What country are you from and what countries have you visited

I was born/live in England and I've not travelled much out of it in honesty. I've been to Wales a bunch and Scotland a couple times. I've been to a lot of places in Spain and Canary Islands. I have been to France a couple of times too. Iceland, Italy and Ireland are three places I'd love to visit! I'd like to see parts of Germany for the history and cause I have germanic blood too

have you ever broken a bone?

Shockingly not! I'm pretty much the clumsiest person on earth so I'm not sure how I've avoided breaking anything. I almost broke my nose in Iceland when I slipped on the ice. I landed flat on my face. I think that was the closest I've ever come. I'm always falling over though. It's a miracle I haven't broken a bone. 🦴

Hi, thanks for the question! I have indeed. I've been to France, Belgium, Finland, Iceland, Spain, Netherlands and Germany. I'm also going to Poland next month. I've never been outside of Europe but my boyfriend and I are saving up for a trip to Vegas.

A place you wanna travel to?

A place I would want to travel to is Iceland. It has such stunning and breathtaking scenery, with its glaciers, waterfalls, and hot springs. I've always been interested in its cultural history and traditions, and it would be a dream come true to visit such a beautiful and magical place. I would love to see the Northern Lights, the ice caves, and the geothermal pools, and explore the country's rich heritage and culture. The landscape and the natural beauty of Iceland make it a place of sheer enchantment that I'm excited to explore someday. Or I would like to disperse among the public housing projects of Hong Kong, so as to visit the cinema house of my favorite director Wong Kar-wai.☀️

⛸ Do you like to ice skate?

I've never done it, unfortunately! I was planning on going ice skating when me and my boyfriend were in Iceland, but I ended up falling over and smashing my face up. Luckily it happened on the last day of the holiday, but then I didn't feel up to doing anything so our last day was ruined a little bit. We still had an amazing time, though. It's probably for the best that I didn't go ice skating, I probably would have injured myself in some way. 😅

🍨 Are you the sort of person to have ice cream whatever time of year it is even in winter? What about with hot chocolate, would you have that all year round even in the summer?

CazOSX’s Profile Photo★ Cazzy. ★
I'll have ice cream whenever! I went to Iceland last year, it was so cold, but we still went to an ice cream parlour pictured below. Their ice cream was delicious. They had loads of different flavours, I regret not choosing a more exotic one (I went for strawberry), but it was still delicious. As for hot chocolate, I'll only really have it when the weather is cold to warm me up. I don't imagine myself drinking hot chocolate in summer. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of hot drinks in general.

Have you ever seen the Northern Lights

I have! Here's me watching them. ❤️. It was such an amazing experience, but I genuinely have never been so cold in my life. Other than that, it was perfect. The whole trip to Iceland was amazing, I feel very lucky that I got to go!
Have you ever seen the Northern Lights

What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?

I have a couple. I once cut my hand open on a tin of soup and needed stitches. I also dropped superglue on myself and it burned through my clothes and left a scar on my leg. Also when I was in Iceland recently, I slipped on the ice, didn't put my hands out, and smashed my face up. I looked like I'd been beaten up, it wasn't a pretty sight. I guess you could say I'm quite clumsy. :')

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

Medovic1907’s Profile PhotoWow How
If I could do ANYTHING right now, I would close my eyes and place my finger on a map. I would travel to whatever place I randomly select. Ohh ohh I will start with Russia, then eastern Europe, Latin America, Greenland , Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, North Korea (Yes I really wants to know what happens inside all the closed walls) , South Korea, Japan, Australia, New zealand, Kenya, Greece . Once I am done with these places, I don't care about the order. Rest of the places in the world. And if I manage to visit all these places, then settle down somewhere in Norway :

Have u ever ridden a horse?

Yes, in Iceland not too long ago. I didn't enjoy it, though. I couldn't even get on the horse to begin with which made me anxious af for the rest of the trip. Then when I finally did get on, I felt like I was sliding off all the time and felt like I was going to fall off. I also felt like I was too fat for the horse, and was worrying about him. I was under the weight limit, but I still felt bad. At one point, the tour guide asked if we wanted to start going faster and I was like NO PLEASE NO and had to go a different route on my own while the other horses started galloping. I wouldn't have been able to handle it, I definitely would have cried or fell off and died. One of them. 😂. Soo yeah, horse riding is definitely not for me. Luckily my boyfriend enjoyed it, though, so it wasn't a total waste of money haha.

What's the best holiday you've been on?

I went to Iceland recently with my boyfriend. We saw loads of scenery, waterfalls, mountains and were even lucky enough to see the northern lights. We also explored the city of Reykjavik. It was amazing and all snowy, and I wish I was back there! The whole experience was amazing (apart from the last day when I faceplanted the floor and nearly broke my nose 😂).
Whats the best holiday youve been on

What is your dream vacation destination? Assuming money isn't an issue (within reason of course, no buying trips to the moon) where would you go?

Probably india. It's supposed to be beautiful, and yet totally different in every way from the UK. Antarctica would also be good, or Iceland. Damn, I want to go travelling now. I really can't afford it.
A road trip where I just couch surfed all around America meeting new people and hearing new stories. I'd love to stay with complete strangers every night and talk and get to know them, unfortunately that runs the risk of getting me murdered by a psychopath, so my dream vacation would have to stay my dream vacation.
I didn't go on vacation last year, so I decided I really needed one this year but had no plans besides next week. I almost ended up flying down to Florida or renting a cabin in the woods, but now I'm going to NJ. I have family there, beaches, and I'm gonna go to NYC one day. I'm excited. I might do something on the drive there and back. I'm not sure if I have a dream vacation besides going somewhere new. I'm going on a cruise this winter and I'm super excited because I've never been somewhere warm and tropical. And I'm going to swim with Dolphins when I go! :D
Two full weeks. Something completely, if not overly, budgeted so I don't need to budget on the fly during the trip. I'm obsessive about that sort of thing, so being able to relax a bit about it somehow is key. I'm not really sure where or when, but I just know my dream would be able to take 2 weeks, and have enough money saved/budgeted to enjoy myself without having to worry about "we spent too much" on return. I think it's the reason I simply end up using all my vacation days for 3-4 day weekends throughout the year. It allows me an extra day to recharge, I can complete errands I normally can't get done, and I don't have to worry about planning anything.
After visiting Muir Woods on my recent trip to the USA, I'd say two weeks driving from San Francisco through Redwood National Park to Portland for northern summer, to get away from winter. Then spend two weeks exploring Tasmania for summer at home.
I'd like to tour Europe at my own page. So basically unlimited fuel for the car. Just...travel where my gut tells me to go. Explore all there is to explore, learn about the country. If I don't like it, leave, if I like it, stay a week max.
Stay at the locals' motels, rooms as cheap as possible. Chat with locals, live their lives for a bit, taste the local food. From Lithuania to Ireland, there's plenty to experience. And, let's be honest, some European countries have beautiful men.
First summer in a long time that I spend at home due to real life obligations. I'd normally spend two weeks in Italy serving as a youth counselor for a summer camp, which has been kinda fun for the last couple of years. Italy itself is a nice country and I'd definitely would want to go there. Trade the camp for a nice hotel, reduce the group I'm traveling with to the people I like and make sure to visit cities like Florence sounds like a decent plan.

What is the single best thing that happened to you in the past year? 🙂

My boyfriend and I went on our first proper holiday to Iceland. It was lovely just being away from normal life, and spending a week with him. We did lots of sightseeing, and were even lucky enough to get to see the northern lights. They were so pretty dancing in the sky. It's a shame I couldn't get a video, but you have to use 'night sight' on a phone camera, and you're unable to take videos with that setting switched on. At least on my phone, anyway. 🙂

I'll be sending this out to everyone I follow but I'm genuinely curious about everyone since I've been quite busy lately so... how have you been doing? Anything exciting that's going on in your life right now? 😊

I'm not too bad, thank you! How are you? It's very kind of you to send this question out. I'm going to Iceland a week tomorrow so that's all I can think about, really! I'm so, so nervous about it but really excited at the same time. There's so much stuff I'm anxious about, but I'm trying to put it out of my mind. Other than that, I've not got much going on. I've been having my therapy every week, and that's going okay. Emotionally I'm very up and down as usual, but I'm sure I'll be okay. I hope you are, too! 🌻

iceland should do you the world of good why you terrifed im doing ok not getting as much sleep as i would like but im ok

My anxiety is at 100% with it, especially with all the travel restrictions. I'm scared we won't even get into the country. 😂
It's also just terrifying being in a different place, anything out of the ordinary or what I'm not used to scares me. There's loads of little things I'm anxious about, but I'd be here all day explaining. Glad you're okay, and hope you get a decent night's sleep tonight.

Is anyone planning to travel next year?

I went abroad three times last year (Czechia, Poland and Spain), already been once this year (Iceland) and am going again in 3 weeks to Spain. Will probably go again later this year too, thinking maybe Portugal. I'm not putting my life on hold any longer and I really struggle to see why flying to Spain is any different to taking a train to Cornwall. Honeymoon got cancelled last year, would really like to rebook it but while we might be able to guess how covid will be playing out here, I have no idea what it'll be like in the country we want to go to. Also don't want to go through the pain in the arse of cancelling everything again, that was a nightmare. We've booked a honeymoon (Japan) for April 2022. If it can't happen, it can't happen and we'll look to go perhaps the following year. We've booked and paid for the flights and the hotels are all held on booking.com (no money paid). I've booked early because I don't want to leave it so late that we're out of options especially as we're going at a peak tourist time. And really I don't see it as a problem, the flights will get refunded if it's cancelled and all the hotels have short notice cancellation policies.
Also messed with out honeymoon/holiday/ wedding. We're just seeing how things go with the view of going away for 3 weeks at the end of next year, nothing booked yet though. We also have a week penciled in for November. Just a nip to somewhere closeish like Prague, again nothing booked yet.
The majority of the adult population are vaccinated, with boosters coming in autumn - not the same situation whatsoever. Cases are spiking but deaths aren't, we can't be forced to stay inside forever in case someone catches it and dies. Over a year of people's lives wasted, children's education down the drain (I'm a teacher and my god, the Year 7 students are basically like Year 5 kids, if that), mental health of many suffering. Every time restrictions are lifted, cases will spike - we can't be caught in a cycle of open/close otherwise it'll go on forever - the virus won't go away, ever. Got a cruise along the Spanish/Portuguese coast booked for November 2022, not payable till next August,, so we'll wait and see before fully committing, but hopefully by then, things will be a lot better. The only kind of insurance you'll get for Covid will be for if you test positive or have to self-isolate. You won't get insurance for the possibility of Covid related cancellation - the risk is simply far too high for any (mainstream) insurer to sensibly take on.
I'm super grateful that covid hasn't played havoc with my health or finances, however it certainly messed up my holiday/honeymoon plans! Is anyone thinking of booking 2022 holidays? I'm eager to get something booked but I'm worried about travel insurance, can anyone recommend a decent insurer with covid protection? Or should I just steer clear of booking anything for a while?

Where is your favourite place to shop?

I'm always shopping on Amazon. I recently bought two skirts, some black lipstick and my boyfriend's Christmas gifts. I also bought about 20 mins ago an umbrella for when I go to Iceland. I needed a decent windproof one, hopefully it works well! 💨☂️

Quelle est le meilleure repas que tu as mangé cette semaine ?

Last May my partner and I went to Iceland for a month. We were recommended this restaurant in Ísafjörður, a town on the north-western coast. The restaurant was called "The Tar house" and basically, it was a grilled/fried fish restaurant where you ate whenever the ship came back in with the day's catch. It was absolutely unreal. We ate cod, haddock, wolffish, rockbiter and many more I can't even remember. I like fish quite a bit, but I never new fish could have such different textures from each other... The sauces and spices... Halfway through the meal when I started getting full a sadness came over me as I realized I'd never eat this good again. So I doubled down and ate till it hurt, spent the night breathing heavily on my side. 10/10, would do again.
My fiance's family is from Puerto Rico. We went and visited them for Christmas 2016. Her cousin knows a guy who runs a burger stand. The burgers were huge and they were far and away the most delicious burger I've ever had. You can put up Five Guys, Jack in the Box, and fancy steakhouse burger you've had. I guarantee you could have one of these burgers and these would become your favorite burger. I'd put money on it. The quality of the meat they use and the way they grind and grill the meat is far superior.
It's probably going to sound crazy, but our very last night in Japan, we went to Torikizoku. It's a place where everything (food, drinks, EVERYTHING) is 280¥ and it was just incredible. It's almost all yakitori and my god. It was just an endless parade of delicious, tender kinds of meat on a stick, several drinks, and then a delicious dessert of vanilla ice cream with roasted soybean syrup and matcha powder over it. But if I had to pick a single thing... we went on a food tour of Osaka and the last thing we got was something so simple. It was shaved ice (so fine it was like eating snow) covered in roasted soy bean powder and then you poured condensed milk over it. It was a little bitter, a little sweet, just absolutely a perfect delight.
Miyabi 45th in Wallingford, Seattle. Just a transcendent experience. Started out with 5 bites of sushi, each with the most screamingly fresh fish. One tasted so much of "flowers" in my brain that I just started laughing. Next we had steak tartare with wasabi creme and fresh rice puffs for dipping. The perfect texture and the perfect heat. Main course was soba with foie gras sausage, smoked duck and a sous vide egg. The standout was the noodles. You could tell they were handmade, and taste the actual grain they came from. These were a part of the dish, not just a sauce delivery platform. We left happy and giggly.
We were holidaying in Sweden and my parents took me to a pizza place where they served the thinnest pizza I'd ever seen. I don't remember the toppings, but I think it was red, so it might have been made with just sauce and ham.
