a few days ago, after observing a lot of books i liked the one by stephen hawking bec i do not read whatever i find. I've a very unique taste in literature & i cannot read it if it is not of my choice. But the book by stephen hawking was looking v interesting & i really wanted to give it a go. But the librarian wasn't present. So, i picked it up and hid it behind the books so nobody can SEE MY BOOK. Next day i went again but faced the same situation because no librarian. Today i postponed the editing of my official document & visited again before the time & still the same story. But i was very excited for the book so i went again after some hours. And, thank God librarian was sitting there. I literally ran towards the rack but guess what happened? Book was not there and guess who really felt a heartache. But still i touched each & every book in 2 big racks. Much dust on fingers, heartache, but w the hope in eyes i searched for it. Guess what? i couldn't find the book. And, it broke my heart and made me sad for the rest of the day. I was v excited & searched for it with my whole hopeful heart but,,,,

I falter and fall just to break down into different pieces, each piece has a mind of it's own. A part of me wants to give up, a part wants to stay hopeful, a part wants me to smile for the ones who love me, a part cries for the those who left me, a part of me wants to be alive and a part of me does not wish to exist in any plane of existence or in any form, a part of me wants to be remembered and a part of me wants to be forgotten. Every breath I take contradicts a part of me. I am nothing but a paradox, and I don't know how long I can hold on.

What Makes You Unique?

AisyahIsHere2’s Profile PhotoAisyahpotated
I would say that what makes me unique is my DNA and my perception of the world that I live in.
- I believe that God created the universe and everything in it (intelligent design).
- I believe that ALL life is valuable and has a purpose.
- I believe that every problem has a solution and the fact that humans might not understand what that solution is, does not negate the fact that there is a solution.
- Because of my faith in a higher power, I am also a humble person who values every life and all opinions, even those that I disagree with. I am both grateful and hopeful that war, violence, disease and poverty will one day end and that humanity will follow the teachings of Jesus Christ by loving their neighbors and treating everyone they meet with dignity, respect and kindness. And my fervent prayer is that all future generations will practice unconditional love and pay it forward so that one day humankind will live in peace.

kookprxncess’s Profile Photo☼ — sarah cameron

⠀▌⠀⠀›⠀⠀.⠀⠀rafe⠀&⠀sarah⠀cameron⠀(⠀kookprxncess⠀)⠀:⠀chapter two.

too much had been happening at once, that being the reason behind the sudden uncertainty churning inside him. rafe found himself trying to decipher his own thoughts, because he was sure he could do it. he had done it once before, though the bullet was not meant for sarah. she was never supposed to become the enemy, their family was never supposed to crumble like the thinnest wall out there. however, ever since john b had stepped into the picture, everything turned upside down. of course, it didn’t matter what rafe said — or felt, for that matter. not back then, not now.
a couple of obstinate tears rose in blue hues, knot tightening in his throat. the following moments weighed on him, as static-like memories had taken up too much room in his head at this point — childhood memories that barely resembled what they used to be. their lifespan, briefly after, was cut short when his father’s rigid voice filled the tense air. ❛ dad… i tried. but listen, we got the cross okay? we got everything we need. she left us, alright? she left us, but i’m still here. i’m gonna make you proud, dad. ❜ fear and anticipation seeped through the tottering utterance, a shell of a smile twitching upon his mouth, as if it would provide the promise with a solid ground. the eldest cameron’s disappointment was difficult to miss, therefore not many comforting words had been expected in return, but neither was the rough shove that left him with no time to react seconds later.
the next thing he knew, he was swimming up to the surface and catching his breath — alone. i choose you, son. those three words ran in a continuous loop in his mind, yanking his every nerve. until he heard her. truth be told, rafe was at a loss when he saw his little sister jump out of the lifeboat and come back for him. especially after everything that had gone down. suffocating silence loomed over the siblings, up until he finally gathered courage to speak up. ❛ i thought you were leaving. ❜ a hopeful glint acquainted itself with his eyes by now as they reluctantly met with hers, although a bit hard to note underneath the heavy fog of dubiety passing through. part of him was still stuck on what had taken place only minutes ago, unable to process it. ❛ sarah... uh,❜ he hesitantly began, lower lip trembling under the weight of the upcoming confession. ❛ i’m sorry. ❜ too little, too late. but it had to be said nevertheless, right?

Does hardship make a person stronger? If so, under what conditions and at what point is it too much hardship? If not, what makes a person stronger?

I believe it’s all in how the person approaches hardships. I have met people who have went through situations that I couldn’t even fathom going through yet they remain positive, hopeful, and filled with love. They speak life, love, and true wisdom to everyone they meet. Strength, true strength, is being soft, kind, and staying positive all the while life has handed you many heavy blows. People like that are an inspiration to so many.

You are what you behold ; your optimistic and hopeful perception urged you to believe but I can say that before you embark on a journey and after you set upon it , you are prolly never the same . That me , 9 months ago don't have any sense of direction and just only knew I've to do what I've to

There goes the saying, I read it somewhere and somehow agree to it; if you already know the directions, you are on someone’s else.
Thing is that either way you ain’t the same, embark or don’t. Each journey is one of many decisions we take throughout the life which makes us realise that life is a journey itself. Even the tinniest of decisions carry the huge weight, like an artist throwing brushstrokes on portrait with eyes closed and hands cuffed. :))

Why do people feel hopeful about the future? We're all going to die someday.

KeepYourEyesPeeled’s Profile PhotoLucas
Because we all want to have a successful and happy life. We all want to be able to look back, reflect, and feel good with what we've been able to achieve before we pass away. Having a pessimistic outlook will just make us stay stagnant. We aren't going to grow with that mindset. Which means we won't be able to achieve the goals we wanted to achieve.
Being hopeful of things getting better is just part of human nature. Deep down inside all of us want to be successful. In order to get there, we just keep the faith alive and knowing that things aren't going to be like this forever.

Bonsoir 🙃 Êtes-vous inspiré par des personnes célèbres ? Si oui, qui et pourquoi ?

margaux_lelong’s Profile PhotoMargaux Lelong
Obama has inspired me to do grassroots level stuff like volunteering. Big inspiration was the video of him tearing up after the 2012 election when he was thanking his campaign. Regardless of your opinion, that dude cares. Dita von Teese. She maintains such poise and seems to have such a clear sense of what means to her to be a real lady. "What Would Dita Do" is kind of a mantra I've held for a while now when I'm in a situation where I want to be less than ladylike. Sure, no one's perfect, but she is so intelligent and dedicated to her passions in a way that I wish I were. Monty Oum. A wonderful animator that worked with Rooster Teeth before he passed away in 2015. Seen some interviews with him and not only did he do good animation work but had a nice personality. I've been trying to get out of a rut in my life and I looked at things that inspired me back in highschool. Manga, Anime, Video Games, Animations, Books, etc. made me realize how much I loved arts and animation and started doing it again. Monty Oum being one of my main influences that stood out to me back then. George Harrison. He seems to have gotten exactly what he wanted out of life, that being spiritual fulfillment. He was the quiet Beatle, but by all accounts I've read, he was never afraid to stand up for what he believed. Also, his music is incredible and as a hopeful composer, I pray that I'll write music as good as his. My mom, 82, beat three different kinds of cancer, lives life on her terms. Rockin a giant garden, still lives in my childhood home, and cancer free for 7 years. Had a double mastectomy ...told the dr that she did not want chemo again...take them off, she said " they fed thee kids and kept a man around for over 50 years, I don't need em anymore"...she's my hero! Dr. Jane Goodall. She was the first female scientist I remember hearing of and I used to go into the woods and write down my “observations” just like I imagined she did. Her passion and love for the work she does inspires me to find a similar passion and to make a positive impact any way I can! Not my biggest inspiration, and probably a little prideful, but myself. I'm still around, I'm doing okay, I haven't done anything really terrible in my life, I'm trying to better myself and... I honestly never thought I'd make it this far, so I'm proud of that. My dad. Grew up poor as dirt. Earned a scholarship to college and got, and graduated with a Masters in Tax. Pass all parts of the CPA Exam at once. Now, he's a CFO of a multimillion dollar company, but is still the same hard working Joe he was before. He also gives 10%-15% of his yearly salary to charity. Most importantly though, he fought tooth and nail, racking up over $250,000 dollars in legal fees to get my brother (he's biologically my half brother, but I'll always consider him my full brother) away from his biological mom and abusive step-dad.

I'm visiting your home. When you step out of the room I scan your bookshelf. Based on the subject matter displayed there, what could I learn about you?

simplygrace46’s Profile PhotoGrace
The dusty cook books would tell you that I have the desire to expand my home menu, but lack the motivation to actually do it 🙃 The dusty true crime books would tell you that at one time I was interested in learning what could make something go so wrong in a person's mind that made them commit the atrocities they did. The dusty classics would make you wonder if they're there because it's believed they're ones everyone should have, or if I've actually read them. The worn fantasy/horror section would tell you I enjoy escaping reality for a while. And the children's section would tell you sometimes I need an easy read that has a hopeful ending.

why does love drive/inspire/motivate people? 💞✨

nurbzee’s Profile Photonurulhuda
For a few reasons. First, it feels good. Oxytocin, dopamine and serotonin are hormones/neurotransmitters that produce happier moods. These are increased in your brain when you're attracted to someone. When we're happier, we're more optimistic, hopeful and energetic. Second, when we're in love with someone, we want to do whatever it takes to please them. With new love, especially, we try to create and present our best selves.

What do you like more: Summer jams or Christmas songs? 🎶/ Wat vind je leuker: Zomerhits of Kerstliedjes? 🎶

LunarHuntress’s Profile PhotoYentl
I feel like if a Christmas song ever mistakenly comes on outside the Christmas season, people show immense disdain. Even if it's only December 26th. While I understand that a ton of Christmas music is annoying, are there any Christmas songs you wish weren't associated with the holiday so you could listen to them throughout the year? The three that jump out at me are The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Judy Garland, and Happy Xmas (War is Over) by John Lennon. I'm fond of the melodies and imagery in the first two. I think Lennon's song has great atmosphere.
I'm not even religious, but when I hear these songs with a proper choir behind them, holy shit, you can just feel how people used to actually care about this holiday once upon a time. It lends it a sense of gravitas and makes this time of year feel like so much more than hokey novelty songs and plastic bullshit.
I've never actually stopped to read the lyrics, and it would seem they are both very dark and hopeful at the same time. It is a story of a starving sparrow getting fed by a small girl in a cold Christmas morning, but apparently the sparrow is actually the girl's dead brother (if I'm reading this right), who has come from heaven to greet her. Not sure if grim, sad, or optimistic.
For me, there is absolutely no album that is more summery than Operation Ivy - Energy. Maybe it's because I am from Florida and lived like 15 mins from the beach my entire childhood, but that album is the essence of driving to the beach with the windows down on a hot summer day. The albums that have always felt the most wintery to me are Sigur Ros - ( ) and Agaetis Byrjun. The bass line in Olsen Olsen particularly feels like snow falling. When I went to Iceland in December a few years back, I was taking the shuttle from the airport to downtown Reykjavik and as we were driving, Olsen Olsen came on shuffle. So one of my first moments in Iceland, driving through the snow on this shuttle bus, was listening to that song.
So far I've liked everything they've done. Their latest album is a bit weaker than the rest but still good. I think it's just lacking in memorable hooks and melodies. Tyler's vocals are great and Tim's synths are catchy as hell. I like the trance influence you can hear it a lot in how Tim produces the songs. Trance is another genre a love so it's a great combination. If they ever come nearby I'm definitely going to see them.
Brand New’s The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me has always been a fall record for me, both sonically and because I got into it in the fall of my junior year of high school. There’s something about the moments of empty cold interspersed with precipitating emotion and pain that play off the instrumentals and just sound like fall to me. Death Cab’s Plans is another fall record, though I got into this one my freshman year of college on long, lonely walks in the autumn twilight.

I can't turn my life around. I keep running into walls that I can't break down. I just go through the motions of life feeling like I'm not really even awake. What do I do?

KeepYourEyesPeeled’s Profile PhotoLucas
As generic as this may sound, keep pushing through and keep going. Keep doing reflections on yourself and keep thinking about what you're doing wrong. It may feel like we're stuck and then we can't advance, but the reality is we're just not looking at the situation the way we should be looking at it. Maybe we're missing vital Information that we need. Maybe we're ignoring something that we need. We need to be brutally honest ourselves or else we're going to do the same thing over again.
The one thing you should never do is give up because that means you will never know what happens at the end. It also means you will be left with a lot of regrets. A lot of what ifs. These are things that people go through every single day. Don't be like them. Be something that they are not, and that's a person who has no regrets and no what ifs in life. Or at least minimal amounts of it. Part of life is experiencing things and trying things out. Even if it scares the hell out of you. If you don't try it, you'll never know. Even if you have to try it 500,000 times. The 500,001th time might be a success.
Speaking from personal experience I've had many times where it feels like I'm running through a brick wall. No matter how much I try, I can't push through the brick wall. It is there to stay. It sucks because you've made so much progress and it seems like you haven't gotten anywhere. It really does suck.
However, that's the unintended beauty of life. You have to be prepared for the unexpected because you never know when it's going to appear. You also need to be prepared to deal with it appropriately. If you don't you run the risk of giving up. However, if you continue to proceed, you will experience the benefits of all the pain that you had to go through. It'll feel so good when you can get the end and achieve everything you wanted to achieve.
You can reflect on things in a more positive light, and you can feel good about how you overcame adversity and overcame self-doubt and insecurity. It's not just about achieving something, but it's about feeling good that you have a positive story to tell people and hopes that it can Inspire them. That's what we all should be doing with our lives. We should all be inspiring each other. Instead of bringing each other down, bring each other up. This world is so F’ed up that it actually saddens me. However, I remain hopeful that this will change.

Would you be tempted to knock someone out if they kept knocking on your room in the living quarters because you stupidly had sex with them once when drunk and now the stupid foreign white wouldn’t leave you alone and you can’t even watch a film without her catting at your door?

I certainly hope not.
I hope that I would hope to have gone to Confession for this sin and have found a way to apologize for the ill I had done her and helped her too to see the sin in what we did and to have started to build a good friendship with her based on us mutually drawing closer to God and helping each other to do that.
Some of this is rather hopeful.

Well, it all depends on what I think of my previous manager! If I liked them I'd obviously be worried that the one who's replacing them would be worse. If I did not like the previous manager's leadership I'd be hopeful that someone better's gonna take the helm 😁

yep, anxiety & depression, made to keep us away from knowing the truth, but what if you put everything aside like Fk society & then went through all the thinking about your existence keeping the religious debate aside, what would be your answer to that Question?

well tbh the fine purpose i always think about is to better myself . and we cant put aside the society, coz we are part of it. Bettering ourselves is bettering society! In your previous talk you once said that changing is what we need. and i agree to it at some point. we need to change, we need to accept the change, change can be increasing of knowledge , change can be adapting to new things, change can be being hopeful etc. So i feel excited in knowing and discovering the mysteries of this universe, to know different things, to utilize that knowledge in helping me and maybe others. It gives me a push to survive everyday...!

Terror in Resonance or Zankyou No Terror also known as Terror in Tokyo, is a Japanese anime That was created and directed by Shinichirō Watanabe.Terror in Resonance is not a show about terrorism. Before you roll your eyes and point your finger at the obvious “Terror” emblazoned in the title,

bellmine’s Profile Photoìů ケンガンアシュラ
I am serious on this one. While the topic is addressed at times, the crime thriller genre is merely a tool the show wields to sculpt out its socio-political commentary on Japan. If you are expecting a deep-seated exploration of the subject of terrorism, this show will not satisfy you. So please chuck those expectations into the trash and enjoy the show for what it is. Zankyou No Terror tells an engaging tale of generational conflicts, post-war nationalism, isolation from modern society and the hopeful rebellious spirit of youths.
The story kicks off in a grounded, realistic setting of present day Tokyo. 2 teenage terrorists, who go by the names of Nine and Twelve blow up the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building, and in the process accidentally involves a girl called Lisa Mishima. Flashbacks reveal Nine and Twelve to have escaped from a mysterious institution when they were children, hence cloaking their motivations in mystery. From then on, the show continues its crime procedural routine that lasts for a few episodes: Nine and Twelve would plant a bomb, release a video on Youtube under the name ‘Sphinx’ and challenge the police to solve a given riddle before the next bomb explodes. All the riddles are based on the Greek tragedy Oedipus Rex, and interesting choice that gives the audience parallels to think about- especially the idea of patricide and sacrifice in the pursuit of truth. We also get introduced to Shibazaki, a detective who gets caught up in the cat and mouse game against Sphinx. He is a character whoe has been casted out from society just like Sphinx and Lisa. These first few episodes are thematically condensed and provide solid insights into modern society.
