Do you know a popular food or dessert in Boston or how the people that are from there happen to be like in general?

Boston cream? My grandmother has a Boston accent. Her NY license plate says “Kah” because that’s how they pronounce “car” there. 🤣 But I haven’t been in Boston that much. Just Salem. Very kind and unusual people there. Mostly Wiccan.

What is your favorite 'poverty' meal that you would continue eating no matter how wealthy you became in life?

I like this question.
So, when my great grandmother was alive, (she passed when I was 13) she would tell me about the stories of her days during the great depression. Her favorite story was her "Poor Man's Spaghetti". Most people loves spaghetti, but she wouldn't have the financial needs to get what was needed for the "normal" spaghetti. So she improvised. She saved the recipe, and in her honor, we make it once a year. There are different variations of it, but we keep this recipe secret, so it's only within the family. So my favorite "poverty" meal is my great grandmother's "Poor Man's Spaghetti".

Home is where the water doesn't taste weird.

So true! I remember I once went to village with my grandmother in summers to attend the wedding and we had to stay there for two days. I was so thirsty that I ask the aunty for water, and I swear after tasting it I kept myself thirsty for two freakin days🙂 kyu ky kismat itni achi hai mjhy do din wahan nestle ki water bottle bhi naseeb nhi hui 💔 so yeah, it's the little things that make a place feel like home, like being able to drink water without questioning its taste.

What’s something that you’ve recently become interested in/developed a passion for? Can be anything! (For example, I’ve become very interested in learning mythology lately, even bought some books about it). 🤔🤩

Recently is a far stretch but I have taken up Chinese Classes about two years ago and my Interest in culture and language has not died down yet. I do have this silly little childhood dream of being able to speak the Top 5 most spoken World Languages fluently, before I turn 30. My next birthday is next Month btw, so then I will have 4 years to get chinese and Hindi down. Doing alright in chinese actually, just my handwriting is a nightmare according to my teacher, but that is the case in every language so whatever.
And when I ace one day (Maybe, Hindi is hard is what I heard)...as there are around 7000 languages right now, i have a variety to pick from what I want to learn next.
ÄMy maternal Grandmother used to be able to communicate in 10 languages 100% fluently. Then she got severe Dementia and now does not remember her own Name, so thats sad.
Maybe my little dream is a way in trying to honor her memory and the Person to whom I have looked up so much when I was little.
And now I am sad. Great.

If you have shared your name or are willing to, how did your parents choose it? (I completely understand if you’d rather skip this question) 🙋💡

My birthmother didn't name me, my grandmother did. I don't mind my name, it's not a common one but also not rare. I was named after English pop singer (she's over 50) 🤪 I don't know any songs of hers. Or anything besides my grandmother telling me... you know what, I'll keep it to myself 🤣

Do you have any home videos from your childhood? If so, have you ever watched them back? Any memorable moments you can recall? 🎥📼

anonamouse89887’s Profile Photoanonamouse
Ooooh yeeeeah.... 😳😂 Some are QUITE THEATRICAL, lol.
I haven't watched any recently, but one of my favorites is one where I do a whole skit acting like a old grandma (grey hair, all hunched back with an old lady cane, lots of makeup and wrinkles, slightly gassy - had an electronic "fart machine" that would go off when I was walking, lol) for a birthday video that I made for my great grandmother when I was around 10, lol. At the end of the video I was talking to her about my new glasses, and telling her what they were (like she wouldn't even know already, lolol 😂)... Was humorous, to say the least!
Then, there was this other one, I was about 6 years old, and my grandparents and I would visit their house while it was being built! (My grandpa wanted to inspect the process - make sure it was all being done correctly)... In that video, it was evident that my grandpa was my best friend. I would always tug on his hand/shirt and ask him questions - random life questions, lol. And randomly in the video I would start singing old Christian hymns I learned from church!

Honey life's too short to be crying or being sad. Just enjoy life, go out, have fun, party. You're young. Enjoy your youth. This is the best time of your life

I lost my grandfather (my father figure) 3 months ago, I just lost his brother Saturday, my grandmother has stage 4 cancer and is slowly getting too weak for treatment, I'm trying to find a new house by the 14th of February, I'm dealing with the medicaid office messing with my my insurance which is messing with my disability income and now someone at the SSI office messed up my income information and I'm dealing with having to get a second opinion on my knee injury because it's gotten worse. What exactly in that do I have to smile about?

why is that something that should be taught. people have been menstruating and ovulating forever and no one needed a class on that.

because otherwise you end up not knowing what your own body is doing and that's ignorant as hell.
my grandmother thought she was dying when she got her period. She was too embarrassed to tell anyone and she went home and prepared to die. Is that what you think the common experience for little girls should be?

اكتر حد هيترجم دي صح لإما يخد 50 كوينز أو يسأل سؤال في الإنجلش وهجاوب عليه My grandmother was in a car accident. She was brought to the hospital in an ambulance. The nurse called my father. I could sense something was wrong. My father looked shocked.

علي ما أعتقد انك بتقولي أن جدتك عملت حادثه ونقلت بسياره الإسعاف والممرضه كلمت باباكي وهو كان مصدوم وانتي حسيتي أن في حاجه مقلقه

Is Facebook predominantly used by boomers now? My grandma's profile is booming. Her pfp has like 200 likes and, like, 100 comments mostly from her boomer friends. Boomers are wildin' there. I'm curious if any of you zoomers/millennials still use it actively.

🤣🤣🤣 I barely use it. My Instagram auto posts over there which I also barely use. My grandmother and mother get worried about me and text me to make sure I’m alive I guess when I haven’t posted in a bit. 🤣

Co ci się ostatnio śniło?

PL: Śniło mi się, że wygarnęłam babci wszystko, co leży mi na sercu, i babcia przyszła przeprosić.
Niesamowicie nierealistyczny sen, możnaby rzec. 😅
ENG: I had a dream that I took everything out that was in my heart on my grandmother, and my grandmother came to apologize.
An incredibly unrealistic dream, I might say. 😅

1) > my mother and grandmother attended the funeral on zoom and wouldn’t have been able to attend at all otherwise - My point entirely. The botnet can be helpful but it isn't a substitute. None of the virtual concerts I've "attended" throughout the coof hysteria compared to real ones. Fun but fake.

talionislexx’s Profile PhotoLex Talionis
Yes, good point. Covid stream concerts certainly made things more interesting during that time but not a substitute for the real thing.

I'm that person that lives inside their phone. I'm your chronically online friend that hasn't touched grass since 5 springs ago

I’m not even home right now but I’m on my phone. My guest is asleep on the couch next to me, my mother and her husband are cleaning up and my grandmother is on her phone. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Who has been an early positive influence in your life? How do you cherish their existence? 💭

I cherish their existence by keeping their memories alive in my stories. I share the lessons they've taught me and most importantly.... I've applied them in my own life.

Did you have a good thanksgiving?

Luushy93356’s Profile Photo℄ucy52
Honestly holidays in my family are kinda lame. It was nice and all and so much effort went into it for a nice birthday dinner for me but I was more or less alone as usual. (Which is fine since I enjoy that.) Mother and her husband are messing with food the whole time, my grandmother and my guest fell asleep. My friend Jonathan texted me happy birthday. I probably spoke to him more than anyone which was nice because we haven’t had a real conversation in years.

Sometimes I long for the girl I used to be... Do you?

As a child,I was dirty and didn’t know how to dress properly.I always wore jeans and a shirt to school, because they required a school uniform. They also forced us to wear a white top and black bottom to school.
To be honest,I hated school because of the heavy backpack that caused me to now have scoliosis. This scoliosis is pressing on my heart nerve.
And if earlier girls preferred to wear makeup to look older, then my mother and grandmother told me that I need to love myself for who I am.. And don’t watch other girls put on makeup. That's why I didn't wear makeup until I was 18.And I didn't like makeup.

What good happened to you in Ukraine?since you moved from Crimea to another city?

If you think that something has changed, then absolutely nothing. Especially when I came from Crimea to Chernivtsi,God forbid.I was a monkey in the class, and a chimpanzee, and my grandmother is an alcoholic, and I am mentally retarded and useless. So she also came from Crimea,a Tatar,we are all Moldovans here.Uh,she doesn’t know Moldavian. How the“sick in the head” yells that I’m a prostitute, although I just went out in a dress. So until I got hit in the face,I didn’t calm down!❤️‍💯

Do you like Andrey, your first love?

To be honest, I fell in love with him before, I thought I would find a common language with him. But it turned out that my grandmother is also a Scorpio. And I haven’t been able to find a common language with her since childhood.Because it would be better if she fed her something tasty than telling her moronic stories from the USSR.Now in her old age, with her insanity, she supports him and wants him to return. He’s always arguing with us about this, calling and picking on our brains from Ukraine.
But she doesn’t know that it’s much better to study in Europe, because at school you study not in strictness, but in complete freedom. And you are not forced to wear a Soviet-style school uniform. Makeup is especially not allowed. And once, even in Crimea, a teacher cut off my hair because she thought I had dyed my hair blond, when that was my natural hair color. She just knew that all Muslim women had brown hair, and she thought that I was dyeing my hair blond. In general, a fool!
And by the way, she was also a Scorpio according to the zodiac!

Do you like the LGBTQ community & Do you know any

My parents are very decent people, and my grandmother, especially they taught me that a girl should love a boy, and a boy should love a girl. That's why I'm heterosexual and only have sex with boys. But I believe that every girl and guy has the right to choose who they want to be. It’s like with studies or clothes, if a child wants it and he likes it, then naturally he will fool about it and cry.
But look what I want to tell you. This is actually the case in Europe, that there is freedom of choice. In the CIS countries, God forbid they see someone from the LGBT community, they gather in a group and beat those who sit and beat their gums.

Have you met a celebrity?

I once lived in Chernivtsi for a very long time,it so happened that I moved from Crimea, and my grandmother on my father’s side lived there. And accordingly, my step-sister and I lived with her for some time until I was 18.And it so happened that approximately 30 - 35 km from my city the state of Romania is located. And when we were driving home in Portugal, near the Ministry of Justice,I saw Klaus Iohannis, this is the President of Romania.

Do you like reading?

I had a lot of books in Russian, but I took most of them to my grandmother in the village for her to read, and gave the minority as gifts. Therefore, these are all my purchased books. And I won’t show you the books I have at home from the university, because I didn’t even take them from the library. I took only a couple of notebooks from physics, chemistry, mathematics where you can solve examples, and, of course, ready-made homework assignments,so that if I don’t know the subject, like the Portuguese language, for example, I could copy it from there. And so, mostly history, I don’t read in pairs, but read from the Internet, and then retell it in Portuguese.Because I haven’t learned to read Portuguese yet, just speak.
And I didn’t show you all the books. I basically only have notebooks in Portuguese for various subjects. And all the rules that I need, I find in Ukrainian-language books that I order in Ukraine to be sent to me at Nova Poshta.

Did you have a high school sweet heart? Are you still with that person ?

I never dated in school. My first serious relationship was at age 17. We were together a year and a half and are still friends over two decades later. I always thought it was strange that my grandmother kept in contact with her first love for like her entire life but it’s common I guess to stay distant friends. Or not. Maybe we’re just weird.

Which field would your parents say you’re the best at? (Such as writing, speaking, drawing, etc.)

Froyh’s Profile PhotoMerve
Writing and photography. My mother and grandmother are always saying how good my photography is. My mother recently told me I should respond to ads online for people looking for photographers but that’s really not my style for photography. I wouldn’t enjoy posed things unless it was really creative. I photographed her wedding about a decade ago. That’s the only posed thing I’ve ever done but I only enjoyed the candids I took.

What was your greatest loss this year?

Not particularly in 2023, but at the end of 2022, my grandmother passed away. I miss her delicacy, her soft-spokenness, our mature talks, her dishes, her simple and graceful dressing, giving me Eidi not in front of anyone like others, and her advices to me. What a woman she was. I miss her today and every following day.

I don’t wanna sound judgemental or rude but why are some people still using their snapchat bitmoji? That is so mid 2010s. We’re almost in the mid 20s, the dog filters era ended years ago… get an AI pic or something that matches the year we live in.

I don't see why it matters. 🤣 People should use what they want. I don't think too many people have caught onto Al yet like I have. They do the popular ones like Lensa and that new high school year book one that's going around now. I haven't done that one. It's super fun with the Al I'm using. I know all my Ask people know it's Al but I've been posting some on IG and FB without saying anything and people really think they're real. 🤣 One of the ones with the man that may or may not look like a certain Ask friend I had on FB and my grandmother texted me that her and my mom were concerned I was with a new man. 🤣🤣🤣And they know already that I use Al. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I mean Cher had her young and hot days too. I suppose there might be a fear on ai kandy's part about ending up looking like her when she old and homely.

There’s nothing wrong with Cher. I don’t really know what she looks like now or even if she’s still alive but I love older ladies that never give up their style. That will be me for sure. I’m never going to be a grey haired grandma looking chick. My mom and grandmother won’t either.

How good were you in sports when you were a kid? I was pretty terrible. Gym class was to me a human torture session held 3 times a week

Hated it. Got picked on. Last two middle school years I got a doctors note for the entire year to get out of it. I should have never stopped going to that doctor. He was excellent and give you whatever you want because he liked my mom and grandmother. 🤣 I used to go to the library during gym period. Well, I was supposed to. Sometimes I hid in the bathroom because I felt awkward just being in the library without the librarian knowing. I’d sit in a corner so she wouldn’t see me and think I was skipping. I was so weird. 🤣
