I just woke up from a nap and everything feels so good again. a good nap can totally fix some of your issues. People need to nap more maybe if they did they will be happier 🌷

That is if they have the time to do so. But yes, napping always makes me feel better, even if it doesn’t completely make my anxiety go away and my intrusive thoughts are usually still present after waking up.

How much sleep do you get each night? Is it consistent? Does it vary?

Honestly not so well 😕 I let insomnia get me again and I need to practice good sleep hygiene, you can follow these tips:
Establish a consistent sleep schedule: Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, including weekends. This helps regulate your body's internal clock.

I spent the day getting some jobs done out of the house, making lunch, doing some housework and napping, and I'm now getting ready to go to a mate's for some drinks with my other half 😊

Tell me how was your weekend?

Absolutely shite.
Couldn't sleep Friday night, so took 2 valium at 2.30am. Which meant I was in/out of sleep until 6pm Saturday. Got up and played Bingo and Uno with my daughter and her dad. Got her to bed.
Then struggled to sleep again Saturday night.
Just felt really low, and I'm still not feeling any different. Had 4 hours sleep last night and planning on taking my daughter to school, coming home and napping. Sick of this constant exhaustion.

What do you suggest to do if a person suffers from depression?

Eat as well as you can and exercise as much as you can. Don’t guilt yourself for eating a cheeseburger and napping, though.
Your brain is a trickster. Don’t trust its sneaky lies and negativity about you.
Build a support network. You don’t have to tell everyone everything, but surround yourself with people who understand what depression is and are cool with giving you space.
Get a hobby that you can do when you’re having a bad depression day. Make sure it is something that you can do from your bed and that takes little to no energy.

💝: I've always loved taking the time to carefully compile/curate gifts for the people I care for. it's something I've always done, ever since I was a child. I really love observing their reactions when I get them to open whatever I've selected/made for them.
🔖: my mama had instilled the love of reading in me at a very young age, and I can get lost in a book for hours on end. now I read during my (long) commutes to and from work.
📝: ...because of my love of stories, I've started writing my own at a very young age. ask any of my primary school classmates, and they can tell you about how much they love my written stories, magazines, and comic books. I've had loyal readers since the very beginning, and for that (and them), I am extremely thankful.
👾: I guess my love for gaming started when my older sister introduced me to neopets back when we were kids. my love for games grew when tamagotchis made their way to singapore, and I was an instant fangirl. if anyone remembers me from tamagotchi forums, I usually went by "pifipatchi". 🐣💕
🛌: I just really love sleep. temporary bliss and rest? yes, please.

Do as little as possible. It’s my one day where I get to do or not do whatever I want. It’s good to have, considering I’m either working or rehearsing with a band throughout the rest of the week. They don’t call it a day of rest for nothing. I like to go to the first showing of a movie, usually by myself, so I don't get bothered with a crowded theater. After I usually treat myself to about 12 Narragansetts and a bucket of wings from my favorite bar. Yep, productive!
I’m feeling like a lazy slug this afternoon. I really haven’t done anything and it’s so nice outside! I feel guilty for sitting on my ass all day. I enjoy weekends a lot better when I get out and do something fun !
Usually I go to a little bookstore downtown and do my homework there...they've got badass coffee and a nice little spot in the corner to work. On this particular Sunday, I have to be at school in two hours for a matinee...there are going to be so many small children. I'm probably going to suffer.
Well, I try to convince my mom not to make me go to church. If I succeed, I sleep in and finish the homework I didn't do on Friday or Saturday. And like JB said, I get sad because it's going to be Monday tomorrow.
7:00 am - get woken by my two year old son with a smack to the forehead 7:02-10:00 am- research the risks of an outpatient vasectomy procedure 10:01-10:15 am - get screamed at my toddler because we are out of waffles. Get up early to cook breakfast for the husband before he goes off for weekend warrior sports thing. Climb onto the couch with a blanket and read or surf reddit. Drink a meal boost shake & eat a sandwich. End up napping. Look at cat videos from local rescues and fall for all of them. Make lists of things to do. Ponder where to go on vacation. Eat leftover Saturday night pizza for lunch. Ignore the dirty laundry. Read more.
I go to ballet class every Sunday morning. Then I come home take a long stretch and have some lunch. Sometimes, if I'm not too tired from class, fiance and I will play some badminton. If not, I shower and then just chill.
I do a longer shower and skincare routine,usually a hair mask and a face mask if I can afford one. The hair mask from The Bodyshop I've had since Christmas and it's not going anywhere it seems. I run errands,properly tidy the apartment when I can be bothered and maybe squeeze in a tv show episode or two.
I usually put away the laundry and finish up any other housework I didn’t want to do on Saturday. I also sometimes mow the lawn if my husband is busy. Other than that I just chill and play with my dog.

Siestas are awesome! I feel like napping during the day would go a long way to increasing your efficiency at work for the rest of the day. However, if you are looking for ways to avoid this mid-day tiredness, perhaps you could try sleeping earlier and sleeping more at night, avoid eating fatty and otherwise heavy food, eating a more wholesome breakfast, or going exercising more regularly. By doing these things, you might have more energy during the middle of the day such that a short 30-minute power nap would give you enough energy for the rest of the day. This would give you an extra 1.5 hours a day to be productive.. or not.
Yes. Sometimes a nap is a part of my routine and sometimes it isn't, depends on what I feel like doing. There's no shame in a refreshing nap if that's what you need. If it's somehow causing a problem or interfering in your life or if the tiredness is somehow an indicator of a health issue then you should probably try to fix it. Other than that though I can't think of any reason not to go ahead and have a nap.
Nope. At college people talk about how essential they are, but it really seems to just encourage a terrible sleep schedule. People will take a 2 hr nap at 2 or 3. then stay up till 4 AM because they can't sleep, wake up at 10AM, and say they need that nap again. I wake up at 7, go to class all day, get my shit done. and come 11-12 at night, I'm actually tired, and able to fall asleep right away.
I have to nap even though I don't want to because I live in China where everyone has a siesta / shoshi in the middle of the day. I usually sleep around 2 hours. I don't like it - it makes me feel like I am just waking up in the morning and I have to go through jumpstarting my day again. I like getting tired around 8 then getting ready to pass out at 10. Sleeping in the middle of the day has also subconsciously (or consciously since I am writing about it) helped me think I can party longer on weekdays since I will 'make up the sleep later'. I actually think this has been what has effected my discipline the most. But I guess to each is own because the researchers say it's good for you. I have an extremely inconsistent sleeping schedule, so I tend to feel extremely tired by the afternoon. I take a nap because there's really no point in forcing yourself to stay awake when your body and mind is telling you that it needs a rest.
I usually take a nap about once a week. I try to keep them to 30 minutes by setting and alarm but I usually end up sleeping for an hour or 2. I like naps but sometimes they make me feel worse, I sometimes get mild sleep paralysis when waking up from a nap (which I never get when waking up from a full sleep).
I hate them. I wake up (if I can even fall asleep) feeling lazy and lethargic and like I've wasted my day which only adds more stress to the next day. Also. I"m not ill or old, WHY do I need a nap?

can't decide between april or september.
april - aperire, "to open", the season when trees and flowers begin to open.
for me a fresh colourful month. no too hot or too cold days, taking strolls or do piqueniques, almost everywhere are nice flowerscents.. makes me happy and feel at ease. we mostly dress ourselves with light colours too.
september - herbstmonat, "harvest month".
i was born in september. the treecolours are darker but warmer than in april and the walkways are covered with colourful leafs too. sipping coffee or tea, napping on rainy days with someone you love is perfect.. makes me feel more melanchonic, but in my opinion a more romantic month than april. you can either only have a hoodie on or a jacket and it's easier to style yourself up, same with april.

Excellent sense of smell. Also musclehorns have great reaction time, and haremhorns are highly sensitive to smallhorn and hornmother needs. Hornmothers have extra napping powers.

how do you find time to write despite your busy schedule? i kind of have a similar one and i literally don't have any time. the spare time i do, i spend it on napping because i get so tired.

ahahaha babe - trust me, if i had a proper answer to this, i'd be all about sharing.
thing is - you have to be crazy to be a writer. and you have to love writing like crazy. i literally wake up at five everyday, an HOUR AND A HALF before the rest of my family does, and get ready, and write at 0% brightness till they wake up. i write in every fifteen minute break i take after a 45-60 minute study session. i write at night till i'm sure i'll fall asleep on my laptop next minute.
another thing - you NEED to know what you're going to write next. because once you sit down to write, you won't have much time, and you don't want to waste it on thinking of what you're going to write.
i hope these help, and good luck ! [also, i understand napping one hundred percent, but i tend to not do it as long as i can bc it messes my sleep patterns lol. but feeling tired every second of every minute of every day is something i relate to 100%]

1. Tackle Your To-Do List

2. Take a Nap
If you're already napping quite a bit, then skip this suggestion… it's time to do something else. But otherwise, feel free to snooze for a bit. The world would be a much better place if we all had a mid-afternoon nap and snack every day.
3. Cook Something New
Find a recipe that requires some effort, preferably something that's authentically not in your wheelhouse and could be called "art" with the right garnish. Stretch your taste buds. You might find you like it.
4. Exercise
Go for a walk, learn how to dance, or wash your car/bicycle/motorcycle. As long as you're moving and your heart rate is up, it counts.
5. Try a New Hobby
You've always wanted to sign up for co-ed softball or try your hand at painting or learn how to play tennis. There's no time like the present, especially since you have plenty of free time.

Thats interesting .. I generally think of a nap of being for an hour or so.
I don't like napping in the day time as a general rule as it makes me feel so lazy… but seeing as it's linked to improved cognitive function I may have a rethink about that and give it a go :)

Teteh dengan kesibukan kuliah jaga kesehatan gimana biar ga gampang sakit, istirahat yg cukup aja kah? Atau minum vitamin juga atau gimana ya?

Kuliah atau kerja nggak bikin banyak waktu liang untuk istirahat juga sih. Banyak-banyak makan yang cukup dan sehat, buah cukup. Terus kalau udah mau flu, aku langsung tabrakin obat jadi nggak sampe sakit. Vitamin udah nggak minum sih hehehe. Untuk istirahat, palingan curi-curi waktu untuk tidur aja. Misalnya pas break atau di mobil, sebisa mungkin tidur. Napping setauku lebih ngaruh dan bermanfaat daripada tidur malam.
