Tudom, az én részemről nagyon idegesítő tud lenni a hunglish 0-24-es használata, but i can't help myself.

Refind

Z American English

هل متابعة قناة زي ذي أمريكان انجلش + الممارسة كافي لإتقان اللغة الانجليزية ؟ لو لا الصح اي ؟

asaadali5’s Profile PhotoBta3 aktsad w qanon ✨
تسمع اي videos ل natives او podcasts
تذاكر وقت محدد في اليوم حتي لو ١٠ دقايق
تمارس اللغة بأي طريقة مناسبة ومعاك
الحاجة اللي هتذاكرها لازم نحطها في جمل مستعملة يوميا و تذكر مخك بيها
هتذاكر grammar يبقي لازم تكتب جمل او تقول حاجة و تطبق فيها اللي انت درسته

Do you want to talk?

Just wanted to share this. There's an issue in our questionnaire. I went to our supervisor for 4 days she met us today. There were 2 other girls with me. At first she didn't accept it and then I typed some new questions and added them, they suggested some too, it was originally their proposal and there was literally mistakes of grammar. Like mann!!!
Khair mam made some corrections. Then I said to text in the group. One of them said, don't do that now, do it in the evening. I went back to hostel and she texted in the group taking whole of the credit and ordering everyone to do things. Last week we went to an HOD for application, she did the same and said I alone went to the mam and spent my 3 hours. Like mannn!! It's exhausting in med school. I loved my previous group. I just can't bear with it. She's my friend. Like wanna cry now a lot. I've already did it but still some more hours. Allah g tells me every time not to make friends. Why do I still do it? I just wana cry.

What do you judge people by ? Iike chewing loudly or bad grammar etc

TheRealPeach13962’s Profile PhotoTheRealPeach
I'm not one to really judge people, I'm accepting of most stuff or let things slide.
If I had to say something though I guess, usually poor hygiene a bit. I don't judge judge them, but like if im at a job or out somewhere and someone there smells like they didn't wahs their uniform in weeks, and hasn't washed their hair etc, i can feel a bit off about it haha. Mostly because it's unpleasant to smell them haha more than it is a bad thing.
If someone's come from the gym, or had a tough day or been ill etc then it's understandable. But some people just barely ever wash and makes them look less professional in my opinion.

How long did it take you to learn to speak English fluently? What methods did you use? What methods were most effective?

About a year once I came to US at 15 yo. Before that I studied it in school, took private English courses, and additional after-school courses. When I came to US I could communicate on a basic level but the expressions I used were not in tune with how people talked. Initially the biggest issue was I couldn't understand people, even on TV. I started reading books and watching sitcoms and because I wanted to follow what the characters were saying it kind of forced me to start understanding it. Once I went to high school the process accelerated even faster.
School. One thing I’ve learnt through my experience is that Russian schools teach students grammar, but really when it comes to using the language - here is a huge black hole. All the people who I contacted with on a topic of learning English, universally say that they are “afraid” to speak in a wrong manner, hence why they tend to not to speak at all. My school gladly had a very passionate director so he set up a lot of english classes based on purely speaking, watching, discussing, arguing and debating. That fact really elevates your level of using the language and overall confidence.
According to some I am still not fluent. Fluency is rather subjective measure. Reading helped the vocabulary, watching TV and movies helped comprehension and pronunciation. Google dictionary with vocalization help is great.
I've been always believing that getting myself sunk in a world full of native speaker could get me become fluent in speaking the language as an adult learner until I read your comment. So in your opinion, it isnt necessary like that? Because I've never experienced it, I've got myself outa my own country but am not living in a native English speaking country, so I couldnt tell. I can see how my English improved by engaging constantly in listening, thinking and speaking English, but am nowhere near the fluent point. Im not a language talent as well. So you dont think submerging in a native speaking world could be significant help, isnt it right?
Living in an English speaking country mainly helps with preserving the desire of learning English since you have no other option but to keep striving to learn the language if you want to do well in general. It keeps you committed and determined. It builds a long term consistency which is very important if you want to become fluent. However, it hasn't helped me a lot in practical terms. Especially when you are nowhere near the level of a native speaker, they won't give you the opportunity to practice English with them since they lose interest pretty quickly. If you don't go past that point where you feel confident conversing in English with them, they are really not much of a help.
Sure it can be done. I have seen it numerous times - even amongst those with little formal education. However it requires a level of commitment that many adults just are not prepared for.

grammar doesn't matter when you're a big money makist like i am

ManagementandPR’s Profile PhotoManagement and PR
Spelling, grammar, choice of words is always important. And the only way you would make “big money” is selling your organs on the black market. Do the world and yourself a favour; get offline and get yourself booked in at your closest mental health clinic. No one actually likes you; in-fact we’re all kind of concerned about you dude…

i only have the tesla app on my home screen right in the middle i don't have to look for it among other apps and i find that it's a great conversation starter especially at boutique shops where i pay using my phone also when i tip (bigly)

ManagementandPR’s Profile PhotoManagement and PR
Dude; I say this as nicely as possible. I’m dyslexic and can point out all of your grammar and spelling mistakes for a start. Secondly, you clearly need help with your mental health. Instead of lying online to get people to like you; why don’t you try going to get the help you need at a specialised facility? While you’re there you could take a basic English class and maybe then people won’t view you as a sad, pathetic, unintelligent person so desperate for attention that he’d probably fuck a dog.

Orang yang ngetik bahasa inggris, jelek banget grammarnya. ilfeel jujur bacanya

Nggak apa-apa, yang penting omongannya masih bisa dimengerti. Mereka yang sehari-harinya pakai bahasa inggris aja bisa maklum kok kalau banyak orang luar yang salah grammar maupun pengucapannya karena emang bahasa inggris itu bahasa yang complicated banget. Hehehehe

What is the Dunning-Kruger Effect?

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people wrongly overestimate their knowledge or ability in a specific area. This tends to occur because a lack of self-awareness prevents them from accurately assessing their own skills.
The concept of the Dunning-Kruger effect is based on a 1999 paper by Cornell University psychologists David Dunning and Justin Kruger. The pair tested participants on their logic, grammar, and sense of humor, and found that those who performed in the bottom quartile rated their skills far above average. For example, those in the 12th percentile self-rated their expertise to be, on average, in the 62nd percentile.
The researchers attributed the trend to a problem of metacognition—the ability to analyze one’s own thoughts or performance. “Those with limited knowledge in a domain suffer a dual burden: Not only do they reach mistaken conclusions and make regrettable errors, but their incompetence robs them of the ability to realize it,” they wrote.
What causes the Dunning-Kruger effect?
Confidence is so highly prized that many people would rather pretend to be smart or skilled than risk looking inadequate and losing face. Even smart people can be affected by the Dunning-Kruger effect because having intelligence isn’t the same thing as learning and developing a specific skill. Many individuals mistakenly believe that their experience and skills in one particular area are transferable to another.
Why do people fail to recognize their own incompetence?
Many people would describe themselves as above average in intelligence, humor, and a variety of skills. They can’t accurately judge their own competence, because they lack metacognition, or the ability to step back and examine oneself objectively. In fact, those who are the least skilled are also the most likely to overestimate their abilities.

“They” is grammatically incorrect. You can’t use “they/them” when referring to a person. It’s plural, not singular. Sorry, but I didn’t invent spelling and grammar.

If you use it in the correct context within your sentences, yes, it is. How do you think books, articles, research papers, etc. are published?? Lol.
"They" is used as a singular pronoun.

How do you know Arabic?

I have been to Saudi Arabia many times and learned basics from there. Additionally I've taken a few Arabic grammar classes. I'm not very good in spoken but written Arabic is a bit better. That's it 🙂

Sei più una persona che non tollera gli errori grammaticali oppure riesci a sorvolare?

ValeriaMorettiilaria95’s Profile PhotoVale Life

So well.. best of luck dude!

Behnchod english ki marnay ka dil krta hai. Qasme hr waqt log grammar grammar rotay rehte hen. Why we need to be conscious of whatever we type? huh??

Yes you need to be conscious of what you type and you need to think before what you say, that’s how you’ll be valued. A person who just speaks rubbish and doesn’t know how put words would sound stupid and no one will respect his words. Plus using abusive language isn’t cool.

Im really sorry Tita, i know mali po pero kapag nakakakita talaga ako sa social media na mali ang paggamit ng "NANG" at "NG" nababadtrip talaga ako. Ang basic neto ha. Pwede naman igoogle. Halimbawa pag inuulit ang salita, dapat NANG. Example: Daldal nang daldal.

It's ok to be bothered pero sana huwag masyado because kung pupuna ka ng Tagalog dapat flawless ka rin at hindi nagkamali, pati sa English. The point is to communicate and not to submit a paper. I cringe at grammar and spelling too but I also make mistakes. Andami ring pumuna sa akin dito sa ng at nang pero opposite ng tama ang akala nilang tama. Keber. Hindi naman pinagkakakitaan yang pagpuna ng tao e.

Oh, your 21 wow that's a child in my eyes. Nvm fuck you I'm done talking with some low IQ stay at home mom that is rude as fuck to people smarter then her, så dra åt helvete ciao

I'm not 21 lmfaooooo. I literally said I was born in the 90s. So not only do you not know basic grammar and spelling, but you don't know basic math either? Yikes.

Korang aku nak tanya betul ke ayat ni "Didn't I deserve to be free?". Aku punya English not badlah tapi masuk je bab writing kelaut dalam china selatan. Bantuin dong! 😭

If you are talking about the past situation, then it's correct. There's nothing wrong with the sentence, it's grammatically correct. English is not about grammar only, it's also about context and what situation you are referring to.

How many years backwards do you think the destruction of Nalanda pushed us ?

The destruction of ""Nalanda University""was the biggest loss for the whole world and especially for we Indians...though it was destructed thrice time in the history ""early 5th ,mid 7th and late 12th centuries...
Nalanda University was established during the ""Gupta Empire Era (Maurya's time ) in Magadh (modern bihar ) India ..
It was the first residential University in the whole world and greatest centre of learning among the whole world..
It was supported by the Indians both budhists and non budhists..
The subjects taught us like grammar ,medicine ,logic and mathematics and also the hindu Vedas and it's six philosophies ..
It said it took months to burn the books inside the university wholly ..
Because of a lot and lot of books were there ...
So you can get how huge loss from the history it was and how much back we have gone by this loss ...we pushed back alot in education, in development and in many things ....
