Practiqué defensa personal durante un tiempo hace bastantes años, pero lo que es actualmente no hago otra cosa que salir a la calle a caminar a diario, que es algo que eché mucho en falta en el confinamiento (además de estar con mi pareja, claro está) porque estoy acostumbrada a recorrer largas distancias y, si al menos no camino aunque sea un poquito a lo largo del día, se me hace extraño.

Would you support your kids' hobbies/passions even if you didn't agree with them? Like for example, if one of your kids came up to you one day and told you they'd like to take kickbox classes, but you consider that sport too violent and harsh. Would you eventually give in and allow them to practice?

Sure, I would encourage any hobby or pursuit if I felt that there was a benefit and enough maturity to handle it. If not, I would take the opposite position. Kickboxing (or any martial art) would meet with my full approval because I also pursue similar activities (T'ai Chi short form and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu).

Niestety, a może i stety mam niedowagę. Przy wzroście 178cm ważę zaledwie 56kg. Od zawsze byłem chudy. Moi rodzice i dziadkowie również są szczupli, więc chyba nie mam po kim tyć. Próbowałem różnych diet itp., ale skutek był taki, że jeszcze portfel schudł i nic więcej.
Dostrzegam w tym wiele zalet. Bez problemu wciskam się w różne miejsca, w które z normalną wagą bym nie wszedł. Dodatkowo podczas wielu sportów mam przewagę. Gimnastyka, skok w dal, biegi, pływanie itp.
Teoretycznie auto mniej pali. 😅
Jedyną niedogodnością było to, że koledzy często nie traktowali mnie poważnie widząc takiego chuderlaka. Rozwiązałem to w bardzo prosty i dający wiele przyjemności sposób, a mianowicie kickboxing i samoobrona. Dzięki temu już wiele razy udowodniłem, że pozory mylą. 😊

No te ponen con nadie, primero tienes k aprender lo básico, hacer sombra ante un espejo y mucho fisico, no te pueden poner con nadie xk no sería justo, a no ser k cojas a un mal maestro k los hay y ya sabes, en grupo tardas bastante en aprender xk no solo esta contigo sino con muchos, pero ya te digo paciencia y mucho espejo para perfeccionar, ánimo y prueba a ver k tal, ya me cuentas, un saludo.

Tak. Pochodzę z osiedla, gdzie bardzo szybko i bardzo często sprawa dochodziła do triarii i trzeba było się lać. Raz wracałem z tarczą, a raz na tarczy, tak 50:50. Jak zacząłem trenować kickboxing i samoobronę to zdecydowanie częściej wracałem z tarczą.

1. Let it Happen
You’ve been given a wide spectrum of emotions for a reason, so use them. Suppressing your anger is unhealthy. It can lead to ulcers and heart disease, never mind the damage it can do to your relationships and overall sense of well-being. This might seem strange, but try it! The next time you’re not expressing yourself, just picture a little Meg Ryan on your shoulder: “Fester fester fester, rot rot rot.”
If you attempt to hide or ignore your anger, it won’t go away. It might subside for a certain amount of time, but eventually it will manifest itself elsewhere.
Don’t apologize for or excuse your anger. You’re angry for a valid reason, and acknowledging it is the first step toward resolving what’s bothering you.
2. Separate Emotion from Action
You’ll likely want to pull a Godzilla and destroy everything in your path, but it’s important to take a step back and feel the emotion before you take action on it, especially when you feel extremely angry—let the anger take its course. Prematurely deciding to take action may cause more angst than waiting to give perspective to your anger.
After you’ve cooled off, you might find:
The situation wasn’t as big a deal as you thought.
In the long run it will lead to better things for you.
It will take more than an outburst to solve the issue.
Or, you might find your anger was triggered by something completely different.
3. Identify Why
Extreme anger typically stems from a build-up of smaller annoyances. It’s like lighting a match: a person or situation rubs you the wrong way and your suppressed emotions flood to the surface. What’s awkward about this level of anger is when it strikes: it tends to hit at inconvenient times, such as while you’re at work or out with loved ones.
The problem isn’t the delay in dealing with your anger, it’s when the delay turns into avoiding it altogether. Either the initial rage subsides and you try to shrug it off, or you’re so consumed by your schedule that you simply add it to the pile of unresolved issues.
The next time you feel extremely angry, don’t just promise yourself you’re going to deal with it at a more appropriate time—pencil in alone time. Make it happen.
4. Cool Off with Exercise
A great outlet to reduce tension is physical activity: use your anger as fuel for a healthier lifestyle.
Test various workouts and figure out which are most effective at calming your anger. Some people prefer aggressive exercise, such as kickboxing or running, while others find quieter activities more beneficial, such as walking, gardening, or (gasp!) cleaning.
5. Delay Your Reaction
If you’re in a situation where dealing with your anger immediately isn’t an option, inhale deeply. As you exhale, count to ten or repeat a phrase that helps you relax. Keep doing so until you feel centered again.

I've been really tired and out of breath from things like hiking up mountains and generally exercising and pushing myself, but the worst was when I went to a kickboxing class, I pushed it too hard and actually felt my throat closing 😬 couldn't breathe properly for an uncomfortably long period of time

- Drink Water - a folyadék fogyasztásodat tudod nyomon követni,
- Female Kickboxing Fitness - hasonló, mint az edzős app,
- Visual Acuity Test, Eyes Recovery, Eye Care Plus - mivel szemüveget hordok, ezért ezek arra szolgálnak, hogy a szemedet tornáztasd, illetve ha sokat ülsz a laptop előtt, akkor segít el lazítani a szemedet,
- First Aid - elsősegély tanácsadó,
- Lépésszámláló,
- Heart Rate Monitor - pulzusmérő.
Tudom, egyik alkalmazás se tökéletes, mindegyiknek megvan a maga jó és rossz oldala. Viszont abban tudnak segítséget nyújtani, hogy ki tudjak alakítani egy valamiféle rendszert.

I'm 6' and I weigh about 175 lbs, although I don't know for sure, I rarely look at a scale and instead judge by how my clothes fit and how I feel. People are always shocked that I weigh this much as well as the fact that I'm a size 10/12 (long length obviously, I'm all legs) because I look thin. But when you are tall you end up weighing more because that's a lot more body that exists. I'm happy with my weight. I have a flat stomach and I'm pretty active (walk a lot, also do Zumba and kickboxing several times a week). I'm kind of pear shaped and most of my weight is in my hips and thighs with a comparatively smaller waist and upper body. Even in high school when I was a competitive swimmer spending 2 hours a day in the pool doing intense training I was like 160.
I struggled with anorexia as a preteen/teenager and I had a hugely distorted view of what everyone around me looked like. I'd see a really pretty girl and be like "Damn I wish I was as skinny as she is" and then find out she weighed like 30lbs more than me. It was disconcerting! I was 5'4" and my weight fluctuated between 90lbs and 100lbs at that time. Now I usually stay around 125-ish. Gained some weight a while ago and went up to 140, now I'm back down to 130 and plan to either stay here or get back down to 125. But the really awesome thing about that whole experience was that I could still feel hot at 140lbs. I felt better about myself at that weight than I did fifty pounds ago. Which is fucking insane to think about to me. I feel hotter at 125-130 because that's just where I feel my body looks it's best, but it was a huge revelation to me to realize that even though I weighed 50lbs more than I did when I was starving myself because my body was so disgustingly fat to me I could still feel perfectly confident and not spiral into a deep, suicidal depression over it. Weight is a very tricky thing. Much more than just body fat and height play a role in how much you should weigh. For example, I have friends that naturally are big boned or have alot of muscle mass, so that should always be taken into account. Think of it like this- if youre 5'8, theres five feet, eight inches of a body you need to support- and theres no way to do that by obsessing over a number on a scale. it is still important, but giving your body what it needs to properly function for a very long time is just as important.
I am six feet tall. I currently weigh 188. I need to lose about 20 more pounds to be a "healthy" BMI. Even though BMI isn't the most accurate way to predict over-all health, it was helpful for me when picking a goal weight of 170 lbs on my weight loss journey. At my highest, I was 240lbs. Being tall was great in that even at 70lbs overweight, I didn't look "that" fat. It was also to my detriment, though, because I had very little motivation to actually lose weight since my appearance wasn't as drastic as shorter women.

It's weird. Both of them includes kicking some 🍑 But the minds reading takes some time to.. You know, figuring out if it's worth to kicking or not. So I don't recommend you to learn both, for public safety. :p

Now that you mention it, I'm definitely learning kickboxing first and mind reading after. *excited grin* Time for some vigilante action. "The hero that you don't even know you needed." 🦸‍♀️
Off-topic: peaches are my favorite fruit, and I cringe every time someone uses it to refer to the derrière. Like, it's okay to say any of its variations; it's not a swear word.

You never know. The punching bag might be being guarded by an invisible kickboxing champion. So it's always best to punch the air around the bag, before hitting the bag. JUST IN CASE

Buongiorno a tutti. ? "Mens sana in corpore sano": è vero per te? Fai qualcosa per adempiere a questo concetto?

Ho sempre praticato sport, ho iniziato con il nuoto da piccina, accantonato per passare alla danza classica e contemporanea, ho provato il windsurf, la scherma, addirittura il calcio! L'equitazione mi ha accompagnata sin dalla prima infanzia e per qualche anno ho praticato il salto ostacoli, in seguito a un'operazione difficile mi sono dovuta dare una "calmata" e per mantenermi in forma mi alleno in casa (purtroppo mi vergogno da morire ad andare in palestra) con i pesi, vado a correre e faccio kickboxing (totalmente a caso) quando devo sfogare la rabbia.
Questo periodo ha messo a dura prova solamente la mia voglia di correre essendomi ormai abituata da un pezzo agli allenamenti a casa.

Podobają mi się mieszane sztuki walki, kickboxing i grappling, który miałam okazję trenować przez dwa lata zanim dopadła mnie kontuzja i wyszły na jaw problemy z kręgosłupem. Grappling - czyli chwytane sztuki walki, trochę podobne do zapasów. Obalamy, zakładamy różnego rodzaju dźwignie, rzucamy i dusimy ale nie zadajemy ciosów. Co do historii sztuk walki, tak naprawdę nigdy się w nią nie zagłębiałam. Mówi się, że sztuki walki narodziły się w Chinach, ale przecież ludzie od zawsze walczyli, a to o swoje terytorium, a to o pożywienie.

I loved kickboxing a few years ago because it let me release any bad feelings in a healthy way. I haven’t had the supplies to kickbox in quite some time though, so now I don’t work out really. I would like to start going to the gym though 😊

Eu ficaria sem reação. Não sei nada de defesa pessoal. Única coisa que sei é chutar kkk, se pelo menos eu tivesse praticando kickboxing o que não ia faltar era soco e chute. Adoro kickboxing, algum dia me dedicarei.

chị Phương chia sẻ chế độ dinh dưỡng với tập luyện của chị được không? Chị tập bao lâu để có dáng đẹp như vậy dợ chị ?

Chị tập hơn 1 năm rồi em nha
Muốn ốm thì nhanh (nhờ các diet ép cân và cardio) nhưng muốn có cơ thì phải kiên trì 😜 chị thì thích dáng fit, lean, strong hơn là skinny
Chị tập xen kẽ HIIT, Lifting weights trong tuần, gần đây chị có tập thêm Kickboxing cho tập luyện đa dạng xíu. Em có thể chia ra mỗi ngày tập trung vào 1 nhóm cơ, ví dụ em tập 6 buổi/tuần thì em xen kẽ 3 buổi tập upper body, 3 buổi tập lower body. Đó là ví dụ thôi chứ em có thể tập 3-4 lần/tuần cũng đc, nhớ là phải có thời gian cho cơ nghỉ
Ngủ phải đủ giấc nha, ít nhất 6-7h/ngày, ko thì cơ ko phát triển tốt đâu, Trong lúc ngủ, cơ thể có thời gian để phục hồi các bó cơ bị tổn thương trong quá trình tập luyện và xây dựng các bó cơ mới. Các bó cơ chỉ thực sư tăng sức mạnh và độ lớn nếu có đủ thời gian phục hồi.
Uống thiệt nhiều nước, đối với người tập luyện thì nên uống cỡ 3-4 lít/ngày
Ăn uống lành mạnh là cực quan trọng nha, tập luyện chỉ chiếm 30% nhưng dinh dưỡng chiếm tới 70% thành quả của mình á, cân nhắc những gì mình bỏ vào cơ thể xem nó có đáng để mình ăn ko, nó có giá trị dinh dưỡng gì. Nhưng cũng đừng quá khắc khe với những gì mình ăn mà dẫn đến thiếu chất nha, mỗi bữa đều phải có đầy đủ chất, lúc nào chị cũng phân chia bữa ăn sao cho đủ: 1 phần good carbs, 1 phần protein và 2-3 phần rau củ quả
