Are you sometimes forgetful? What do you do to remember stuff or to not lose things when you're out and about? 🥴🤦‍♂️

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Yes I do forget things. To combat this degradation of memory I do the following:
- Appointments: I keep two calendar books. One is a physical calendar and one digital.
- Lists: I make a to do list
- Appointments: All doctors appointments are entered into calendar and also posted on my desk.
- Speech: I always try to think before I speak or act so I avoid looking or sounding incompetent. This might sound strange but every word that comes out of my mouth or is written on paper is predetermined, planned and prepared within my brain prior to my audience hearing it. This also applies to music as well. Otherwise I would sound like the MSM talking heads. Nothing but an incoherent rambling idiot speaking in fragmented sentences with mispronouncing words.
- Keys: I hang keys on key rack
- Tools: I organize my tools
- Clothes: I put my clothes in predefined spaces
- Writing: My music, poems and essays have titles and are stored in alphanumeric sequence and according to style or topic
- Time: every room has a clock and I always leave early whenever I have appointments to avoid getting lost or creating needless stress
- Routine: I adhere to a routine whether it be exercise, eating, reading, practicing, etc. Without a routine I literally cannot function.

When the clock strikes 4, my heart asks for a margarita. I've been having them way too frequently, I need to slow my roll, I so don't want it to become a habit lol. How's your day so far, how have you been?🌼

My day is good. I just finished my painting, Joy. It's bigger than I usually work, at 18 x 24 inches. I hope an opportunity comes along soon to show it.

My living room is Navy blue and bee themed. So my friend Chris put up the shelves I bought, the bee clock was from Sainsbury’s, blue carnations we’re from Dunelm, my little bee pug was given to me as a gift from my friend Daniel for Christmas and the little bee sign was given to me as a gift from my mom. The weird thing is, the bee thing wasn’t intentional 😅 It just kinda happened, and weirdly it all went together 😁 but I love it, it’s cute 🥰

Is cursive writing obsolete?

Yes. My daughter is 15 and in high school. The public schools that she has attended no longer teach cursive writing. Do you know what else children are not taught? How to read a traditional analog clock. Young people can recognize and interpret the output of a digital clock but have great difficulty reading a clock consisting of an hour and minute hand which, in my opinion, is dreadful. Personally, I find analog clocks interesting from both a mathematical perspective and from a navigational viewpoint. For example, if I see something off in the distance say an eagle and I say: "look at the eagle at 11 o'clock, boomers know exactly where to look. If you make the same declaration to a person under the age of 30, they have no idea what you are talking about because they cannot visualize where 11 o'clock is relative to space. So their understanding and interpretation of space and time is severely compromised, in my opinion.

All I know
It's so unreal
Watch you go

I tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, it doesn't even matter
I had to fall to lose it all

One thing, I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try

To remind myself of a time when I tried so hard
In spite of the way you were mockin' me
Actin' like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised it got so far
Things aren't the way they were before

You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then

Do you eat regularly or only when you are hungry?

I eat only when I'm hungry. I make my own schedule because I keep odd hours. I don't go by the clock. Unless I have plans to go somewhere. But I eat when I want to and sleep when I want to and I would like to be on my regular scheduled but if I'm not I'm not going to beat myself up over it. Our bodies tell us what we need and so that's why I listen to mine. My weight loss plan is so easy it's not funny. I'm in charge, not food! Haha I have customized my plan according to my needs and it is working perfectly. I'm losing weight and effortlessly. Like this morning I ate breakfast at 1 a.m. and now at 7:03 am, I'm hungry, so I'll be eating again. As long as I eat the right things, no problem! I don't gain. And that's really saying something for me because I have a bad thyroid and slow metabolism. I'm just not going to lock myself in a self-made box because society says we must do something this way or that way. Haha I wish you the best of luck on yours! Anyway I've read and heard dozen of theories, a doctor say this the other say that. I'm not a big fan of 'eating' I eat mostly cause my body needs it and I generally don't like eating if it's not lunch/dinner time. I'm a chaotic person so I try to have a schedule in many things I do. Also, many times, especially during summer I don't feel the urge to have a dinner, but if I don't, I'd probably get a headache.
I never used to have a breakfast, just one or many coffee while commuting but recently I started being more regular even on that.

Do people still turn their clock back manually when its daylight saving time?

I personally don't lol
My phone and computer do it automatically! And I don't wear my watches... so I forget about them xD
But I know my parents do. Like their clocks need to be changed manually. Ditto the microwave and oven need to be done manually too :)

Talking of big art pieces, I was here today, at the Angel of the North. I think I'd probably make some sort of big metal structure too, that was engineering or science related, but preferably something that actually did something, eg a clock or sundial maybe.

When you've applied for jobs in the past, how has it been for you to write resumes, personal letters etc.? 📄

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
I hаte this whole thing, really. You don't know what to write about, what it's better to keep silent about, what exactly these HR people will pay attention to.
3 times out of 5 of my part-time jobs, I got a job through friends of a friends. Once I wanted everything to be "real": with pension contributions, taxes and all that sort of thing. Dаmn. I wrote 2 resumes on job search sites and hеll started - they called me almost around the clock, despite the fact that I clearly indicated the hours when it was convenient for me. I went to about 15 interviews, my legs were no longer physically walking. I already hаte all these HR departments - in clоsets, with papers, with tеrrible leather sofas, with glass benches and with people in suits for the price of three of my kidnеys and who smile falsely like crocodiles who are constantly trying to impоse their opinions.
Thank goodness, now I work for myself, and in a year, I really hope, it will turn out that the research institute does not have such HR departments as in retail.

Are you good at crafts and making art?

I recycled an UGLY beer clock that I won at work in a contest to see who sold the most highlighted entrees of the day. . .
I had some Christmas ribbon left over from the holidays and wove it into sheets and cut out apples, that’s my kitchen theme. . .
I just love doing crafty things,
I may not be good at them,
but I’m fine with that. . .

🏻 Do you believe that what goes around comes around?

Everytime I answer this question people demand evidence. So let's begin with the irrefutable evidence. Let's examine the ferris wheel. The chair marked as #1 starts at 6:00 on the clock, which is perpendicular to the earth, correct? It begins moving in a counter clockwise direction and passes 3:00 (90 degree angle) then moves to 12:00 (a 180 degree angle) then passes 9:00 (270 degrees) and stops at 6:00 (360 degrees). This example proves that what goes around comes around. And for you woke activists, this is what scientists call an absolute truth. Now return to your safe space and take 20 deep breaths and relax knowing that absolute truths do indeed exist contrary to what woke activists who proclaim that absolute truths do not exist.

It has recently become aware to me as told by others, many of the younger generation (Gen Y, Z) don’t know how to tell time on an analog clock. They either never learned or just forgot how. Can you tell time on an analog clock? Do you know of people who can’t?

How you feel about having kids?

greg_blowboyski’s Profile PhotoMalcolm
I love children. They are such precious souls 💗. I would like children in the future once I have saved enough money and met someone to be their father. I have always wanted to adopt because there are so many children without a loving home. Children also teach you so many lessons, like being more patient and becoming more present. Of course, since I'm a woman, my biological clock ticks faster than mens, so if I don't meet anybody that I believe will be a good father, than I will adopt on my own.

What question, if your willing to share, got you the most responses on Askfm? 🎙

I would say that it was a poem I wrote in 2020 entitled:
“Morning Light” by Alex, Photograph by Red Zeppelin
Life bothers me,
So I run away and hide.
It’s a coping mechanism,
That I cannot deny.
People do not understand,
What I say or do.
So I write all day and night,
Til my hands turn blue.
But if by chance our time is short,
And autumn leaves begin to fall.
Remember all the fun we had,
Those fond memories we recall.
For when the bell begins to toll,
The ticking clock strikes twelve.
We will hold each other with all our might,
And dance our dance til morning light.

How come the older I become, the more I distance myself from the liberal views? When I was a teen, which wasn't that long ago considering I'm only 21, and highly influenced by tumblr (lol) I used to have some views that now I consider absurd, for example not sleeping w/a trans person makes u a bigot

I think it's due to having a more mature perspective on the world and not just following along with groupthink. The views are getting more and more absurd, to the point people are denying the fact that biological sex exists.
Wokesters are brain-washing the young, and are going to drive teen lesbians and gay guys back into the closet by harassing them to have sex with people they don’t want to have sex with. I’m seeing the clock of social progress turned back 30 years.
I swear there is this specific breed of mostly american / american social justice "activist" type of hyperonline woke person now who all act morally superior to everyone but who's “activism” only matters to them when it ends in hurting someones feelings or chasing them off platforms.
The ideological inconsistencies start becoming more obvious once you realize that negativity is the one constant in some people's interactions with the world and other people in it and as long as it's not them being called out or publicly harassed, then they're fine with it.

Do you ever have the feeling that you’re not productive enough? 😩 what do you do when you have such a feeling?

LunarHuntress’s Profile PhotoYentl
"Do you ever have the feeling that you’re not productive enough?"
yes.
"what do you do when you have such a feeling?"
tell myself that it's okay to take time to rest and recuperate. it's fine if I don't complete everything on my to-do list, because I will have time to do it in the following days. sometimes I give myself incentives to get started/finish what I need to get done if I feel to unmotivated.
remember that;
"You don't need to be busy. You don't need to justify your existence in terms of productivity. Rest is an essential part of survival. An essential part of us. An essential part of being the animals we are. When a dog lies in the sun I imagine it does it without guilt, because as far as I can tell dogs seem more in tune with their own needs. As I grow older, I think that resting might actually be the main point of life. To sit down passively, inside or outside, and merely absorb things — the tick of a clock, a cloud passing by, the distant hum of traffic, a bird singing — can feel like an end itself. It can actually feel and be more meaningful than a lot of the stuff we are conditioned to see as productive. Just as we need pauses between notes for music to sound good, and just as we need punctuation in a sentence to for it to be coherent, we should see rest and reflection and passivity — and even sitting on the soft — as an intrinsic and essential part of life that is needed for the whole to make sense.

Share a memory that makes you feel better.

Although my college days were constantly packed with academic stresses, they were my happiest moments.
I still remember when I broke one of my personal physical barriers. My school usually conducted an annual event, named as 'Will Run', which involves all students and staff in a large-scaled run along a marked route around the school. Since I wasn't able to participate in vigorous activities due to health issues, I had to join in 'Will Walk' ninstead and clock in my distance after an hour during normal Physical Education (PE) lessons. I was forced to train for weeks, bearing in mind that I had never exercised since primary/elementary school. I trained for and gradually increased my distance from one to three kilometres. On the actual day, held a week or so away from 'Will Run', I aimed for three, then four and finally, pushed on for five kilometres (Bout three miles) in an hour. It was exhausting but the sense of achievement made my hardwork all worth it. I did it!

Hi tita, how do u avoid becoming a corporate slave? I dont want to be one of those people na my life would revolve around my work :(

It's an unhappy person's myth that you can't control your life. You control every aspect of it. If you establish boundaries early on in your career, then your life won't revolve around work. How do you do this? Define your lifestyle and be ready to defend it. Establish strict working hours and leave work as soon as you're off the clock, even if your boss insists on staying. Do not answer calls or emails after hours. The funny part is employers respect your time more when you establish boundaries. You become a doormat when you say yes to everything and then the moment you say no, your performance goes down. Always remember that your work doesn't love you. They love the money you bring. Your employer will never care about your health, no matter how much they say they do. That's your job to take care of yourself. Their job is to maintain their bottom line.

السلام عليكم دكتور مكن تشرح لى بإستفاضة عنvital signs🏨📟 ؟

Vital signs are measurements of the body's most basic functions. The 4 main vital signs include:
Body temperature
Pulse rate
Breathing rate (respiration)
Blood pressure
Vital signs help detect or monitor medical problems.
1/
body temperature
The normal body temperature of a person varies depending on gender, recent activity, food and fluid consumption, time of day, and, in women, the stage of the menstrual cycle. Normal body temperature can range from 97.8° F (36.5°C) to 99°F (37.2°C) for a healthy adult. A person's body temperature can be taken in any of the following ways:
Orally. Temperature can be taken by mouth using a digital thermometer that uses an electronic probe to measure body temperature.
Rectally. Temperatures taken rectally tend to be 0.5°F to 0.7°F higher than when taken by mouth. This is more common in babies because their body doesn't regulate temperature the way an older child or adult's body does.
Armpit (axillary). Temperatures can be taken under the arm using a digital thermometer. Temperatures taken by this route tend to be 0.3°F to 0.4°F lower than those temperatures taken by mouth.
By ear. A special thermometer can quickly measure the temperature of the eardrum, which reflects the body's core temperature (the temperature of the internal organs).
By skin. A special thermometer can quickly measure the temperature of the skin on the forehead. Some thermometers don't require contact with the skin to get a temperature reading.
Internally. This method is common in people who are critically ill in an intensive care unit. The temperature can be measured by probes that are placed in the esophagus, heart, or bladder.

2/
Pulse Rate
The pulse rate is a measurement of the heart rate. This is the number of times the heart beats per minute. As the heart pushes blood through the arteries, the arteries expand and contract with the flow of the blood. Taking a pulse not only measures the heart rate, but also can indicate the following:
Heart rhythm
Strength of the pulse
The normal pulse for healthy adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute. The pulse rate may fluctuate and increase with exercise, illness, injury, and emotions. Females ages 12 and older, in general, tend to have faster heart rates than do males. Athletes, such as runners, who do a lot of cardiovascular conditioning, may have heart rates near 40 beats per minute with no problems.
When taking your pulse:
Using the first and second fingertips, press firmly but gently on the arteries until you feel a pulse.
Start counting the pulse when the clock's second hand is on the 12.
Count your pulse for 60 seconds (or for 30 seconds and then multiply by 2 to calculate beats per minute).
When counting, don't watch the clock continuously, but concentrate on the beats of the pulse.
If unsure about your results, ask another person to count for you.

3/ Respiratory Rate
The respiration rate is the number of breaths you take each minute. The ra

Find someone who makes you realize three things: one, that home is not a place, but a feeling. Two, that time is not measured by a clock, but by moments. And three, that heartbeats are not heard, but felt and shared ♥️

What was the hardest decision you had to make?

Coming out. My family and three nonrelated people know, and that was hard enough. If I fully come out, I will most likely lose my childhood friend who's extremely homophobic, has a religious family and tried to get them to force his ex girlfriend into a conversion camp (pray and maybe electrocute the gay away) and due to his family being military he has access to firearms so I might be killed, and he's in all of my social circles (he has friends at my school, I might be going to his school, I lose my scouts).
Whether or not to cut my stepmother out of my life after she did something creepy and violated my trust. She has a tendency to not be very nice but I put up with it to spend more time with my dad but I put my foot down and said enough was enough. Thankfully my dad understood and we decided to see each other whenever he was in town instead of every other weekend.
I’m an older student (27, not too old, but older than average for beginning Uni). I’m completely settled with my partner of 6 years. I got into my dream course, which is difficult to get into because it’s competitive. I also got offered a place at St Andrews Uni, which is very close, but doesn’t offer the degree I really want to do. I could have went to St Andrews and done a postgrad later. I chose the other University, which was an extremely hard choice for me as I’m going to have to live in student halls during the week, and travel home at weekends. I still don’t know if I’ve made the right choice.
So there was a period for several yaers where I couldn't hold a job. The longest I worked was some 3-4 months grassroots projects. Then my friend in Florida tells me that he could get me a job where he works (I live in Washington State), if I could move down there and help him pay rent so he doesn't get kicked out. That was an easy decision. Hard one comes a couple years later, after I've been in Florida awhile. I hate my job, but I'm in the best shaoe of my life, paying rent and working like a functional adult. Then my grandmother (who has previously had a stroke) takes a nasty fall and breaks her hip, and now needs round the clock supervision to make sure she doesn't fall again.
Admitting to my family and loved ones that I had been using heroin for the last 15 years of my life. When you're trapped in the cycle, giving up on yourself seems like the most rational decision because it is the easiest way out.
Steer clear from doing anything with the love of my life after I was diagnosed with genital herpes (we broke up; I met someone who ended up being extremely awful to me and gave me the herps; but now we’ve been hanging out again). I didn’t want to be friends with him because it hurt too much but I’ve been extremely depressed and had a lot of suicidal thoughts and decided I wanted him in my life because he was the only person I remember ever being my happiest with/around.

What to do when you love him, but he distance himself and tell you that he’s not ready, but then he come backs to you and talk n try to be all normal? Need serious advice!!

People who leave you in the first place will always leave whenever they want. This depends upon you whether you have the guts to handle another dent on your self respect or you are that dump to understand the difference between sugar and spice.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day so try understanding the untold or else wait for the time to revile it hence making you pick regrets out of a never existing relation.

I wouldn't. Running a business is a lot of work, stress, responsibility and long hours. I'm much happier knowing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing and when, and then leaving it in the office when the clock hits 5pm.

I rarely wake up early in the morning, I usually wake up before noon for example if I have my alarm clock set for 11:10 AM. 😸
I think I can wake up sometime before noon even when I don't have my alarm clock set. 🤔
So I hope that somehow answers your question. 😁

If you dont celebrate Christmas just ignore this question Whats the earliest

What time do you go to bed?

3:30am usually. Wake up naturally around 1:00-2:00pm. I don't work or have anywhere specific I ever need to be so I just go with my body's natural night owl flow. Also have a chronic illness so need that good 10 hours of sleep usually.
Depends on when I have to get up the next day for work. My shifts are all over the place so I either go to sleep at like 9 at night to 3 in the morning. Again depends on how tired I am feeling and when I have to get up.
During the week, I usually at least get in bed by 9:30. I read for a bit until I can’t keep my eyes open. Then I’ll turn on a sleep meditation. Most nights, I fall asleep before it’s over. My alarm goes off at 6:15 for work.
Going to bed depends in what shift i am. Around 6-8 h, again depends on a shift. Pretty much like a zombie running on autopilot for the first few hours after waking up. Even on weekends or during vacations i sleep around 8h and am a total zombie for few hours.
Go to bed at 8 or 9 pm. Wake up at 4 am. I feel like a zombie but I have sleep anxiety so I wake up a lot. Bed between 7-9p up about 4-430/5a. Feel pretty good. Until narcolepsy hits and I pass out.
I feel pressured to go to bed knowing I have to be up early in the morning. I can be watching something good on Netflix but am clock watching! I will then go to bed and spend a couple of hours on my phone perusing Reddit, but that’s okay because I’m in bed!
I aim to be in bed and off my phone by 11 but it doesn't always work out. More importantly I think is a set wake up time. I wake up at 7am every day (including the weekend!) because of the dog and that's helped my sleep more than anything. I get tired around the same time everyday, and I'm less groggy in the mornings on weekdays because I've not disrupted my routine at the weekends. I also don't drink caffeine after lunch anymore, I used to drink tea pretty much on the hour every hour all work day, until I realised I just wasn't getting tired at night. Caffeine has a half life of about five hours, so if you have a cup of coffee at 5pm, half of that caffeine is still swirling round you at 10pm.
However, as I just don't seem to have any spare time for hobbies, I'm thinking of pushing bedtime back to midnight. All my mates manage to get online gaming done at night, and are up around the same time as me so If i'm not going to get much decent sleep anyway, might as well use the time constructively (playing Cyberpunk2077 or painting little plastic goblins).
Weekdays, into bed around 10:15, asleep usually at 11 after a spot of reading. Awake again 6:30-6:45 to go for my morning walk. Rarely need the alarm. Weekends maybe half hour later to sleep & to wake. I feel wretched if I don’t follow this pattern.
Between 8pm and 9pm usually. If I'm really tired it can be as early as 7pm. Once every two weeks I stay up until 9:30pm for writing group. I have no particular need to be up early, but find it difficult to stay awake once the sun goes down.
