Hey! When you find yourself with nothing to do, it's a great opportunity to relax and recharge. You could watch a movie, read a book, go for a walk, or try out a new hobby or activity you've been curious about. It's important to balance productivity with leisure, so enjoy the downtime! 😊
I won't deny the musical influence and we might share a few interests but I don't see too many similarities. Have you read Tom's book? At any rate, I am flattered by your observation. 👍https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmyWeOvF_Sg
I do the things I love which makes my mood calm like read a book, buy new things to treat myself, drink a coffee, watch a movie, hangout something like that 😎
Fresh and clean bedsheets, the sound and smell of rain, when I finish a book, after my apartment is all cleaned and everything stays at its own place. ☺
“Letting Go: The Pathway To Surrender.” It describes a simple and effective way to get rid of the obstacles to enlightenment and get rid of negativity.
For the first few weeks, turn on the eye protection feature on your electronic devices. Cut off the blue light. Then gradually move to book reading when you go to bed. This is what I did to fix my sleep cycle
I have read probably more than 200 books & novels, but this book (novel) holds a very special place in my heart , I have lost count of how many times I have read it, some may see it as a silly teenage or adolescent love story, but to me it’s much more than that, I have read it for the first time at a very good phase in my life (probably the best) so yeah that could be one of the reasons I love it so much, and it has been my most efficient form of escapism for the past 5 or 6 not very good years, whatever the reasons are or might be, this book has been (and I guess it will always be) one of the best companions I have ever had in my life 💞💞
How do you know it? 😯 Just now after all rainy day reading book and watching movies I have a headache from my eyes 😪, but my miracle PINK pill will correct it! 😅👍 (Barbie 💗😂)
As I said people can't just punish anyone whenever they want no matter what they have done. That would only cause anarchy. On the other hand I also don't think it's okay to incite hatred against a group and agitate people by doing such things. What does anyone get out of burning a holy book in public? (Do it in your own home if you are feeling so much rage, nobody would care). It's simply in bad taste. If you don't like something, and you have different opinions then just say it like a civilized person. And I think having an open debate is healthy for society.
Do your best to keep yourself occupied. Spend time with your family, chat with a friend, read a book, watch a comforting movie or show, enjoy your favorite food, or go out for a while. Anything that you like. Initially, it would feel really hard to even distract yourself but keep trying. I know that it’s not easy and it would take some time but one day, you would stop feeling this way. I promise you.
i did laundry and cleaned the bathroom, so i treated myself to tropical smoothie for lunch. now i'm going to put on LOTR and relax with my smoothie for a bit before i tidy the apartment up.tomorrow, i'm hoping to go to target to buy new curtains for my bedroom and i'm also thinking about ordering a book off amazon called "tender is the flesh," it sounds super interesting and horrific and right up my alley.
there isn’t many things in life i regret as i believe everything is a learning experience but i got the tattoos when i was in a dark place and lost myself. none of them represent who i am as a person and i just felt like it was time to let them go and forget that part of my life. i don’t want my children being curious and asking about them when they are a bit older because that means i need to open that book again and have to explain. i’m in a very happy point in my life now so they need to go
Maybe this is what it would mean this way:First Sentence: This is a suggestion! Last Sentence: This being a commanding or some kind of to be implemented advice.Because at the end of the book the whole perspective of life would be changed from the reader's point of view....(This case shall remain in our practical life where I assume this being said by some senior citizen in the last days of his life on death bed)
Don’t really have something particular in my mind right now but maybe check one of these: 1- Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell 2- Autumn by Ali Smith 3- Life After Life by Kate Atkinson 4- Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel 5- Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell (Don’t ever watch the movie, the book is a thousand times better) Well, that’s all I have off the top of my head right now ✌🏻
I recently read Namal by Nimrah Ahmed and its one of my fav books now. One of the most beautiful things that I learned from that book is: There's a famous ayah of Quran Paak إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا 'Verily with every hardship comes ease' it's clearly written that with the 'hardship' comes the 'ease' but we always misinterpret this ayah and we perceive that the 'ease' would come after the 'hardship'. We wait for it and we simply ignore the fact that EASE HAS ALREADY COME TO US ALONGWITH THAT HARDSHIP. We are so lost in that hardship that we ignore the ease. So this thing, this little piece of knowledge has changed my perception to some extent whenever I'm worried I j look around to find my 'EASE' and i often find it :)
Too many contexts of 'believe in' .....From a very early age , the subject fascinated me The only 'YOOFOLOGIST' of real credibility & deep understanding , in the world . . . is Jenny Randalls (author & researcher) The final book I read was 'TIME STORMS' by her . . . And then , all the puzzle pieces came together , and 'I knew it all' ~ haha . . . It would be better called 'magnetic storms' & their astounding effect on the temporal lobe And , NO, I am not for one moment suggesting for one moment that 'it's all in the mind' . On the contrary . . . . The phenomena is so vast , but includes gross deception & cover up by the most evil entity ever on earth - the CIABut there time nigh . But who will tell the tale then . . .
“If K-pop has had an impact on sales and readership, it is largely due to the leader of the K-pop group BTS RM, whom Mr. Hoor calls “the culture president of South Korea.” “There really isn't another literary authority on Korean literature like him,” says a BTS fan, emphasizing that young people who don't know what to read come to him for recommendations. RM's Reading Diet has inspired countless clubs and reading lists. His taste for books was confirmed once again when Jung Myung Kwang's book 'The Whale', which was featured in one of RM's Instagram posts, was included in the International Booker 2023 long list."

🌳 An aunt has, on my mum’s side, going back to the 1700s. 🌳 An uncle has done it partially on my dad’s side, when they were putting together my grandad’s book. He went back to about the 1850s for some strands of the family. 📸 Pic: my Great Great Great Grandma, c.1910
*Vio sighs closing his book softly, before looking at the anon* "There are a few problems that would have to be overcome before we could seriously consider it. The biggest one is that Shadow doesn't really understand the concept of marriage. He's heard the word, and seen married couples, albeit hetero married couples, but aside from them having rings he doesn't understand what makes a marriage different from what we already have. @PyromaniaRed is ready to explain it to him if he ever asks, since knowing Shadow, if he does grow more curious about possible marriage, he'll ask Red to explain it to him. Which brings us to our next problem, proposing, knowing Shadow he'd want to make a big deal of it once he realizes how important it is. I'd rather just elope, less hassle that way. Regardless on how we decided to go about it, acting under the presumption that one day we would indeed marry, there's no one who would officiate such a ceremony for us. Shadow is still widely distrusted, and although the general populace acknowledges Shadow is a separate entity from us Colors, most would be uncomfortable officiating a ceremony between two people they see as almost the same person. Honestly, I'd probably have to ask Zelda if she would officiate if that day ever came. She might not be ordained in the traditional sense, but she is Hyrule's monarch, she can perform almost any ceremony in an official capacity." *He turns back to his book, opening it up to the bookmark* "Hope that answered your question."

-Mystery by Robert Greene (There are proven steps you can take to achieve mastery in a discipline. Don’t accept the notion that you were either born with talent or you were. Analyze the path of greatness and you too can become great.)
-The Obstacle Is the Way by Ryan Holiday (Ryan is one of my favorite authors, and this is one of his best works. In this book, Ryan shares a modern take on the ancient philosophy of Stoicism. It will help you overcome any situation in life with endurance and resilience)-The Talent Code by Daniel Coyle (What is the secret of talent? How do we unlock it? This book gives you the tools you can use to maximize your potential)-Deep Work by Cal Newport (Deep work is the ability to focus without distraction on a cognitively demanding task)-The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change by Stephen R. Covey(This classic is still a must read. As much as I love books like Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and all of the other classics, I think this has the most practical applications today. Don’t get me wrong , those other most definitely do as well, but I’d start here)
I think people should go back to book reading and story telling phase. Social media of today has become complex, boring and limited by the latest algorithms. Your thoughts?
I really miss sending texts via gmail. I'm not that old lol, but it was actually good... It made me realize what the word WAIT actually feels like... I think waiting for someone you love is actually sweet and respectable, but nowadays every couple wants quick responses or MUJE SEENZONE KYUN CHORA :')
Yesterday was President's Day in the USA and a weekend from college, so I planned to spend that day with my friend that lives relatively far from me, so we rarely get an opportunity to spend time together. So, I drove to her house and we baked scones, drank a lot of tea, and watched Pride and Prejudice movie which has 6 parts. She was eager to show me that movie version of the book because I'd only watched the 2005 movie at that time. I loved those series and we drank more than 10 cups of tea 😂 so it was a fun day 😁 So far, I don't have any other plans except homework for this week.

In actuality the limelight on social media attracts ppl in a way that everyone wants to be a part of it,ppl are getting intensely involved in different social platforms just for getting fake fame no matter what they are actually going through in their life which results in more depression ,anxiety....thts the only reason ppl have 0 interests in books, novels and good activities....bcz limelight is more important thn good health for all of us...we cant do anything bcz we all are stuck with this sad fact😊

There have been several times when I have not slept through the night. Mainly when I had some serious problem, I was at a friend's and we talked all night, or someone just kept me awake for various reasons. Then I roll around in bed, watch movies, read a book, talk. It depends on the situation 😀
I was/am too, not so much anymore that I'm doing something about it but I still have the occasional soft drink here and there but it hasn't affected my weight so far now I'm only drinking one every few days. But eat healthier/exercise and drink a lot of water, you don't have to cut everything out but do it slowly if you do. That is if you want to do something about it but I'm sure you are also beautiful the way you are now, look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful no matter what the size. Your weight is not who you are and it's not all you are. If you want try to get motivated to exercise or drink water at least once a day however that may be, for me I just do it I don't think about it or I look in the mirror and see how well I'm doing and that kinda motivates me to get back to the weight I was when I was 18 which is slowly but surely working. It is difficult to get into the right mindset and I know there are days you just want to lay around and read a book or something after a stressful day, it's more what you put into your body then exercise but it is a part of it. Whatever you decide to do remember your body isn't all you are and you are beautiful exactly the way you are
This 's prOOf that preschOOl education is important in childhOOd and that chOOsing the right bOOks and tOOls to learn is more important than posing a fOOl challenge to pretend u're cOOl 😁
What was Christmas like for you growing up? Did your family have any specific traditions you always looked forward to? What would you typically have for Christmas dinner? Did you have a special dessert/treat of some sort that you now associate with the holidays? 🎄🎁✨
@JoyouslyJoanna, @GlindaBells this also answers similar questions you two asked 😊Christmas has always sorta been the same for me. As far as I know we haven't changed traditions really ever Haha 🎅But I always looked forward to watching a certain Disney Christmas special featuring Christmas cards from different characters which tell of their various adventures, through clips from movies like The Jungle Book, Robin Hood etc. It's something many Swedish familes has as a tradition. Since it's aired on national TV at 3 pm, that's when we begin our celebrations, by watching it. When we watch said special we also drink mulled wine 📺🇸🇪Soon followed is dinner, which features various traditional Swedish Christmas foods! I'll post a picture below but examples include meatballs, sausages, herring with various sauces, casserole, ham etc. 🐟🥔After dinner we open presents, which of course was the biggest highlight growing up. For dessert afterwards, we have something called ris à la malta, which is sort of like a sweetened porridge 🎁We end the day by playing a certain Christmas gift game where you take turns rolling dice. If you get a 1 or a 6 during the first round of rolls, you take a cheap gift from a pile. Once all gifts are taken, a timer is set for like 10 min or so and the second round begins. Then if you roll a 1 or a 6 you get to take a gift from someone else. The round ends when the timer rings and the presents you then have collected you get to keep. During both rounds, if you roll a 6 you get to roll again 🎲
What's something that you always put off, but when you start doing it and it's over, you really miss it? (For me it was watching Harry Potter movies 😁🤭) It can be anything, though.
It was every longer serie like GOT or Dexter or Lucifer and every thrilling detective book when I know killer already 😅. My daughter with her friend are going ti visit concert Harry Potter in March here 😁👍
I read & read until I fall asleep with a book over my chest Then I find links between Iqbal's paradigm of nation states & Foucault's biopower in my sleep Then I wake up & choose to incorporate science instead of digital humanities into literature Then I think of putting Russell & Nietzsche in parallels while I browse banal twitter hashtags I sometimes imagine Ulysses on a span of years instead of a single day whilst painting whirling derveshis And at night, as I close my eyes to sleep I try to find contexts of the disjointed letters at the start of some of my favorite Surahs It ends on the same note: a book over my chest, my body on rest & a mind endless.
For someone who left to stay out public eye He not really doing great job I don't feel sorry for him you don't make it public got problem with your family do it in privacy don't see the king or his brother doing live interviews slagging him of tickle me when he says he wants apologise of them and want relationship with them I don't think going on live TV and writing a book about them will ever made amends I think he has sick of seeing him over the news he boring me with his sob story now
Skiing during February, but this year I will just sit in the cottage and read book, because my knee is broken and it will be repaired in March (I hope...) 🤷♀️
Oh-yes, constantly .They tried every trick in book and even those not in the book ~ especially. How about you ? - you get sack attempts ? You could write a wee story about the most heinous & devious attempts !
Thank you! It’s actually from a song that came out in 2005 and from an old book as well. The song is “Who Is She?” There is a part in which it says “Or is Ayesha just a dream?” And from the books, they are called “She” and “Ayesha: The Return of She” my mom was obsessed with the name 😅❤️
