Dieser Gedanke brachte sie zum Seufzen. Alsbald er fertig war, streckte sie ihre freie Hand aus um nun durch seine Haare zu wuscheln, nachdem sie ihm seinen Hut abnahm. „Ich hoffe ich lerne irgendwann mal diesen Luffy kennen. Ihr müsst euch wirklich nahestehen.“ Sich sein Hut aufgesetzt, stellte sie die Flasche ab und lehnte sich zurück. „Ich habe jeden verloren der mir lieb ist. Keiner den ich damals kannte ist noch wirklich da. Alle sind verschollen. Außer du natürlich.“ Ein kurzes Kichern entwich ihr. „Seit Jahren bin ich alleine unterwegs, versuche mich aufzuheitern. Ich war auch mal ziemlich verliebt. Nicht in Gray. Ein Anderer. Jedoch bezweifle ich, dass ich mich jemals an ihn erinnern werde. Vielleicht hat er ja auch die Erinnerungen zu ihm gelöscht.“ Die Gedanken die sie quälten flossen einfach aus ihr raus. Vielleicht lag es ja am Alkohol. „Denkst du ich werde jemals wirklich glücklich sein? Manchmal denke ich, es wäre besser gewesen bei dem Unfall gestorben zu sein.“ Ein verbittertes Lächeln lag auf ihren Lippen, während sie seinen Hut etwas tiefer zog um ihr Gesicht zu verdecken. „Ich e mich verändert. Ich wünschte Gray wäre wenigstens hier um mir zur Seite zu stehen. Ich weiß nicht mehr was richtig und was falsch ist.“ Erneut folgte ein Seufzen. Sie hatte zu viel gesagt. „Ich sollte schlafen. Wo kann ich mich nochmal aufs Ohr hauen?“

I feel maximum uncomfortable because I feel I'm making myself incredibly vulnerable by showing my emotions so blatantly. I think it has a lot to do with my social anxiety and my desire to remain in control of myself, and more broadly, my interactions with others. All in all, though, overcoming this fear has been way more rewarding than humiliating.
I can slightly tolerate it if I cry in front of my boyfriend. I will feel a bit embarrassed if it's in front of my close family or friends. Outside of that: horrible, embarrassed, uncomfortable, etc. Showing any kind of emotion in front of other people is hard for me. My default is to be neutral and calm because that's when I feel most in control. Outside of that I feel overwhelmed and vulnerable and that's very hard for me to handle.
I use to feel embarrassed when I was younger but I was brought up to show emotions and to not hide them, I was never shamed for crying ever by my parents. I’m a big cryer so I don’t really care if I do it in public or in front of people, it’s how we release built up emotions and it’s quiet beautiful actually. I’m pretty comfortable with it. I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve and am a crybaby. I cry in front of my bf and I don’t feel weird or uncomfortable. I think has a lot to do with how others have made you feel growing up. It’s an important coping mechanism and you should never feel bad about it💗
Finally real and seen— this last year I have been stressed beyond belief. I am a very emotionally quiet person (middle child, 11 siblings) so showing negative emotion of any kind is not really my thing. When I get stressed to the point that I’m talking about my stressors and begin crying, I finally feel a release that comes with being seen, heard, and honest.
With the exception of my husband (and then I felt silly) I've only ever cried in front of someone else once in the past 25 years and I felt very ashamed. When I was growing up crying was considered a sign of weakness and something to be mocked; I don't actually believe this myself but it's still ingrained into me.
I do have some times at work that I broke down, full-on with tears flowing LOL immediately ran to the nearest bathroom to stop myself from crying, & would refuse to talk to anybody until I can discuss the issues without bursting into tears.
I feel weak and embarrassed unless it's at a funeral or if someone just died, or if there's some other extremely emotionally weighted situation. But crying bc I'm angry or in pain or just plain sad? I absolutely hate doing it in front of people, or even on my own if people know that's what I'm doing. Crying silently in the bathroom can be a very helpful skill lol.
