You morally filthy, indecent guys, for the streets May your daughter be treated the way you treat girls, can you say Ameen ❓

As a woman, I am ashamed to say you are of the same biology as me. I would never make such baddua for the daughter of my worst enemy yet you go around cursing other girls to the same miserable fate?

Should i go for MBBS or ACCA, it's difficult to take decision! Any suggestion please?👀😩

Different anon but I don’t feel comfortable being called a woman, I don’t mind female though. I don’t identify as a women.

if you don't identify as a woman then why do care about the words for those who do? This is like if a cis man messaged me that he didn't feel comfortable being identified as a woman. Okay? Good for y'all. The rest of us shouldn't be reduced to genitals. Sex is for biology class and your doctor's charts.

So basically all the same sht answers you give on your regular Dishonesty Days. So much for that.

I'm not being dishonest😂 You're literally trying to make me say my kids' dad isn't their dad (which isn't true) just so you can babble on about how it doesn't count because bIoLoGy Is SuCh ImPoRtAnT etc. He's literally their dad. Get the fxck over it. Where I live and what my name is isn't your business, I don't see you sharing yours. Get the fxck over it.

Well. You're right. Nutrition has a vital role to play with thr human biology. I started looking into it amid my fitness journey and was most surprised to see that one could almost regulate their entire body system via diet. I also learnt the importanfe of each macro in our diet. (1)

Part 2 of vitamins and minerals importance:
Minerals are vital substances for every living being to live a healthy life. They are like little warriors which help the body in regeneration and repair of cells, energy transmission, nerve signaling, strengthening muscle and bone, healing wounds, boosting immunity, and much more. Thousands of mechanisms in our body like performing day-to-day activities smoothly need the necessary amount of different minerals. But are we aware of which minerals are essential and how they play a crucial role in our body? And how can one take minerals via food instead of medicine?
Vitamins are continually consumed within the body and must be repleneished continually.
Vitamins are Organic Nutrient- Most of which are not made in the body and mainly obtained through food. Each of the vitamins have specific functions in the body, for example
Vitamin A: Essential for Healthy Eyes, Healthy Teeth, Skin and General Growth and Development. Natural source: Carrots and other Citrus Fruits– all of which get their hue from the carotene pigment.
Vitamins B: For Immune Function and Iron Absorption. Natural source: Whole grains, Potatoes, Bananas, Lentils etc
Folic acid – Vitamin B9: Helps in Preventing Birth Defects in Pregnancy. Natural source: Dark Leafy Greens, Asparagus, Broccoli, Citrus Fruits, Beans, Peas, Lentils, Seeds, Nuts, Cauliflower etc
Vitamin C: Give Skin its Elasticity, act as an Anti-Oxidant and helps in Iron Absorption. Source: Oranges, Guava, Red and Green Peppers, Kiwi, Grapefruits, Strawberries, Sprouts etc
Vitamin D: For Strong Healthy Bones. Natural Source: Spending out few Minutes in Sun, Eggs, Fish and Mushrooms.
Vitamin E: For Blood Circulation, and Protection from Free Radicals. Natural source: Almonds, Sunflower Seeds, Tomatoes etc
Vitamin K: Helps in Blood Coagulation Natural source: Leafy Greens Vegetables, Sprouts, Broccoli, etc

What motivated you to get into nutrition studies?

I was reading a lot of science books and magazines, and wanted a profession that involved some form of human biology. I did my research, and discovered nutrition would satisfy my craving for understanding human biology. “Dietitian” was listed, at that time, as one of the careers predicted to need more practitioners in the future.
Being a dietitian requires interaction and conversation with people regarding health and it has been satisfying to educate and guide people toward healthy changes in their lifestyles. Nutrition is a field that is constantly discovering and refining its knowledge base, so keeping current with research has also been interesting to me.

No.
I mean, looking at it at all realistically, men have got it easy compared to women.
Part of this is biology - no periods, no pregnancy worries - and part cultural - men get favored treatment in many ways.

"Could you have a real friendship if some part of you was always expecting betrayal?"
"Everyone had been so much more entertaining then. What had happened? Age, he guessed. And with it: Jobs. Money. Children. The things to forestall death, the things to ensure one’s relevance, the things to comfort and provide context and content. The march forward, one dictated by biology and convention, that not even the most irreverent mind could withstand. But those were his peers. What he really wanted to know was when his friends had become so conventional, and why he hadn’t noticed earlier."
“And if we are being philosophical—which we today are—we can say that life itself is the axiom of the empty set. It begins in zero and ends in zero. We know that both states exist, but we will not be conscious of either experience: they are states that are necessary parts of life, even as they cannot be experienced as life. We assume the concept of nothingness, but we cannot prove it. But it must exist. So I prefer to think that Walter has not died but has instead proven for himself the axiom of the empty set, that he has proven the concept of zero. I know nothing else would have made him happier. An elegant mind wants elegant endings, and Walter had the most elegant mind. So I wish him goodbye; I wish him the answer to the axiom he so loved.”
"Sometimes he wonders whether this very idea of loneliness is something he would feel at all had he not been awakened to the fact that he should be feeling lonely, that there is something strange and unacceptable about the life he has."
"But don’t you understand, Amy? You’re wrong. Relationships never provide you with everything. They provide you with some things. You take all the things you want from a person—sexual chemistry, let’s say, or good conversation, or financial support, or intellectual compatibility, or niceness, or loyalty—and you get to pick three of those things. Three—that’s it. Maybe four, if you’re very lucky. The rest you have to look for elsewhere. It’s only in the movies that you find someone who gives you all of those things. But this isn’t the movies. In the real world, you have to identify which three qualities you want to spend the rest of your life with, and then you look for those qualities in another person. That’s real life. Don’t you see it’s a trap? If you keep trying to find everything, you’ll wind up with nothing."

how to pass mdcat 🙂

badddie___’s Profile Photogulalai
First of all, there's no concept of pass or fail in mdcat. Even if u have scored more than u thought of (that obviously doesn't happen), u have to pray. Let's say 80% isn't bad at all, but that isn't sufficient to be on merit list.
Don't panic.
Stay calm. Stay awake how many nights u want before the test. But sleep at least 6 hours before it. Close ur books at 11 the night before test, no matter how much u want to study.
Don't cramp ur books. Cramping works till FSC, not after that, not at all. Concepts should be clear. Read ur text books only and read them again n again. Ask ur physics teacher for formulas that will work as shortcuts. Practice them. There won't be much time to solve the numerical n they aren't as simple as the one we solve in fsc. They involve one or more formulas to get an answer. In biology, there are exact lines from books. In chemistry, u should know the chemical reactions.
At my time, test involved negative marking, so if it happens again, please do not attempt all the questions.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

Scientists say that cockroach milk is 3 times more nutritious than cow's milk.'., An international team of scientists sequenced a protein crystal located in the midgut of cockroaches in 2016. The reason?
It's more than four times as nutritious as cow's milk and the researchers think it could be the key to feeding our growing population in the future.
Although most cockroaches don't actually produce milk, Diploptera punctate, which is the only known cockroach to give birth to live young, has been shown to pump out a type of "milk" containing protein crystals to feed its babies.
The fact that an insect produces milk is pretty fascinating – but what fascinated researchers is the fact that a single one of these protein crystals contains more than three times the amount of energy found in an equivalent amount of buffalo milk (which is also higher in calories than regular cow's milk).
Clearly milking a cockroach isn't the most feasible option, so an international team of scientists headed by researchers from the Institute of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine in India decided to sequence the genes responsible for producing the milk protein crystals to see if they could somehow replicate them in the lab.
🦗 "The crystals are like a complete food - they have proteins, fats, and sugars. If you look into the protein sequences, they have all the essential amino acids," said Sanchari Banerjee, one of the team, in an interview with the Times of India back in 2016.
Not only is the milk a dense source of calories and nutrients, but it's also time-released.
As the protein in the milk is digested, the crystal releases more protein at an equivalent rate to continue the digestion.
"It's time-released food," said Subramanian Ramaswamy, who led the project.
"If you need food that is calorically high, that is time-released, and food that is complete. This is it."

What was / is your favourite science at school? Chemistry Biology or Physics?

My favourite was throwing paper balls at mr Julien and getting sent out or the time I accidentally got glycerin in my mouth and tried to wipe it onto my jumper whilst hiding but the teacher found me and asked me what I was doing down under the table 😂

Answering a bunch of questions💫
1. I didn’t like studying at school, I enjoyed chemistry and biology, and of course English. I sat with an excellent student and among those who studied better than me, this boredom and hostility to the presentation of subjects brightened up me.
В школе учиться не нравилось, кайфовала от химии и биологии, ну и английский конечно же. Я сидела с отличницей и среди тех кто лучше меня учился, мне скрашивало это скуку и неприязнь к преподнесению предметов
2. I have nyctophilia, only a few know and I see badly there, I don’t direct my magical power at my gaze
У меня никтофилия, знают единицы и вижу я там плохо, магическую силу не на взор направляю
3. Lightly salted cucumbers, green onions, paprika, with mushroom flavor, namely chanterelles
Малосольные огурчики, зеленый лук, паприка; с гирбным вкусом, а именно лисичек
4. A lot of archives in various social networks, everything is on a flash drive, I don’t load the amount of memory, I leave it for the best game processes, there should be a lot of free space
Много архивов в различных соц.сетях, все на флешке, объем памяти не загружаю, оставляю для лучших процессов игры, там должно быть много свободного места

What are u studying for

I’m in school to earn my Associates degree (Science - for Veterinary Technician) right now!!
Once I graduate, I can sit for the VTNE to become a licensed Veterinary Technician.
(I’ll have to take a state licensing exam too bc NC is rude like that).
XD
I was thinking about doing a Bachelors in Wildlife Biology afterward???
IDK.
We’ll see!! I always wanted to specialize in large animal veterinary medicine.. But wildlife rehabilitation and zoo vet med sound neat too.

Who else gets tired of left wing , radical feminist people squirming towards whatever suits them that's often disgusting to normal people?

I think you will find actual "radical feminists" to hold more traditional views and aren't so far left as the now "lets include males in feminism" feminists.
So I think you have this a bit incorrect. The left wing activists of current year are wanting to get rid of a lot of normality, not the women who understand biology exists and sexuality is innate.

There an expiration date to everything, think as that as life. ⏰👀

Plausible theory but we mustn't assume death is cessation of life when it may be something that is more complex or beyond our current understanding. Testimonials from prominent physics researchers from institutions such as Cambridge University, Princeton University and the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich propose that quantum mechanics predicts some version of “life after death.” They assert that a person could possess a "body-soul duality" that is an extension of the wave-particle duality of subatomic particles. Dr. Hans-Peter Dürr, (former head of the Max Planck Institute for Physics) asserts that, just as a particle “writes” all of its information on its wave function, the brain is the tangible “floppy disk” on which we save our data and this data is then “uploaded” into the spiritual quantum field. Continuing with this analogy, when we "die," the body (or the "physical disk") is gone but our consciousness / data on the computer continues. Physicist Professor Robert Jahn of Princeton University concluded that, if consciousness can exchange information in both directions with the physical environment, then it can be attributed with the same “molecular binding potential” as physical objects (meaning that it must also follow the tenets of quantum mechanics). Further, quantum physicist David Bohm stated, “The results of modern natural sciences only make sense if we assume an inner, uniform, transcendent reality that is based on all external data and facts. The very depth of human consciousness is one of them.” Lastly, Professor Robert Lanza (Wake Forest University School of Medicine, North Carolina) also believes that the answer lies in quantum physics (specifically, the theory of biocentrism which proposes that the universe only exists because of an individual’s consciousness of it. Essentially, life / biology are central to reality, which in turn creates the universe; the universe itself does not create life - the same applies to the concepts of space / time which he describes as “simply tools of the mind"). Does life as we know it really have an expiration date? Religious convictions may answer the question for some but others are examining it from a scientific perspective and while many theories abound, I am not prepared to reach a final conclusion based on what is known at this juncture.

So true! literally there's no difference between the ol' homophobes who conditioned me into thinking I am a problem and I need to be fixed and these so-called woke activists, who now use the same tactic but in a different way. Like no, sweetie, I'm not gonna be ashamed of my identity.

You're exactly right, they're exactly the same. It's now socially acceptable and encouraged to harass and mock gay men, lesbians and women into silence and submission.
You'll find most openly "queer" people are just heterosexual or bi at most and often have relationships with the opposite sex yet act as mouthpieces for the entire LGBT community.
We need a mass exodus from this toxic and harmful ideology. Biology matters and no legitimately solely SAME SEX attracted person will be interested in being with someone of the opposite sex, regardless of how they self present or identify. Sexuality is innate.

Do you have a strong conviction that you have the typical feelings and reactions of your true gender?

I don't believe genders have "typical feelings and reactions" assigned to them automatically, but we *are* socialized as the gender we were assigned at birth, which is why an emotional response in a man will often vary wildly to an emotional response in a woman. It's not innate, it's taught.
I'm a nonbinary person socialized as a girl/woman, and some of my behaviours do reflect that, as said socialization was part of the building blocks for my psyche. In spite of that, I was always more of a "tomboy" and ambivalent towards the concept of gender overall, so even as a child there were ways in which I didn't appear to be a "typical girl", nor cared to be one. I found it especially limiting and, at times, uncomfortable.
Having an experience like mine doesn't necessarily mean a person is nonbinary; even people with binary genders don't have to appear or act "typically" like they were socialized to - or to "typically" conform to the gender they're coming out as - to be who they say they are. Gender is an extremely simplified perception of the complicated relationship between the even more complicated areas of human biology and human psychology (with oppression and s*xuality thrown in there, for extra ✨spice✨), applied at birth and enforced via indoctrination of young people. You have every right to be uncomfortable with what you're taught, whether you identify with your assigned gender or not.

Did you have sex education in school and was it any good?

Shannon678900’s Profile PhotoShannon
We did but I didn't really learn anything. Cause I started my period at the age of ten, we hadn't done any sex ed yet so I had no idea what to expect or what to do at the time. In school all we really did was put a condom on a fake penis, discussed teenage pregnancy and sti's, did the biology stuff but they put the guys in a different room so they didn't have to learn about periods and stuff which I think is stupid? It could have been so much more useful if the teachers weren't so embarrassed by it

Yes I know you only had one course. My point is that it's kind of a problem if you take a whole degree and don't know any of the most important things in biology. I think that's a major, serious problem with your degree program.

You’re just acting as if I’ll remember every single thing we’ve learned about vaccines lol. I can guarantee that many people won’t remember unless it’s their field of study. There’s also a possibility I won’t even find a job in bio anymore

Did black skin appear first in humans or white skin or neither? When do we know for sure when humans started to have a whiter and a darker skin by genetic means or another historical evidence?

okay. we're doing some more or less simple biology now.
In billions of years organisms learnt how to interact with their environment and how certain skills are superior over others. However we all know that genetics are a complicated topic and that sometimes small "errors" happen which are responsible for the biodiversity on our planet. So after billions of years of genetically mutations the homo sapiens appeared in east Africa (according to the current stage of research). So... I did some research myself with a little help of Google and searched, were the homo sapiens' closest relatives are located.
Nowadays Chimpanzees and Gorillas normally live in Central Africa which supports the theory of evolution for a common ancestor.
Carefully: Apes are not the homo sapiens' ancestor, at some point of evolution they shared the same ancestor and developed differently. (still the gene pool is very close till now with 90-99 percent of a genetic match).
So, after billions of years apes in central Africa still are likely to have a darker skin color because it protects them from the strong radiation of the sun. The common ancestor was likely to have a darker skin color. And as genetical mutations and evolution are a slow and steady process it is most likely that the first homo sapiens also had a darker skin color.
I myself am pretty sure that lighter skin colors appeared first after the homo sapiens decided to travel northern places.

If we had the ability to choose precisely what we think we need at any given point, would we then be free of suffering?

yeah
If mentally ill people shouldn’t be held accountable for thinking and acting due to a faulty brain, can we take ownership for ANY of our thoughts and actions? I argue that we are somewhat like puppets controlled by our brain, which is completely built and shaped by biology and the environment. robot doesn’t have free will if it was coded to think a certain way.

What is the best way to explore human nature: psychology, philosophy, or biology?

RayVen94’s Profile PhotoRay
Honestly, this might seem like a copout, but I'm going to say all three. They are separate entities in and of themselves. However, they are all intertwined, related and ingrained into our DNA. How were "wired". In order to study human nature, one MUST look at all, but not limited to the three sciences listed in your question. For example, there are certain characteristics which can help mark or "finger" who might be a good candidate to be a serial killer. Based on case history, serial killers fit a MO. Generally, this gets into Psychology, some to do with Biology, and one can even argue, Biology, as most serial killers tend to be Caucasian males, and so on and so on. We could discuss this for hours! But, for as a simple an answer as I can give, yes, all three. I would live to discuss this in more detail.

What is the best way to explore human nature: psychology, philosophy, or biology?

RayVen94’s Profile PhotoRay
Humanity- race we are all part of regardless of registration, we are auto-enrolled at gestation, take our marks at birth, get set for this perfect life we have envisioned in our mind, and then it's gone before it even starts. That tells us that it's not always about the destination or the finish line, it's about how you get there... it's about the path you choose, the steps you take to get there, the people you meet along your way

Is there a subject you're especially knowledgable about? You mind saying something you know relating to that which you think most other people don't know? 🧠🤯

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
I really like the biology of mental health. It's really powerful for breaking down the stigma of mental health not being a 'real' thing. It also helps people to engage with treatment when they understand why and how the techniques are going to work.
I'm currently really interested in breath work. Lots of people with anxiety are told "just breathe" and feel they are being fobbed off. But breath is such a powerful tool when understood and utilised properly. Most people know that when they are anxious and think there is danger their heart rate increases and they breathe faster and that this is part of the "fight or flight" stress response. However, what is not commonly taught is that this mechanism is two-way. So how we breathe also signals back to our brains if danger is present. Therefore slowing down breathing (or even maintaining relaxed posture!) can tell our brains that there is no danger. This in turn activates the opposite side of the nervous system which switches off fight or flight and anxiety symptoms.
In short, we aren't victims of our brains but if we experience trauma or stress we can be more prone to false alarms where we think we are in danger and we are not. This triggers a protective response which we experience as anxiety. But we can talk back and tell our bodies it is a false alarm very effectively with our breath!
I find that amazing and I wish I had understood why I kept being given breathing exercises for my anxiety. What they failed to explain to me was why and how this could help - and when to use it!
Sorry for the long answer!!

🇺🇸 I understand for myself how we was there when I learned Biology‼️ Out body is mix of the first living creatures‼️
But our soul is the divine part of us‼️ Don’t mind‼️ It’s my opinion‼️
Living without soul as the life of Zombie‼️ You’re not live and it is every day until your death‼️

What are your thoughts on this? US scientists have developed a computer, that will interpret someone's thoughts, and convert it to speech. My thoughts are this...If they can do this, they can do anything! Your thoughts?

Not worried. Also if it was tested in Americans it has to be a pretty awesome computer 🙃 Computers will rule the world! Yeaahhh!
Sounds interesting, where did you see that?
Transhuamism/anti-human is coming. The convergence of biology and tech. This is the transhumanist/eugenicist wet dream. Well, they may be reported as having claimed such but I take it with a sizeable few grammes of sodium chloride.
Besides, even if possible, surely it would need sensors attaching to the head to detect whatever are the thought "signals"? What is your un-cited source? The original in a respected scientific publication or some general journalist mis-representing that? (Not that most of us would necessarily be able to read the paper even if sufficiently knowledgable. The big publishers like Elsevier have sewn up the scientific-papers trade very tightly and made access extremely expensive. Even many of the scientist authors now complain they are often unable to re-read their own past individual or contributed papers, unless they had ensured from the start, retaining copies privately!) A dictatorship would love such an invention.. That would be an awesome tool to identify people with the wrong think.
