How do you cope with burning out?
I'll go on a self-care mission.
Protocol 1: Release the stress.
- Cry it out
- Sleep it off
- Talk it out with myself, partner, mother, friends or counsellor
- Listen, sing and dance to music
- Read fictions
- Eat my favorite food
- Physical chores (vacuuming, mopping, washing/folding laundry, washing dishes etc)
- Journal down my thoughts and emotions
Protocol 2: Identify and change the triggers
- Negotiate/Compromise expectations
- Space out workload/interactions
- Create and adhere to boundaries
- Create and utilize spaces for mini breaks and 'me' time
- Explore resources tha may help in preventing and managing burn-outs
