn many languages, maybe some astronomy, they will read all the classics at a very young age and as for social interaction, they will like travel to new places outside the island every once in a while just not to forget that there are human beings outside

I loved the one on one tutoring every couple weeks, it worked better for me. I also loved that I got to study astronomy 😍 but it doesn’t suit everyone and that’s totally okay :)

What do you love the most about stargazing?

Sadly, there is a point beyond which this living religion stuff has to end. Amateur astronomers (especially in the US) seem to like denying that theirs is primarily a romantic hobby. They like making up rationalizations and acting like they are building up towards the minor contributions that can be made to the professional game (variable star observations, comet-hunting... all mostly a case of the adults indulgently letting the kids pretend they are being helpful). I never bothered with this. To me amateur astronomy has no practical utility. If you want to actually contribute to science, you pretty much have to go pro. Most serious astronomy requires cameras for long-term exposures, computer processing and so forth. Actually, most of the serious stuff isn't even at optical wavelengths. You do radio. A veil of science drops between you and your religion at the more advanced levels of astronomy. As a junior in college, in 1996, I was accepted into a summer school in astrophysics at the Inter University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), a leading astronomy center in India, next door to the Giant Meterwave Radio Telescope (GMRT, the largest in the world for meter-wave observation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_Metrewave_Radio_Telescope ). It would have led on to IUCAA's PhD program. It was one of the most important career forks in the road for me. I decided not to go, and took a robotics internship at a defense lab in Bangalore instead. Part of it was that I'd realized by then that if I went professional, the romance would end up in the backseat. When I came to the US in 1997, I finally had access to a rich amateur astronomy scene. I could afford fancy telescopes, join groups of well-equipped and knowledgeable enthusiasts, and so forth. But I never did get into it, partly because I never lived in parts of the US with lots of good seeing nights (either light pollution or winter gets in the way). But mostly it was because something turned me off about the American amateur astronomy scene. In a way, the scene has almost too many resources here. You can basically spend a whole lifetime pursuing the ever-more perfect equipment hoard, keep trying to compete with the professionals with their Hubbles, Arecibos and GMRTs, and so forth. Many American amateurs remind me more of photographers and gadget-philes. Not a bad thing, but it isn't about the romance of the night sky for them. (I did peripherally retain an interest though; my PhD was about scheduling large interferometric space telescopes.) So to answer your question, what is so amazing about the night sky? It is the Vatican City for atheist-romantics. It doesn't need to change. You don't need to see new things. Looking up at Saturn's rings every so often is like going to church. A visit from a comet is a festival to be celebrated.

Good night.
-Since I was a kid I dream of being an astronaut, I dream of being able to travel to space and that is why I am trying hard now, I am studying engineering but I plan to continue with astronomy when I receive it. I also dreamed of being president, but then that desire diminished, however, I am currently thinking about it a lot.

Naughtiest thing you've ever done?

My hobbies and interests include:
Painting, gardening, history, the night sky, all astronomy, nature, bird watching, music, food/recipes, any and all topics that involve a good laugh, random facts and just all around talking about ones day.

Wow....That 's a tough one tho 😁
I’m an incessant reader..I more or less always have a book at hand always lookin' for it with passion I never quite thought about why 😂 I just found all genres interesting ✨
Urban Fantasy, Sci-fi, Alternative History, Historical fiction, mystery, crime particularly British and Scandinavian novels, physics, philosophy, religion plus motivational and inspirational books
But my fav genre has changed a little these days
Now my preference weighs more towards physics especially ((Quantum physics/ Astrophysics ))and Astronomy categories than other genres.
I love to read these kind of books and topics that thrills me and sends a chill up my spine 😌

I knew that one, but it's still amazing! OK, so you know the big four poster beds? They come from the Middle Ages; people hung sheets over them so any bugs nesting in the straw roofs didn't fall into their bed when it rained.

Lol darn... i'm guessing you like astronomy too then?? Alright, did you know if a star, in the size range of our sun, goes supernova, the core will shrink into a tiny neutron star!? Oh, i had to look up four poster bed (then was like "ohh thoseee beds)? I never knew that!?

Can Celestialsapiens travel through the multiverse?

I think it’s possible, but they could also end up in a universe that’s not in line with their internal astronomy, and they could be rendered powerless. Or a universe that just doesn’t follow our universe’s laws where their powers would be useless.

Scientist have now discovered that there are over 400 billion planets that are in our galaxy alone, that are considered to be in the Goldilocks Zone. An area that is capable of sustaining life. Atmosphere, water, etc. Do you think life on other worlds is possible?

Yes and no... meaning that whether there is / was / will be life somewhere out there or not that important if you'll never be able to get in contact with each other.
So theoretically there may be life but practically it's like there isn't. That life is unreachable with current technology thus it's completely irrelevant to me.
The science about universe is generally based on theories, a lot of them,.. there are so many theories and scientists don't agree..
Between theory and reality there's a wide gap. Theories are just theories unless proven. So called scientists are playing with mathematics but it may be completely unrelated to what's actually happening
( physics).
Since we see the past (light that travelled thousands of years) we're just speculating.
Some of those stars, planets may no longer exist..
It's like Schrodinger's cat.. there may be life out there or not, until we actually get there we'll never be certain.
Generally I don't care about universe, astronomy and what happened somewhere out there.
Why? To me (someone with no intention of going there) it's not practical. There's no use of that knowledge for me. No way to apply it, just curiosity, boredom.. It's useless knowledge.
We live here on Earth yet are so eager to escsape from existing problems that we're willing to go to another planet.
Instead of solving earthly problems we look at the sky, searching for god (that we possibly made out as to find comfort, pity.. since we're weak to accept death,chaos..religion is a shepherd, believer is a sheep), life somewhere out there.. fantasizing in order to escape from this man made hell.
A mere excuse to neglect what's important... Humans are pathetic, would rather "live" in a fairytale with happy ending (delusions) than in reality they won't accept...
Sooner or later delusions break. You can't deceive yourself forever. It's funny how people are mad when you wake them from the dream.
Belief of afterlife (second chance) is enough to describe how weak we are. Life doesn't simply give you a second chance. So mind your decisions.
I may seem pessimistic, but it's just logic. Hope dies last. Thus I hope that I'm mistaken ;)
Bide your time and hold out hope.

astronomy is the main branch of astrology.astrology first because 12 stars 12 zodiac 12 hour clock time n 12 months.after this found astronomy🙄

Hahahaha 😂😂😂 astronomy is a branch of science that's related to the study of outer space. While astrology is a pseudoscience that uses the scientific movement of planets and stars to divine meaning and significance in people’slives.

What is the most important thing that has been discovered?why?

A lot of important things have been discovered throughout the centuries & I do not feel comfortable enough to attempt to call one of them The Most Important Discovery Ever™.
If Nikola Tesla as a child, looking at lightning during a thunderstorm, would have believed the parents' explanations that this is a manifestation of God's wrath, we would not use electricity.
What about the theory of evolution and natural selection, which has become a key description of the mechanism for the development of all life on Earth?
And the discovery of atoms? And the theory of relativity, which transformed all the theoretical physics and astronomy of the 20th century and overshadowed the 200-year theory of mechanics proposed by Newton?
And if the Scottish scientist Alexander Fleming had not discovered penicillin, the first antibiotic, we would still die from such diseases as a stomach ulcer and scarlet fever, and so on.
Gravity? We learned why objects fall down, & why planets revolve around the sun through this discovery.
And there are a great many truly brilliant discoveries made by the great scientists. Without all this, the world to which we are accustomed, would have looked very different.

- Alchemy, astrology and occultic symbolism has always been a part of secret societies and satanism and sure, a lot of this stuff is overrated and thrown under the wrung of conspiracy theory but some of this goes back in history to freemasonry books and a jewish book on magic cd the Zohar so that ;

it is quite interesting how satanism and cults are a backdrop for this as this is advantageous for them to have knowledge like this to maybe manipulate or control people or make them go astray
I didn’t know about the jewish roots or their book on magic but in almost all religions there is a lot of study revolving around heavenly bodies and their impact on us like hinduism has it’s own obsession with it as if it determines our entire life and in Islam a lot of prominent figures were astronomers but muslims after that influenced by hinduism and occultism mixed astrology and astronomy together and started believing in a lot of things they weren’t supposed to be into. I mean sure there is stuff like how we’re all connected to the universe or how moon influences waves of the sea and maybe blood flow I don’t know much about that and how black magic can be accurate about things but still other than how it’s haram it’s also absurd to have a system that classifies all humans in the world into twelve discrete categories. There’s a lot more diversity and everyone’s environmental conditioning even if they are the same initially just makes it all the more complex.

First of all, you state "There are also people who blindly defend their beliefs....." What kind of truth you need to support that beliefs? I don't think you talk about astronomy here.

Sigh.
Because of our limited knowledge, there are things that we can only theorize about and there are things that we can only believe to be true even without sufficient evidence. This applies to many things, from evolution to dark matter to God to what you think about your neighbor or the President. The difference is, there are things that we can investigate and confirm immediately as soon as we get access to it (like is it true that your neighbor or your president is such and such? As soon as you get access to their past or personal records, you can confirm it), and there are things that we can only investigate and confirm later in the future after we invent better tools for observing and measuring them--if, we will ever have the ability to do so, that is; and maybe there are things that we can never investigate like soul and death and afterlife and God.

It's prolly because i love medicine so much that it literally burns me to see it being massacred by the clumsy curriculum. An hour and a half is a lifetime bruv, my uni's 5 mins away if I speed up my scooty. I've only watched the grave of the fireflies and read the kite runner from that list, I cri

I can relate to the clumsy curriculum part. I love my core engineering subjects but there's alot of unrelated stuff we're forced to do as well.
I'm glad you love medicine. I love astronomy and even though I'm doing mechanical engineering right now I really wanna pursue that side of science in the future. Maybe do Masters if it's possible.
Yeap, it sure is. Especially when you reach uni to find out 2 of your 3 classes for the day have been cancelled. Travelling 3 hours back and forth, waiting 2 hours for an hour of class is not fun :))
I cri too. You should definitely see Hachi, Pursuit of Happiness and The boy in the striped pyjamas.. highly recommend ._.

️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ATTITUDE? oh sometimes he just like to get on her nerves. if slytherins could act so sarcastic— why could she not? oh right, she was a GRYFFINDOR. ❛ girls’ DORMS? oh gosh— are we going to start naming them now? ❜ she shook her head, trying not to laugh. nate could CERTAINLY end up in the dorms. . . but WHO? madi would never admit that he could have a one night stand— she was somehow too JEALOUS of him. was it true? did she like potter and yaxley— without a doubt. but the was somehow BETTER.
️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️
️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️the way the boy called her LOVE. . . it sent chills down her body. nate was perfect in EVERY WHICH WAY— which she thought was IMPOSSIBLE. of course the context was not the BEST. potter and yaxley were not BAD? . . . then what were they? madi looked at the boy, brows knitted. she was unsure where he was going with this. ❛ fall in LOVE? that’s it? ❜ well, get a load of it lestrange, she saved her heart for him— PRAYING he would not throw it away.
️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️madi remembered when she had first saved eyes for him— fifth year ASTRONOMY. it was in professor fortier’s class— they were having a night out; telescopes pointed towards the stars. they had been learning about jupiter’s moons. while everyone was looking up, she was looking at nathaniel lestrange. his slytherin buds hissed and laughed at his side, leaving the girl in awe. . . her eyes scanning EVERYTHING. he was. . . WONDERFUL. she could never tell him how much she loved him though, she was too SCARED.
️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️that was NOT the answer she was expecting. ❛ oh? is that ALL you can say? ❜ heat flushed her cheeks— maybe she should have just kept QUIET. she knew that slytherin girl. . . ELAINE KINGSLEY was good at that. ❛ DENY it? ❜ maybe madi was not the girl she saw in the mirror. doubt seemed to boil under her skin, and she clenched her hand that was not on his. but his skin felt cold now— whether it was her or not, she could not tell. only if she could have taken it BACK. ❛ i. . . ❜ she looked down, SHAME washing over her features.
️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️❛ is THAT what this is about? ❜ she scoffed. ❛ i should have known that you were going to say that. ❜ he leaned in— if she had moved she could kiss him. eyes flickered to his lips. . . TEMPTING. she shook the thought away, but his last remark is what threw her over the edge. ❛ you know what— maybe i am WRONG. ❜ she sighed, running her fingers through her hair. this was UNFAIR. she did not want to move her hand, but it was the best scenario. the muscle in her jaw tightened— holding steady. ❛ then what’s YOUR decision? ❜
️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️❛ is it to make i don’t like EVERY single slytherin boy? ❜ she rolled her eyes in annoyance.

Abbiamo dimenticato il '67 e il '68. Vogliamo prescindere dalle psichedeliche Arnold Layne, Set the controls for the heart of the sun, Astronomy Domine, Careful with that axe Eugene? No vero? E vogliamo trascurare le struggenti Cirrus Minor e Green is the colour del '69?

No, non le ho dimenticate: le ho tralasciate di proposito.
Amo tutto dei Pink Floyd però adoro troppo i PF di Gilmour.
Cioè vedo quasi una rivalità con quelli di Syd, per questo non le ho citate.
