What way of self-care do you enjoy the most and what feels more like an obligation?
I love preparing and cooking nutritious meals for myself. I'm at my most content when I am in the kitchen and I love trying out new recipes. I've actually just got done making a huge pot of harissa carrot soup, I also baked some bread this morning.
Making food is a form of self-care I greatly enjoy.
One form of self-care that feels more like an obligation than an enjoyable act is getting out of bed early. My sleeping patterns have always been a little screwy and I'm the total opposite of a morning person. However, I've realized that allowing myself to sleep in late was having an adverse effect on my mental health, so try and get up early as often as I can.
