Katherine eyed him suspiciously as he shared his thoughts, swallowing at the mention of her unfinished sentence, eyes squinting as she wondered just what assumptions he came to as to what the continuation could be. "I was gonna tell you that we needed to leave." She stated, trying to brush off the topic as nonchalantly as possible. "We had wasted a lot of time and needed to move." Katerina reassured, her face void of emotions as she pulled her best poker face. A waste of time couldn't be more wrong of a word to describe that little encounter but she couldn't give in, especially when Damon was being that smug about it. "We're gonna be stuck together a while, Damon, there's plenty of time to continue whatever had happened there." Her smirk matched his own as she playfully teased.

He stepped closer to her and Katherine's breath got hitched in her throat, this man was doing things to her that she hadn't felt, not since she's been human and encountered a very charming Klaus once upon a life time. Katherine's gaze stayed on him all the way till he reached her, she gave in; leaning against the car as he physically requested. His face inches from hers and just as she thought he was diving in for a kiss, her eyes racing between his eyes and lips. As soon as he dipped lower into her neck, her skin became prickly at his breath blowing on it.

I find it completely absurd to assume that nature was always in its place since the beginning or a random huge explosion made planets come into their perfect orbits and suddenly earth became an ideal planet for survival with appropriate day and night schedule, perfect oxygen levels, abundance of food and minerals and perfect ground for population expansion. Even diving further into human body, every organ, artery, vein, gland, tissue etc are in their appropriate places and if one of them starts malfunctioning, the whole body feels it. We take credit for tiniest bit of innovation, invention or discovery and we should believe that the randomness of the nature was so perfect that everything was inherently in order? These things created are beyond the scope of human imagination and so much is yet to be discovered but we are very sure that we know how everything begin?
Someone or something beyond our scope of imagination is definitely pulling those strings.

Humans didn’t randomly come up with “Oh lets create a programming language which could allow us to communicate with the machines”
We understood the existence of electricity in nature, understood their native language, came up with an idea of communicating with them, translated them into a language which is easily understood by humans and finally guided them into working for our benefit. I don’t see that happening randomly without the existence of a roadmap otherwise a lot of people shouldn’t have taken credit for something so perfect and random that it was bound to happen.

Maldives. I’ve already been to the Caribbean and Hawaii and they’re both the most beautiful I’ve ever been to, but I wanna visit the Maldives since I’ve never been there before, and they’re so isolated. Some place with good diving & surfing, such as Hawai'i, Fiji, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia.
England! I was able to go in 1999 and since I’d been in love with it from afar all of my life it was a dream come true. Now I want to go back desperately and hope to actually get to move there one day. It felt more like home than anywhere I’ve ever been and my heart will always long to be there.
Oregon for the redwood forests or Scandinavia for the mountainous scenery and culture.
I second Scotland, one of my favourite places for a break, the scenery along the west coast of Scotland around Glencoe, Fort William and the Isle of Skye is some of the most spectacular mountain scenery you will find anywhere in Europe. I've done a few cycle tours around Scotland, but I had planned to visit during 2020 and do some hill-walking, maybe parts of the Cape Wrath Trail and the West Highland way and a few mountains in between, the walk from Cape Wrath to Glasgow would be 650 miles, maybe this year!
Scotland! Luckily, I went about a year and a half ago for three weeks. It was INCREDIBLE. Everything I ever dreamed of. I still think about it every single day and look at my photos and videos often. Half my anecdotes start with, "When I was in Scotland...". I'm that annoying person :) I've wanted to go since I was little. I have always been a history buff, and also thought Scotland was the most beautiful place I had ever seen (I was right). I went to some archaeological sites that were on my bucket list. I was waiting for years for someone to go with me, but my friend circle has the fairly normal Canadian 4 weeks of vacation and they like going to warm beaches. So as a 30th birthday present to myself, I decided to go solo. Hopefully one day I can live there for a bit.
Both are destinations that are so far away by plane that most American tourists have neither the financial desire or ability to go there, as flights typically require a stop in NZ or Australia before you get to the island. As a result, you get far, far fewer obnoxious tourists and a much more authentic, unspoiled tropical paradise than say, Hawaii.
if we’re talking Christmas holiday, on my couch with my dog and cat watching A Christmas Carol and having some cookies and milk.
I really want to stay in one of those "over the water" hotel rooms. Maybe Bora Bora.
Switzerland and Austria. I was supposed to go around Christmas time in 2017, but I got pregnant and cancelled the trip. Someday....😭
I have always wanted to visit Egypt and see the pyramids and other ancient structures. I don't think I will ever get to.

Those three ideas are always floating around, but I just need time to actually go. As for my next trip, I have no idea. If it's not a long, multi-week trip, it's very spontaneous. I may decide to take a trip to French Polynesia out of the blue one day, and you'll catch me on the next flight out. I actually do this semi-frequently, as whenever I need to focus on an important essay for one of my classes, I'll leave town for a few days to focus. Small <1 week trips are always spontaneous and I go wherever I feel like. It's the bigger trips that require planning and lots of time.
Before I watched the video series in Vietnam though I really wanted to travel to Italy and explore the country in depth. So I was also in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Italy (both of these trips would be over a year away because I just recently booked a flight to Lisbon to start a 5 month solo trip already).
So now I’m just planning over a year in advance honestly. I’m thinking when I get around to my next trip I would do 2 months in Vietnam on a motorbike, a month in Taiwan, 2 and a half months in Italy and finish off with 2 weeks in Malta. (again I only really thought of Taiwan from posts on this subreddit, and then from lurking in google maps I saw popular tourist attractions that looked beautiful, so I thought taiwan would be cool to visit)
Money is a big factor for me and skyscanner has been a life saver with its wide search options. I can look at worldwide prices for a given month. They have some results from iffy sites though so you have to be smart but I’ve booked most of my vacations because of deals found there. I do more nature/dive trips (done lots of the Caribbean) now while I’m relatively young but sometimes I feel like I’m missing out on European cities but hopefully I’ll live long enough and see those when I’m a bit older and not as keen on scuba diving and hiking all the time. Thailand and Cambodia is my top dream trip though and I’ve decided to do it next fall regardless of the cost.
For example - I was looking for a place to go to. fiddling about on a flights site. Hmm Ireland maybe? I could split the time with Scotland? oh wait these are some seriously cheap rides to Istanbul...hell yes Istanbul it is! Do I know anything about Istanbul? no....nothing more than what Ive come across in passing...Well lets go find out. In another case its more planned. My GF is finishing nursing school (seriously bad ass) and we have talked for a long time about going to Morocco. She was there with her family when she was young. And I love me some middle eastern stuff. So Ive always kept that destination on hold as "our thing". So I was fiddling about again with flights and I was seriously considering Spain. The idea of roaming Spain by train had serious pull for me. And my GF says "I think Im going to take a break between degrees this spring" well hey girlfriend, can I take you to Morocco?

Fate plays an important role in life. Well, fate is something you cannot rely on. But, it can give you a sense of hopefulness and positivity. You never know which day might turn out lucky for you. One big factor related to fate is that people think they will get stuff if it is in their fate or if they’re lucky enough. Let me give an example of how fate works. Just imagine there is a pool full of gold coins. Well, the catch here is that out of 1000 coins that are in the pool, only 15 are of real gold. Now, all you need to do is keep diving into the pool until you find those real gold coins. This is how opportunities work, sometimes you get them so early that you actually don’t know their worth. But, if you have taken enough dives and felt enough fake gold coins, you will automatically know when that real gold will be in your hands. One thing to learn here could be that you should try hard and give your best in every opportunity you get because some people also get that real gold in the first dive. Yes, the chances are always there. This develops two kinds of people. First ones are those who get their real gold coin very early in their initial dives and they are the ones who say “If it’s meant to be, it will be”. Then there are others who have to take several dives to find those real coins. They are the ones who say “If you want it, go get it”. It depends but mostly because once I was in a shop and I was at the till with my mother. I wanted a candy bar and so as a sort of punishment my mother let the person behind us go in front. Once we had left the store there was a huge crowd gathered in the parking lot. The lady my mother had let in front had gotten struck by a car so it really depends most of the time yes because I’m that situation what if I didn’t want the candy bar? What if my mother didn’t let the lady in front of us? Then again fate doesn’t always seem to show itself to me in a way if you know what I mean so yeah it depends.
I believe that many things are fated, but some things aren't. All of the big things that happen in our lives, like meeting someone or a big event happening, or even just something that has a large effect on you in some way, is down to fate. However, smaller things, such as things that don't affect you in a big way, are down to chance, like whether you made that stoplight or if the fast food you went to is out of the thing you want. That kind of thing is chance in my opinion.
My personal belief is that something, be it god, nature, energy, destiny, whatever you want to call it, something gives you every single chance you need in life to be happy and successful, but it’s up to us to recognize those opportunities and take full advantage of them. I’ve just had way too many instances where doors opened up right when I needed them to for me to believe that it was random.
