Is it normal for mama cats to be more aggressive to humans and other pets than usual if they try to get close to her kittens?

Even tho I’ve never had cats, I think it’s normal to be territorial as a mama cat over her kittens. But, in situations when the mama cat can’t take care of her kittens and needs a person’s help, she’ll go out of her way to approach someone she trusts to help her kittens live.

Well, I would bring a cardboard box about the size to hold a toaster oven. When she finished setting up her airbed, I would briefly go outside then come back in frantically saying “oh my, someone just abandoned a box of kittens outside.” After she rushes outside to an empty box, I would plant myself on her airbed.
I’m too heavy for her to remove me from the bed.

My cats. They have dictated the past decade. I complain about wanting to live elsewhere but I wouldn’t trade these special relationships that I’ve formed with these little beings. They are seriously amazing. I think a lot of people would be shocked at my specific cats. You treat a cat like “just an animal” vs you treat them like a little mini person that you adore and that little being turns into a completely different thing. The batch of kittens that had began to turn feral because they were older than they say you should take in a stray kitten still continue to form a closer relationship with me each day after all these years. It’s all been very interesting.

I have 4 cats... one is mother and 3 are kittens ... 2 are male kittens and one is female kitten ... The mother name is Bella ... Kittens names are simba and blacky (male kittens) and the female kitten's name is snow♥️

I recently saw a video of a cat carrying her kittens that needed to be taken care of to the pedestrians who were walking on the street who then took the kittens to a vet where they were fed and thankfully still alive. As heartwarming as that was, I found it very heartbreaking to see some pedestrians ignoring the mother cat and leaving her behind with her kittens. I was just happy to see that there are still individuals who care about animals in this world that the mother cat knew she could trust with her babies.

Can feral cats become unferal?

an adult feral cat is very unlikely to ever trust a human. It has happened I'm sure, but they reason they leave the adults and only take the kittens is because the adult cats who have lived their entire life outdoors away from people will never really adapt.
In desperate cases, like say a colony has aged out of existence and you have one adult cat left on it's own, it's chances for survival have lessoned without the pack- then they'll take that one feral cat and adopt it out strictly as a "barn cat" where the expectation is you feed and shelter the cat and it runs wild on your farm.

I’ve worked with cats of all ages. When my cats were still outdoors I worked with some of them for years until they were comfortable enough with me to let me pet them and eventually bring them inside. It has to be done every day or as often as possible. The ones I had to trap because I was moving and not going to leave them as kittens behind a couple of them took a long time even being indoors to be completely comfortable with me. “They” say a
feral cat can never become unferal once they are only several months old but I’m proof that they can. It just takes effort and love.

What reason could someone possibly have for refusing to give me a baby kitten if their cat had kittens? I could take care of the kitten better. Not to be a stuck up but I can afford better food, vet visits, a more spacious place. I am above them, I’m more suitable to raise a pet.

Maybe they want to keep them. I wouldn’t have given my kittens up. I was attached to them since the moment of their birth and helped their birth. Some energies are meant to be together.

Imagine this - It's 3 AM and the wind abruptly awakens you as you realize you forgot to close a window. You hear some weird noises coming from the dining room. You walk down there and you discover a stray cat has somehow infiltrated and gave birth under the table. What do you do?

I would be shocked and would try to find the cat and her kittens a home but if the mom is quite attached to her kittens and wants to raise them as stray cats, that would be fine as well. I’m not sure how to understand the language of cats so I would contact someone who does have cats to see what the cat wants/needs.

I bought the kittens several new toys and a couple of new treats to try each, my grandmas dogs came shopping with me and I let them pick out their own toys and got their favourite treats, as for the ponies they have the gift of a spa day with their massage lady. They all deserve the best 🥰

It’s been interesting… got a new horse, lost a cat, got two kittens, faced some things I didn’t think I would and have worked a lot on my anxiety. Found a couple new hobbies in escape rooms an axe throwing. Cut off a friend that I have known for most of my life. Had a family member attempt to end their life and are now quite frankly even worse than before so that’s been on ongoing battle this year and draining for all of us who are close to her. Got my first tattoo. Met someone who I think is awesome. Had a lot of heated arguments in the house cause someone has little man syndrome. Mum got engaged to said little man 😅 Finally got my provisional licence and plan to take lessons in the new year so I can have the independence that I need. Finishing the year with a hospital admission but hoping it will be all calm and no drama for December 🤞🏻

Uugghhhhh started looking after a stray kitten’s food a few weeks back and I’d occasionally pet him. That’s it! That’s all I ever did for him.
When he first came, we would fight every other cat and others would hit him as well (we always have a bunch of them here, for some unknown reason 🥲) but then he slowly realised, his food will be taken care of, he will be protected and he doesn’t have to fight anymore, you know?
The kitten eventually stopped being all defensive. Now he plays with the two other kittens, never growls. He knows, he’s safe and he has changed so much! He’s a very affectionate little baby now. He just needed a little love and a little care. Just like plants, just like every other living being.
It isn’t too much to ask for.
P.S I get the song reference! 🥹
