What are you the most passionate about? Like something that you could talk about endlessly? 🤩💬

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Unfortunately, the subjects I enjoy contemplating or discussing, most people in my life will not consider. This includes politics, theology, physics, music and poetry. I suppose this is one of the reasons I tend to be an introvert who keeps to himself and refrains from expressing my thoughts with disinterested people; and it is probably the reason why I still have an active askfm account. It is here where I get to, within predefined and extremely confined boundaries, get to express myself without worrying whether or not people agree with me or like me. And you might also note that I am somewhat superficial here because I do not want to upset the anonymmous woke activists who lurk in shadows waiting to file bogus reports to the illustrious askfm moderators who couldn't hit the backside of a bull with a basketball if they were standing within an arms length of the bull. 👍👍 /Alex

Why are you interested only in boys things gamila football basketball you are pretty for that 😂

First of all, it’s Jamila 😁
And I don't believe in categorizing interests by gender 😄 Don’t get that wrong but I think that this is a very old & outdated way of thinking.
The way I see it, there are no masculine & feminine interests, there are only things that you like & interested in and other things that you don’t.
You don’t have to be a guy to like football or a girl to like soap opera & reality shows, if you like something just watch it & keep tabs on it.
It’s good enough that you have found something you like & enjoy cuz that’s good for your mental health so don’t just get away from it cuz somebody told you that it’s not for your gender.
Just live your life the way you want as long as you’re doing nothing wrong ✌🏻

Who is your favorite basketball player?

Thanks for the great question. Larry Bird is my all time favorite basketball player because every aspect of his game was perfect.

I don’t really watch football, but it was nice seeing that one match of Morocco. Even though ydk how the game works, its very exciting when they’re so close to making that goal. Football and basketball both seem very interesting but nobody is willing to explain that stuff to you 🤷🏻‍♀️

When is the last time you walked to see the one you love or are in love with? Have you ever done that for someone who made your heart skip a beat?

$hady
i don’t walk as much. last time i did that for an ex, i walked through a blizzard to show up for her basketball game. i came to show her support & when she found out i walked there for her, i got the biggest & warmest hug. young love lol.

¡Hola!! 🌿🍂🌹
@molinillo_o_paraguas.

How much were you involved in sports at school?

As little as I needed to be haha. I hated sports growing up. I was part of a hockey team for ages and would go on tournaments against other schools with my schools team. But it wasn't because I liked hockey, I just ended up doing it ha. I always loved basketball though.

What's your dream house?

As much as anyone may say "A big house", I can't stand the idea of cleaning and maintenence. I'd rather have a small cozy house, out in the middle of no where that observes all seasons. Though Electricity, Water, Cable/Internet is a must. Lots of land. Many fireplaces. MANY MANY FIREPLACES. Meh, other than that it can look like anything as long as it fits SO, Son and I cozy with maybe two more rooms for guests.
Lake front, preferably with some of my friends living there with me, Entourage style if I can choose the guests. Weight room downstairs, sauna, steam room, basketball court. My room would be on the first floor but I'd have lofted ceiling and glass roof to see the stars at night. Large room, Huge bed, plenty of room for activities. My own fucking bathroom, with one of those showers where water hits you from everywhere. Lots of trees around the house. I like shade. House is connected to a dock with boats and stuff I guess. Massive kitchen where I could cook anything basically. Big entertainment room with a large TV, game systems, big comfy couches, pool table, ping pong, Foosball.
A stone cottage with lush greenery and a beautiful front porch. Stone walls inside, modern amenities (remodeled kitchen/bathrooms), a big fireplace in the living room and master bedroom, and big windows.
I want it to be two stories but the second story is like a big loft that could be a playroom. I'd also put a half bath up there. I want it to be rustic, think log cabin type of home. Lots of cedar, I love cedar. The master bedroom will have two bathrooms off of it. One for me and one for my husband. I want five bedrooms. A master, two kids rooms, a craft room, and a game room. I also want the outlets to have built in USB port things. I want 3.5 bathrooms. Two for the master, one for the other bedrooms, and a half bath upstairs. I want the master on one side of the house and the other bedrooms on the other side.
I want a pretty stone fireplace that's gas or butane. Not wood burning. I want to be able to turn it on with a switch!

What sports do you play?

Only one I was good at and still play is Racquetball. Was introduced to the game when I was in High School. Fast faced, requires good reflex's, good cardio, you don't have to go chasing after a ball like you do in tennis and just really enjoy the game (whether single, cutthroat (3 players) or doubles).
When I was in middle school, played soccer in some league play. Played High School Football.Played a lot of pick-u basketball games, played touchfootball on the streets (tackle in the grass), played some tennis, some golf as an adult etc. While I generally had fun with all of them, never had the impact - enjoyment of racquetball. I've played a lot of different sports in my life, and so many of them either attract assholes with something to prove, or they devolve into bickering about the rules. Curling is one of the few sports I've found where people remain courteous, just want to have fun, and don't turn into hypercompetitive pricks over something that literally doesn't matter.
Hockey. I grew up around it as my dad was a coach for a local junior team. I also just fell in love with the speed, the rough and tumble way it can be played. I got to travel to cool places, and lucky enough as a teen to be good enough to play a high-ish level in the the US for a season.
Used to play a lot of cricket. Didn’t pick it up until I was 7 and my cricketer step-dad said I had decent hand eye coordination when catching, and it kinda went from there. Couldn’t get my head around the field position names (apart from silly mid off cos I always used to get put there), but enjoyed playing it and found it quite a good opportunity to hang out and get to know my stepdad over the years.
Just to clarify, I spent a lot of time with my real dad, too, but my time with him was spent going to a lot of football matches rather than playing, but they are also some of my fondest childhood memories. Would say I’ve been really lucky in that respect, so I’m grateful.
I am a huge fan of the big 4 sports. My favorites are the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins & Patriots. College I like Notre Dame and don't care about college basketball too much. I usually don't watch sports unless my favorite team is playing, or it's a marquee matchup. I always watch the Super Bowl, whether the Pats are in it or not. This is going to be the first year in a couple years where I've actually got a huge interest in watching all (potential) 7 games of the NBA Finals, because Golden State vs Cleveland is going to be a rubber match and it will be so competitive that I don't even have a clue who will win. GS vs Cleveland for the third straight year makes it a trilogy, and it has made it's mark in the history books. I like watching MMA from time to time as well. I'm a huge McGregor fan (Irish pride!), and Joe Lauzon. Two favorite fighters, by far. Occasionally I watch professional wrestling.

What are your hobbies jamila ? ✨

Reading, watching movies & series, watching football & basketball, playing video games.
And for outdoor activities I LOVE swimming.
I used to play guitar too, I was still a beginner though when I stopped playing it, but I plan to continue learning playing it again soon ✌🏻
I have a lot of hobbies actually that I could keep myself busy all day long if I didn’t have work to do ✌🏻😁

What things are you naturally good at? 💪 👍 😇

I think I'm pretty naturally decent at many things. Especially things I enjoy doing or things that challenge me. I'm a quick learner and very competitive so I enjoy sports and games a lot. I remember when I first started basketball my coach told me I was a natural.

Were you good in sports when you were in school? Like track and field? pole vault, where you gotta run and drive that thingy into the ground

I do not consider myself a very good athlete but I did play basketball in middle school. In high school I ran track and played football for 2 seasons. After graduating from high school, I played tennis for about 5 years, ran 5k races over a 20 year period and lifted weights. For the past 10 years I play golf every week, walk 4 miles every other day, lift weights, stretch and do pushups and sit ups. Although I do not consider myself a gifted athlete, I have worked out most of my life and continue to workout.

Do you ever listen to music to hype yourself up? Like when you work out for example. What kind? 💪🎶

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
I've never tried it... It seems strange to me to artificially replace an emotion with another one until the first one is over. I usually listen when I'm in the mood to listen)
For stretching and ballet warm-up, I have playlists with classical and chinese music, according to the mood. For step, I try to take something new every time, because I have already learned måneskin by heart😅 For example, music for basketball fits well into the rhythm, sometimes electronic, it's great to take chvrches. Latino is tоugh firstly. For dancing, I usually take music from the video, which I memorize the dance (transcend has very cool selections), or rock'n'roll classics. Anything will do for a bike, I listen to a audiocourse in astrophysics btw)

At what point in your life were you happiest? When you were a child? When you had loads of money? When you got married?

I just finished up my 3rd year of college, during which I finally got my act together and got good grades, while developing a stronger interest in my major. I have an internship at a great company, doing things I enjoy, and making good money, while practically being guaranteed a career come graduation. I am also finally together with the girl of my dreams, that I have been chasing for 2 years, and every moment I spend with her is better than the last.
Last summer; I lived like I was 13 again, but with all the perks of being 22. I had just graduated college, but hadn't gotten a job yet. I worked during college, so I had some spending money. It was the first time I had not worked or been In school since I was 13 or 14 and it was awesome. I worked-out every day for a couple hours and then had the rest of the day to watch movies, play videogames, read, hang out with friends or go out with my girlfriend. Then late in the summer I got a job and moved out. I always wish I could Just go back to that lifestyle.
When I was in my early 30s. I had been divorced long enough not to feel the pain anymore, and was starting to figure out what I really wanted out of life. My little girl was four, and she was getting interested in playing video games with me. I remember I had just gotten a new job after five years working a desk job for a company that didn't appreciate me. I lived with my best friend. I made plenty of money, and had no debt.
When I was in my early teens I used to sit with my father and play F-19 Stealth Fighter for hours on end. He was a flight instructor in the USAF at the time and taught me how I should be flying, why I was flying that way, and how to land a jet fighter (though without rudder pedals, he eventually gave up and let me roll the aircraft on approach). It was basically flight school (very) light; but, damn if it wasn't a lot of fun.
College, man. I had a few girlfriends, a dorm full of dudes that would be down for basketball or videogames or whatever at any time, I didn't have to cook or wash dishes, I spent my time studying a subject I enjoyed for its own sake, and there was way less bullshit to deal with in general. All of my crap was fixed with duct tape because I was dirt poor but so was everyone I knew, so it was OK. There was ALWAYS something fun to do, and it was so easy to meet new people and make friends. Life was, in short, easy, good, and connected in a warm network of social relations.
I was very optimistic about the future as a teen. Which felt great, I thought I could do/be anything. Learning about politics, learning about how difficult doing the things I thought I wanted to do with my life actually are and just generally becoming more nihilistic as I have gotten older has significantly dampened this optimism to the point I genuinely feel unsure if I even have a future. I still try to be somewhat optimistic but sometimes being optimistic just does not mesh well with being realistic which I also think is important.

Hi wanna ask you ur opinion about being dumb & unskilled on something and someone saying like “ why are you taking so much time to finish this task”. It is not that I gave up, just I need time to get used with it😔. But their words made my self esteem went bad

Don't feel bad about yourself just because you're unable to do a task on time or bad at it.
And don't listen to people. If you do something, they'd still say something negative, and if you don't then still they'd bring negativity.
If you're slow or bad at a task that doesn't mean you're dumb or unskilled. It just means you're best at something else and skilled in a different field.
If you're a good dancer, and one asks you to sing then of course you'll be pretty bad at it.
If I'm good in playing basketball and one asks me to play cricket then of course I'll be pretty bad and slow and unskilled to play cricket.
And yes, you can take your time to finish a particular task. Don't give up, take your time, adapt to the situation, learn how to do it and eventually you'll get better and better at it with time.
But if you're unable to do so that doesn't mean you're unskilled or you're dumb.
~You're amazing just the way you are. Know your worth and value. Don't let people define you. They're just people, in every situation they'd say something negative. And if people are being negative, leave the area and surround yourself with positive people.

Why is it easy for others to have a boyfriend/ girlfriend? May tips ba kayo? Haha.

How to get a boyfriend: First, be pretty. If not, be malandiii. Charrr. 🤣
But truth be told, I believe a girl's personality plays a bigger role in catching someone's eye than her physical appearance. Nasa aura daw yan, may mga tao talagang malakas ang dating because they know how to carry themselves confidently. Anyway, most guys prefer those who smile genuinely: more approachable = more chances of winning. Haha.
Keep in mind though, that if you need to change or hide who you really are just to keep a guy's interest, it's not worth it.
Daig daw ng malandi ang maganda, in a way, totoo. Pero quality over quantity dapat tayo, dear.
Always. :)
P. S.
'Nuff said!

Currently I am partaking in competitive swimming as well as just slightly baseball. Swimming accounts for 4 days a week and baseball just one day a week. Used to be a lot bigger on baseball and play rep but am not just playing it with some friends. During rep for baseball over the summer, typically 5 days a week would include baseball whether it was a game, tournament or practice. Also wanted to get more into tennis to play with my dad again. It's been quite awhile since I last picked up a racket.
Now a days I'm more into esports. Require less movement and less prone to injuries. My body took a beating when I played football as a child and now at 25 I move around like I'm much older. Although in college I played in some intramural sports competitively from indoor soccer and dodgeball, which I was pretty decent at. Got a pretty decent shinner playing dodgeball that looked like someone beat me half to death those foam balls could pack a punch.
I can hit it a whole hell of a lot further, but she’s much more consistent so we both end up somewhere in the 80s. I win about 7/10, but some rounds she’s just on fire and can’t miss a put or a chip. I can’t chip to save my life, so it makes rounds pretty fun and competitive.
Before My injury, I played sports at minimum 4x a week. Usually on mondays, wednesdays, and or fridays after work for at least 2 hours. On saturdays I played at least 4. On sundays I played about 8-12 hours depending on when I finish or how I’m feeling. I played a combination of kickball, flag football (gridiron), rugby, and ultimate frisbee. Sometimes I’d just shoot hoops if I was bored. And no. I just played pickup games with friends. There wasn’t a season. I haven’t played an organized sport since college/university.
I used to play roller derby, but the time commitment was massive because my city didn’t have a recreational league. There are players who never do make the A or B teams but you’re still practicing 3 times a week regardless, and either playing or staffing bouts every other week (and traveling!) It’s kind of crazy to never play competitive sports and suddenly you’re on the B team of a national league.
Not to say people don’t (especially as a gay person gay softball is pretty popular), but I will say generally most people I know haven’t played an organized competitive sport since high school. If you’re talking for casual fun, my boyfriend and I played tennis yesterday. I’ve never been the greatest at basketball, but that is generally a default game to play and fairly easy to (pre covid) get a pick up game going.
I used to play basketball until 1992. I started refereeing in 1984 and have continued to this day. Took up wheelchair basketball refereeing in 1997 and achieved my international licence in 2004. Am starting to learn wheelchair rugby from this afternoon at a national tournament!

Now at 21. I had a horrible childhood (awful parents, teachers, classmates and no friends). Now I’ve met the love of my life and we live happily together.
So far? The six months that I lived in Kyoto. It was the first time I'd ever lived totally on my own, supported by my own savings, no responsibilities, free to get up when I want, go where I want, and live however I felt like. I had an entire city as my playground, and I lived smack in the middle of downtown, so I could literally walk two minutes outside my door and be at a shopping arcade. In my immediate vicinity were multiple story video game arcades, restaurants of all kinds, a fresh food market... you name it, and it was probably within a fifteen minute walking distance. I could even walk to the zoo.
Probably the couple months before high school graduation. I had met my new circle of friends that were already in college, I got accepted into an alright school, I was basically guaranteed to graduate with a good GPA and I had uninhibited fun all the time with little to nothing restraining me.
We were watching some movie and smoking hookah and he turned my head randomly and kissed my forehead. He didn't say anything. Just went back to absently playing with my hair and watching tv. I was kinda shocked cause he isn't very affectionate. After it sunk in I cuddle closer and held his hand and finished the movie. The whole time I was so happy.
