The first biggest personal event I organised ~ tickets only , I trusted many to bring others ~ around 200 turned up , around half I'd never seen before , but they knew me , mainly because I was co-resident in the establishment we were using . . .
Everyone was so wonderful (it was my 'going away party' , 1979 ~ made me wish I wasn't leaving !!!)

I’d want a potion that would temporarily take away all of my dietary restrictions so I could eat whatever I wanted on certain occasions (holidays, my birthday, other people’s birthdays, parties, while traveling, etc). And I know, it probably sounds like I’d be enticed to make this potion every day so I never had restrictions, but I think the joy of having that potion is that it would be a treat! 😋

Like, maybe it’s not so easy to brew or it takes a long time, so I only use it when I really feel like it’d be most rewarding. 😄 Like, if I knew I wouldn’t have to worry about going abroad and having to consider what foods I can/cannot eat, I’d just bring that potion so I could eat all of the local cuisine without a problem. Or if I’m going to a party, I don’t have to be nervous that whoever is hosting it won’t have anything I can safely eat while there! I can just enjoy the party as intended. That’d be absolutely wonderful! 😁

One I often used to use is “People Bingo”.
You can make your own version appropriate to the type of group and people in it you are working with.
Basically print off some bingo type cards or sheets featuring 12 - 16 boxes with statements in them like:
🥕 Find a vegetarian and get them to initial (or sign) here.
🎧 Find someone who likes techno music and get them to initial here.
🐇 Find someone with a pet rabbit and get them to initial here.
🤸🏽‍♀️ Find someone who regularly practices a sport. Find out which sport and get them to initial here.
(And so on)
The first person to get all their boxes initialled/signed shouts “Bingo” - or you can continue until everyone completes, if you wish.
If the group know each other well and are comfortable, you can throw in tasks like “sit on someone’s knee and get them to initial here”; if they don’t know each other you could go more for “Find someone whose name contains a Y and get them to initial here” and so on.

Oh I've been out of school for years. But did love summer vacation as all kids do. And totally understand people getting the blues in winter...just my wires got crossed and now I get 'em in summer. But a stroll through a cemetery on a cold gray day...gives me the cozies just thinking about. Plus I love long sleeves and sport coats. Stuff I can't really wear in summer. At least here in the southeast. 😄 Motorcycles have found their purpose once again. There's a very big forest near my house where people have made some interesting tracks for enduro bikes.
It's so boring to the point that I just want to go back to school. More productive than usual. Got a remote job paying $15/hr, working on drawing, and going to college soon!
Productive, lonely, and lazy all at the same time.
I went to go see Paramore and Foster the People last Friday and Zac said it was his favourite show in the entire tour. Also, my guy friends were testing the noise levels of the concert goers. I’m currently in the middle of a D&D campaign that a good friend of mine is DMing and my character (And my party )has almost died a few times. Another close friend is also hosting a D&D campaign called the Curse of Strahd, which is the perfect opportunity to add more depth to my character’a lore. And I've spent the majority of my graduation money on VHS tapes.
But next week is my birthday and in just three weeks I'll be leaving on a trip to Austria with all my friends for a whole week! We've been there last year already and it wad SO beautiful there, I'm looking forward to it.
Pretty awesome! I've been keeping super busy. Started the summer by seeing Janelle Monae last month (SO AMAZING). Went to Disneyland a couple of days later (for free!) to celebrate me and my partner's anniversary. My son's 6th birthday party was this past Saturday--he had a total blast. Went to Pride on Sunday and saw TLC. This Saturday is Comic Con (for free!) and then seeing Crazy Ex-Girlfriend live that night. Finally winding down next month, only thing on my calendar is going to Disney's California Adventure (for free!).
It’s been kinda shitty. Sure, I got my first job, but the work has taken a toll on my back and legs, and they don’t have any resemblance of a steady schedule, and the pay is extra shitty because it’s minimum wage, except there’s also union dues, which cost me almost a quarter of what I make. And I havnt been able to get anything I wanted to do this summer done because any day I do have off I’m too tired and sore to do anything but play games. And my one and only big goal, the main reason I wanted a job in the first place, is looking less and less possible, not because of the money, but because my Mum. And also I got a concussion a few weeks ago which is still making me very dizzy some days. overall it’s just been shit.

Juice WRLD. Not a day goes by where I think about what would have happened if he had just been arrested for the pills instead of popping them all at once. Kid had too much talent for his own good, the way he would pull melodies and freestyles out of thin air was impeccable, and for that to be all gone days after turning 21 is too painful. Me too. His films and photography were incredible — there was so much spark in everything he created. Every celeb has a public persona, of course, but it seems like his heart really was as big and joy as infectious as his colleagues and friends have professed it to be.
I wish Marilyn Monroe had a chance to heal and find peace in life before her passing. Her life was harder than many people know — she was depressed, had anxiety, and had at least one invisible physical condition, for example — and it’s a bummer that she was known as a “dumb blonde” despite her intellect, activism, and skill in dramatic acting as well as comedic/“leading lady” roles. Deserved better all ‘round.
The two that fucked me up the most were Robin Williams and Kobe Bryant. Both of those days I’ll never forget and was in complete shock. The others I miss the most are, Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty. Watching Golden Girls with my mom and grandma growing up I true came to love them all (including Betty White.)
It just happened but Mac Miller hit hard. Especially listening to some of his songs where you can tell he knew it was coming for him and that his days were counted.
I mean, I think he knew his days were numbered. He must have sensed that his time was running short. He was living on borrowed time, and everyone in my family knew it.
It was then that I knew that he wouldn't last much longer. He had a very short time to live.
Being a Star Trek nerd, I was always fond of the way he played Checkov. He nailed Walter’s dialect and he added a childlike enthusiasm to the role. The third JJ-verse film I believe was dedicated to him.
Alex Trebek. As lovely as Ken Jennings is hosting Jeopardy, Alex had such a natural presence that I don't think anyone can replace or outdo.

"What is the highest pressure situation you have experienced,"
I think the most recent high pressure situation that I handled was sometime late last year, when I was on the precipice of an anxiety attack, but had to perform and uphold my duties and responsibilities as a teacher that was hosting an art party.

I'm doing good thank you! 😄 I'm currently making preparations for a fun event I'll be hosting together with my classmates for the new students tomorroe They're gonna go around to a few of our rooms (Including my own) and guess who lives there 🏡 I'm curious to see if my room is as good of a reflection of myself that I think it is lol Have made some pamphlets, am currently working on a music quiz and am gonna clean my room extensivel before they arrive. After we're done we're gonna have some outdoor activities 🥏

Once that event is over I'm gonna head back home for a game night with the ones I live with in the dorm. I'm gonna work Friday. I'm gonna go on a "HOF-Hike" on Saturday with my student organization where you drink a 33cl alcoholic drink of your choice for every km you walk (We're gonna go for 10). I've done it thrice before and it's a lot of fun 😌 Also gonna have a Dungeons and Dragons session with a few of my friends on Sunday. So all in all, I have a quite busy weekend ahead Haha

I have done everything. At friends, girlfriends, even the back of my van. I remember that night where I drank too much and needed my bed while the girl I was supposed to sleep at didn’t have enough. Last thing I remember was leaving the bar alone and when I woke up in the morning I was in my van with both back doors opened and my bicycle was on the curb. Rough hangover but in the end I made myself a room in it and went sleeping in different area of my town, had breakfast in new restos everyday. Since I needed a shower everyday I subscribed to a gym and begin to workout. Spent my summer like that and now I have 15 listings.
It all started when I got an overpriced apartment after making a lot of money thanks to facebook ads. My ads account eventually got shut down for running dating ads and I couldn’t afford my apartment anymore. I started by renting it on weekends to pay it and eventually renting it full time to gather money for a new business. I never thought airbnb would be it but after a while a good opportunity for a second listing came, then 3, then 6 now I got 15 and 8 get home owners approaching me to operate for them.
There's an Airbnb in SF that I rent out whenever I come to town. The owner is super nice, so accommodating, and it's for all intents and purposes her main living space. Not only that, if we have a car, we can park in her garage, in downtown San Francisco for $8 a night (no mark up to the price her building charges residents!!). After getting to know her we found out she has a boyfriend who also lives in SF and when she has guests she stays at his house. Works great for us, and we have a beautiful apartment to stay in downtown.
But mostly my other listings - I have multiple listings so I just move around between the houses when they are open, so technically there are personal belongings in all of them. I use the above options as reasons to rent them all out on weekends.
I have only been doing this short time but I now only allow check ins on friday for the whole unit to push for weekend bookings. I have a separate listing for my guest bedroom for Sunday-Thursday check ins. I live close enough to work that I walk and don't mind having a room mate those days. I am fully booked May and June so my tactic has been working.
I have a friend who rents his apartment in LA on AirBnB. He's a semi-pro musician. Tours a lot. Rents his place out while he's on tour. Moving to LA from NYC didn't work out as well as he'd hoped, so now he's effectively bicoastal, still hanging onto that LA apartment just in case something happens that will keep him in LA. His gigging schedule is too unpredictable for him to get a full-time subletter for his place in LA while he's away. Hosting smaller increments via AirBnB is more amenable to his lifestyle. I have a neighbor who holds a lease on three places -- a 3BR apartment, a studio apartment, and an art studio (the latter of which is not meant to be lived in).
