How do you feel about Christian Scientists?

J_A1996’s Profile PhotoJordan A.
I've had the great pleasure of studying most religions & philosophies. Anything I could get my hands on since I was a kid. I'm fascinated by it all. That being said christian Scientists are on a different level of rediculous. I once heard someone who grew up in the religion say they basically believe modern medicine is against god. That you just need to pray away the illness or injuries. No matter how severe. He went as far to say many of his family died unnecessarily from treatable illnesses. Doctors are important people

Apa aja sih yang perlu dipelajari atau dipersiapkan agar menjadi teman hidup yang baik?

1. Dalemin basic skills
2. Dalemin personality & karakter pasangan (klpun dia bkn utk kita, setidaknya kt belajar ttg kepribadian org yg beda2)
3. Belajar parenting (walaupun ga smua org diberkati punya keturunan sedarah)
4. Belajar mencintai (this is long-life lesson)
5. Krn gue abs nntn film survival, jd gue mo belajar ttg medicine, listrik2an & masak2an jg hahaha.
Itu sih yg baru terlintas di guee.

It's the future of medicine and the end to numerous human ailments. Of course we obsurdly still allow religious zealots to dictate policy even though it could benefit the world to make the subject a priority

Depression se kese nikle need some advice

It depends on level of depression. Ager ziada serious nhi ha to phr venting, best friends ya baki relations thek karnay say, prioritises aur habits change karnay say, u can get out of it.
Ager serious horha ha SERIOUS matlab everyday activities disturb horhi hen to clinical stage reach kar rhay/rhi hen, to phr treatment m therapy aur medicines ati hen.
Self medication bilkol na karen. Proper diagnosis len, aur medicine len, sath therapy start karen from a psychologist.
Depression is manageable aur proper treatment say thek hosakta ha. Jitna jaldi treatment start karen itna behtar ha.
Take care.

We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. Medicine, law, business, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, love, these are what we stay alive for.

I completely agree
poetry ties us to our sentiments that we are unable to communicate and instead jot down on a piece of paper or in our notes; it's always a good idea to write down how you feel and then erase it later

Indeed, I do believe as well we all have emotions wether strong or weak, bad or good.
To be frank, i write to relief myself.after all we don’t tolerate outbursts. I believe our soul can talk via writing silently through pen and paper.

According to science and medicine, your brain is fully developed when ur in your late 20s. That’s when you truly are a full grown adult in the literal sense. So why is 18 considered the adult age, when it’s pretty obvious a 18 y/o is still not fully developed? There’s a huge dif between 18 and 28.

Eh, no idea lol
Despite that fact, people mature at different stages, fully developed or not.
It's a concept I've never fully understood. There's varying things that I personally feel the age limit should be higher, bit there we go lol

What we consider the age of majority is a social (and legal) construct. Most people finish school at or around 18, opening them up to more employment options, and the system we live in has defined that transition as the beginning of adulthood across the board.

What an interesting question.
The truth is that I have no idea; however, I do have several theories/opinions. If you ever have the opportunity to visit an old cemetery that is at least 400 years old, you will notice that most people in the 1600's died by the age of 40 which is half the life expectancy we see today. This obviously affected the age people married (13 years old), when people began to work, and when they were considered to be adults.
Another consideration is education. Our public schools were originally designed to prepare young adults to work, right? The town I grew up in was a mill town owned and operated by the corporate owners of the various mills. It was expected that the local schools would provide the future workforce for those factories. At age 18, upon graduation, you had three choices: (1) work, (2) college, (3) military.
This brings me to my final point which involves the military. As we all recognize, war is a brutal business, but it is a business and as such, those lurking in the shadows (bankers, military complex, politicians, etc) earn great sums of money whenever wars are fought and they require a compliant labor force (soldier) that follows orders, does not ask questions and is willing to sacrifice his or her life for whatever cause the ruling class, political class and military complex deem appropriate (typically to defend freedom).
Because the brain is not fully developed at 18, but the body is physically at it's prime, the 18 year old makes the perfect soldier. They are strong, tough, naive, insecure, inexperienced, malleable, compliant, eager to please and most importantly, they follow orders and they never ask questions. So when their superior barks out an order to "charge" the 18 year old will run full speed ahead into oblivion and to his death only to return home in a body bag along with an American flag and Presidential citation thanking this 18 year old and his loved ones for making the ultimate sacrifice in defense of his country (wall street, the bankers, the investors, the arms manufacturers, the corrupt politicians and the greedy ruling class).
For these reasons I believe the ruling class, corporate class, political class and military complex have all conspired to select age 18 as the official age of adulthood.
Is it nefarious? Yes.
Is it corrupt? Yes
Is it evil? Yes
Is it a form of manipulation and abuse? In my opinion, yes. Is it wrong? absolutely!!
Will it ever change? NO.
As long as war exists, 18 year old's will be sacrificed on the political field of battle so that the wealthy can enrich themselves at the expense of the poor, the young, the naive and the indoctrinated 18 year old youth who do not know any better.

I think it's because 18 is when you're developed enough to be more independent, and if we classed 18-early 20's as children still I don't think it'd work, most people have rent and responsibilities in their early 20's and it be any other way

"The First 48
In medicine, they call it the 'critical hour. ' In criminal investigations, they call it 'the first 48 hours'. Ask any detective - they will tell you that if they don't have a lead, a suspect or an arrest within 48 hours, their chances of solving the case are cut in half."
That's what it said when I looked it up. Lol

Once I graduate, I can sit for the VTNE to become a licensed Veterinary Technician.
(I’ll have to take a state licensing exam too bc NC is rude like that).
I was thinking about doing a Bachelors in Wildlife Biology afterward???
We’ll see!! I always wanted to specialize in large animal veterinary medicine.. But wildlife rehabilitation and zoo vet med sound neat too.

The cycle of life and death is something we must all make peace with. Realise that someday you are going to die. Life loses meaning without death. The deep inner anxiety that most modern humans ignore while having this facade of joy and happiness is a result of the elephant in the room, this deep inner realisation that you are going to die. You find solutions to all your other problems somehow but never to the problem of death, you fail to make peace with it as you indulge your soul with the temporary calm of the world. The modern world has progressed rapidly in terms of medicine and standards have relatively improved compared to the ones from human history, yet so many from the human eace are on antidepressants, why is it so? They haven’t dealt with the root of their fears and their anxieties. Deep down subconsciously they know they’re going to die and they don’t want to think about it. It’s taboo to talk about death, someone is having a good time and you remind them of what the ultimate fate is and they don’t want to hear you speak more. ‘Sweep it under the rug. You’re raining on my parade’. This ‘parade’ is all the fun we’re having and when I’m having this fun, death is forgotten. You’ll distract yourself with all this fun for a long time and eventually its going to hit you. When you’re a year old and you turn two and spend that year, that one year was 50% of your life. It’s so long it feels like you have forever. When you turn ten, one year becomes 10% of your life. Each year starts to feel less and less significant. When you go from 99 to a 100 years old, that one year is just going to feel like a day. Without a faith, there is no point of going on, if you and your children grow old to become withered old flowers to eventually die. They lived for a blink of an eye, you live for a blink of an eye. Make it worthy of all your suffering and pain by doing what’s right, make peace with the universal reality of death. Live life accordingly.

Did anyone catch covid when your son did?

Is it okay to show a person how they misbehave by misbehaving with them in the same manner they do, even if they are having mental issues?

If they are having mental issues, don't behave like they do.
If that person is a normal.person, then. It's fine to give a taste of his own medicine 🌝

There an expiration date to everything, think as that as life. ⏰👀

Plausible theory but we mustn't assume death is cessation of life when it may be something that is more complex or beyond our current understanding. Testimonials from prominent physics researchers from institutions such as Cambridge University, Princeton University and the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich propose that quantum mechanics predicts some version of “life after death.” They assert that a person could possess a "body-soul duality" that is an extension of the wave-particle duality of subatomic particles. Dr. Hans-Peter Dürr, (former head of the Max Planck Institute for Physics) asserts that, just as a particle “writes” all of its information on its wave function, the brain is the tangible “floppy disk” on which we save our data and this data is then “uploaded” into the spiritual quantum field. Continuing with this analogy, when we "die," the body (or the "physical disk") is gone but our consciousness / data on the computer continues. Physicist Professor Robert Jahn of Princeton University concluded that, if consciousness can exchange information in both directions with the physical environment, then it can be attributed with the same “molecular binding potential” as physical objects (meaning that it must also follow the tenets of quantum mechanics). Further, quantum physicist David Bohm stated, “The results of modern natural sciences only make sense if we assume an inner, uniform, transcendent reality that is based on all external data and facts. The very depth of human consciousness is one of them.” Lastly, Professor Robert Lanza (Wake Forest University School of Medicine, North Carolina) also believes that the answer lies in quantum physics (specifically, the theory of biocentrism which proposes that the universe only exists because of an individual’s consciousness of it. Essentially, life / biology are central to reality, which in turn creates the universe; the universe itself does not create life - the same applies to the concepts of space / time which he describes as “simply tools of the mind"). Does life as we know it really have an expiration date? Religious convictions may answer the question for some but others are examining it from a scientific perspective and while many theories abound, I am not prepared to reach a final conclusion based on what is known at this juncture.

I am more than sure that this will not happen😹😹😹 But if anything... I believe in medicine. At least because I am a doctor myself)) I think this problem can be solved thanks to modern operations, and no one will suffer
