codyishome’s Profile PhotoCody Bryan Maverick ️‍️‍
Buenas noches

In welke landen ben je geweest? Welke zou je nog een keer bezoeken? / Which countries have you been in? Which one would you like to return to?

Statement by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries, guys please read this!where is justice??#KarabakhisAzerbaijan

lamanmuradova1’s Profile PhotoLaman Muradova
L'AQUILA, Italy, 10 July 2009 - The countries of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group released the following today:
Joint Statement on the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict by U.S. President Obama, Russian President Medvedev, and French President Sarkozy at the L'Aquila Summit of the Eight, July 10, 2009.
We, the Presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group's Co-Chair countries France, the Russian Federation, and the United States of America affirm our commitment to support the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan as they finalize the Basic Principles for settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
We are instructing our mediators to present to the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan an updated version of the Madrid Document of November 2007, the Co-Chairs last articulation of the Basic Principles. We urge the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to resolve the few differences remaining between them and finalize their agreement on these Basic Principles, which will outline a comprehensive settlement.
Fact sheet
The ministers of the US, France, and Russia presented a preliminary version of the Basic Principles for a settlement to Armenia and Azerbaijan in November 2007 in Madrid.
The Basic Principles reflect a reasonable compromise based on the Helsinki Final Act principles of Non-Use of Force, Territorial Integrity, and the Equal Rights and Self-Determination of Peoples.
The Basic Principles call for inter alia:
return of the territories surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijani control;
an interim status for Nagorno-Karabakh providing guarantees for security and self-governance;
a corridor linking Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh;
future determination of the final legal status of Nagorno-Karabakh through a legally binding expression of will;
the right of all internally displaced persons and refugees to return to their former places of residence; and
international security guarantees that would include a peacekeeping operation.
The endorsement of these Basic Principles by Armenia and Azerbaijan will allow the drafting of a comprehensive settlement to ensure a future of peace, stability, and prosperity for Armenia and Azerbaijan and the broader region.

In Shaa Allah 👍🏻🙏🏻 More power to Azerbaijan and help and support from Pakistan. Armenians need to learn lesson this time. I’m studying deep the global conflicts and I know about this whole scenario. The UN declarations are in favour of Azerbaijan. Turkey is taking bold stand.

💙❤💚🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿💙❤💚Nagorno-Karabakh, one of the ancient residential and cultural centers of Azerbaijan, is part of Karabakh in general. During the Soviet era, in 1923, the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region was established in the mountainous part of Karabakh. In fact, at the root of the problem is the claim of armenians, who have been resettled in Karabakh since the 18th century, to take possession of Azerbaijani lands.
The armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict began in 1988 with the armenians' open territorial claims to the historical lands of Azerbaijan and ethnic provocations. armenians represented in the Soviet Union, the leadership of the armenian SSR, and the armenian Diaspora abroad began to take action in the early 1980s to use the weakening of the USSR's central government to annex the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region to armenia.
In 1987-89, more than 250,000 Azerbaijanis were forcibly expelled from their historical lands, 216 of them were brutally killed and 1,154 were injured.
KARABAKH BELONGS TO AZERBAIJAN!!!!💙❤💚

Wow, that's very interesting, another country, another culture :) I am from Azerbaijan. I wish move to America, but ordinary life in Azerbaijan is much safer than there, but there are more opportunities. What is about your country? What is there?

Oh that's interesting! In Greece life is good, - the weather, the food, the people are good. but there's economic crisis as well and many people are affected

Hi Aytaj, thanks for your response to my open question. I’m partly agree with your thought , but i think some foreign companies in Azerbaijan require upper-intermediate English level minimum, but yes russian is also an advantage 👍

well, this culture just feels close to me for some reason.and it's been like this for many years:) got many reasons to leave. I just feel like I don't fit in here,I have almost no social life and finding a normal job is nearly impossible for me. would love to go back to the UK, but Brexit... :/

Now I wanna push you to come to Azerbaijan and decide if you liked it or not. Good option? Do you want to come? :D I would be your guide 😂 and I think that thing with social life is almost same with all Lithuanians because I just saw people happy there when they were drunk, seriously
+8 answers in: “labas, Nijatai :D Kaunas calling. how was your day?”

Nijatas...yeah:) we love our -as/-is endings :D I had a friend at uni who worked with cell cultures (biochemistry), her name was Cemsel,so people called her "semsel" first which eventually became "stem cell" :D I'm used to TR spelling. but AZ has some sounds that TR doesn't have. such as x (my fav!)

yes, yes, Nijatas, my fav too :D it's also same in Russian surnames which is also same in Azerbaijan with the ending of "-ov", for example Nijatov :D. stem cell was good one :D ahahha your last sentence got me. can you say X because lots of people in Lithuania couldn't :D
+20 answers in: “are you in Lithuania or Azerbaijan??”

yes, I'm from Kaunas :) didn't write to you on fb because i thought it would seem too random, but here on Ask everybody writes random things to random people :D I went anon 'cause I'm kinda shy sometimes, but you're really easy to talk to, and it's been a really pleasant conversation so far:)

I wouldn't be random, but yeah choices matter too. It's okay if you wrote here and asked about asking how to come to Azerbaijan :D thanks, nice to talk to you too. let see how far it will go :D but I still didn't get your name)
+20 answers in: “are you in Lithuania or Azerbaijan??”

12 HOURS!! damn :D just looked at the map now, yeah apparently it's further than I thought. I've been to Georgia and Armenia. but I think I should like Azerbaijan more than these 2, because it's closely related to Turkey and Turkey is my fav country in the world :)

well it's like you are going from Estonia to Lithuania, IDK something like that :D well I hope they will give you VISA for Azerbaijan because you were in Armenia too) IDK how that one is. and yeah, if you are serious, I will help you with the procedure if you want to. but WHO ARE YOU ? :D
+20 answers in: “are you in Lithuania or Azerbaijan??”

thanks a lot!! yes, I'm serious. I really like the Caucasus! I've been to neighbouring countries several times, but never to Azerbaijan :( so, there are marshrutkas from Georgia or normal buses too? :D

you are welcome. Where have you been in Caucasus, for example?) hahah, marshrutkas cannot handle it. it’s about 12 hours from Georgia to Azerbaijan(Baku). first you have to go to Red Bridge and then to Baku) that’s why I prefer airplane to Baku, directly

I have ono more question to you -what's about relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey ? Do you hate turkish people or love it ?

TautvydasSt’s Profile Photo
well from the perspective of history, I don't like because they were the ones (with arabs) that tried to invade Azerbaijan, but if we can look at the current situation, I don't have any problems within that one. it's the same with Lithuania and Germany(and England too), most lithuanians say they hate Germans, but Klaipeda is full of Germans :d or moving to England even you look at the history itself.

well, we are both students, you're from Azerbaijan studying by ERASMUS , I'm studying in college, so at least we talked about important things , but just one question , Kaunas is not only one city in Baltic states, why not Riga ? scholarships exist in Riga as well

TautvydasSt’s Profile Photo
I already explained that one. my university (which is ADA University) gives us a chance to go with exchange and Erasmus+. we have exchange program to Riga, but that’s not Erasmus. there was only one Erasmus+ program, and that one was to Kaunas
+7 answers in: “а скажи а как по русски твое имя звучит как Ниджат да ?”

I think there is another reason for that -Universities like KTU ,VU or the others inviting students from former USSR ,China, India or Bangladesh because these students giving salary to these Universities , it's nothing but business you know , because students from Asia and former USSR are cheaper

TautvydasSt’s Profile Photo
well of course most of the students in Lithuania are from India, Pakistan, Arab countries - so basically it’s called BUSINESS. and if you wanna say something, don’t try “students from USSR are cheaper”, clarify the sentence, first. the second of all, my university in Azerbaijan gives options to choose for Erasmus, and there are only 4-5 countries. Turkey, France etc. well I loved Lithuania more, and don’t regret anything. Kaunas was perfect:)
+7 answers in: “а скажи а как по русски твое имя звучит как Ниджат да ?”

But Turkish secularism is under attacked by Erdogan presidency. Actually the most appropriate example of Muslim majority secular country is Azerbaijan (although I bet some Sunni Muslims will disavow Shia Azerbaijan as not Islam)

Finally, someone mentioned Erdogan :D
You don't have to bet on people disavowing Azerbaijan as a Muslim majority state. They will disavow them, especially considering the fact that Azerbaijan never once become a key regional player, let alone the world. Iran is a regional power, thus people might still call them "Muslim" sometimes especially with their "Anti Israel" stance. The same can't be said to Azerbaijan.

Jerman gagal membobol Stalingrad setelah dikepung setengah tahun.
Bisa mah bisa, but it will take forever just to reach Moscow from either side.

Soviet bakal tetap punya upperhand meskipun Stalingrad jatuh.
Kehilangan Azerbaijan = kehilangan bahan baku industri.
