Ohje, wer nennt seinen Hund Nutella? Der arme :D ich kenn einen Hund, der Heinz heißt :D

Tatsächlich hab ich mir da mal Gedanken gemacht, denn ich hätte schon gern mal einen eigenen Hund. Ist aber eigentlich unmöglich, wenn man Vollzeit arbeitet und den Hund nicht mit zur Arbeit nehmen kann. Auf jeden Fall würde ich ihn dann Odin nennen. Finde das schön und passend für einen Hund und angeblich sollen Hunde ja besser auf Namen reagieren, die ein "i" beinhalten. Ob das allerdings wirklich stimmt, weiß ich nicht. Und ich denke mal, dass nicht so viele Hunde gleich heißen. Nicht so wie bei "Bella" zum Beispiel :D
Irgendwie fände ich es auch witzig, einem Wurf Götter-Namen zu geben. Also zum Beispiel dann noch Zeus, Nike, Osiris, Isis, Anubis :D natürlich können die neuen Besitzer sich im Normalfall ja dann einen neuen Namen auswählen.

Beim Hund meiner Eltern hatten wir Glück, dass wir bei der Züchterin den Namen gleich selbst aussuchen durften. Der Anfangsbuchstabe B war vorgegeben und unser gewählter Name Buddy wurde dann auch direkt in den Papieren eingetragen. Eine andere Familie wollte einen Namen, der kein B vorne hatte. Dann haben sie eben "Beautiful" davor gesetzt, dass es in den Rahmen passt :D fand ich auch süß und einen guten Kompromiss. Das Beautiful wird später natürlich weggelassen und der Rufname war dann der Wunschname der Familie.

Und deshalb glauben wir nicht alles, was einem viele Leute sagen. Auch wenn es mir ein Rätsel ist, in welcher Zeitung du das gelesen haben willst.
Der Grund, warum man Weihnachtsmärkte in Wintermärkte umbenennen will, ist nicht, "das haben sich die Ausländer so gewünscht", sondern: dass man die Märkte religionsunabhängig gestalten wollte, damit sich niemand, der nicht Christlichen Glaubens ist, excludiert fühlt. Befragungen in Volk und Regierung haben im übrigen gezeigt, dass die Mehrheit dagegen war.
Ich sehe Weihnachtsmärkte theoretisch nicht mal als unsere eigene Kultur, sondern als das, was uns die Christianisierung im Frühmittelalter mitgebracht hat und Coca Cola mit der Erfindung des Weihnachtsmanns, wie wir ihn heute kennen.
Wenn wir uns also auf eigene Kultur berufen wollten, wäre es wohl eher der Wotansmarkt. Denn der Göttervater Wotan (Odin) brachte laut Legenden wohl vor der Christianisierung die Geschenke. Aber dad ist eine andere Geschichte.

Yeah there are some odd regional traditions.
🔔 In Dewsbury they start ringing a church bell (the bell that Black Tom de Soothill once presented the church with as penance for murdering his servant) at 10am and therafter once for each year since the year 0. This must be a nightmare for local residents.
🏰 From Clifford’s Tower in York they hang mistletoe, if a woman stands underneath it it means she wants to be kissed by anyone passing by. (You’re still allowed to fire crossbows in York by the way, providing that you’re shooting at a Scottish person. Conversely, 45 minutes away in Hull, crossbows have been banned since the 1500s.)
🎼 In Dungworth xmas carols are only sung by locals in a local pub ever since carolling was banned in churches hundreds of years ago by Puritans. There’s also a local pub we used to go to for meals (its name escapes me, I think it’s in or near the village of Goodmanham, where a Temple of Odin lies buried beneath the local church) that does public carolling in the pub, and I wonder if this is rooted in the same tradition. Furthermore, the Yorkshire villages of Castleton, Oughtibridge, Bradfield, Ecclesfield and Worrall all have a 200 year old tradition of pub carol singing, and all have their own Christmas carols unique to that village.
🐴 Every Christmas Eve in Richmond marketplace a person wearing a horses head is sung to by a group of huntsmen who then ‘bring it to life’ with hunting sticks and a horn.
🌞 In York Every 21st December (usually the date of Yule or the Winter Solstice) the Sheriff is accompanied around the city by the York Waits playing music. The procession ends with a speech at the Mansion House.
🐠 On Boxing Day at Flamborough Head, eight fishermen perform a sword dance on the high street.
💈 On the common land of Beverley Westwood at Solstice Dawn or Dusk (winter and summer) , local Morris sides often meet to dance at The Black Tower, weather and other restrictions permitting. I have been to this myself, and danced at dawn. Beer and music is to be had in a local pub afterwards.
🍎 During the Christmas Day service at Ripon Cathedral, visitors and parishioners are each given the gift of an apple, a custom that began in Mediaeval times.
⚽️ In Scarborough on Boxing Day the 150-year-old tradition of Firemen versus Fishermen having a football (soccer) match on the beach continues. (I do not know if women can be members of either team, something for me to investigate).
🔥 On 31st December a Viking Fire Festival takes place at Flambrough, with fireballs and the traditional burning of a Viking longship, something that’s practiced in a number of towns in the UK with Viking heritage.
🦃 This year as you tuck into your turkey, give thanks to William Strickland, born on the Yorkshire coast, who brought the bird back to England in 1526. It became a popular Christmas food during the Victorian era.
🧀 for over 100 yers now, Yorkshire folk have enjoyed a slice of cheese with their xmas cake

Pero de hacerme alguno pues me haría un nudo de bruja, a Hugin y Munin (los dos cuervos de Odín), a Sköll y Hati (lobos causantes de los eclipses en la mitología escandinava, hijos de Fenrir y nietos de Loki), el ojo de Horus, la máscara de La Princesa Mononoke, algo relacionado con Kingdom Hearts, las películas de Tim Burton que me gustan o a saber qué. Pero cosas que de algún modo u otro me representen. Y es que la mitología me encanta desde pequeña, al igual que las películas de Tim Burton y de Studio Ghibli. Y Kingdom Hearts me recuerda mucho a una amiga y a una etapa que necesité vivir para ser quien soy a día de hoy y llegar hasta donde estoy ahora.

What's important and what is not. Back in June, I literally almost lost my life to sepsis. The thought of seeing my Papa who passed away again was calling me. I didn't want to fight back, because my grief so deep and I missed him so much, but he came to me in a dream as I laid there literally dying and he told me I couldn't see him yet. He told me there was so much more I've yet to experience. He also told me that he knew I'd fight back as I always do and always have since I was born. He always loved that I've been sassy & feisty my whole life (Must be all that red hair) and told me it was important to never lose that, as it will be the flame, the light in darkness. The reason I tell this story is because I learned from that hospital bed that I am much stronger than I ever knew. The tattoo on my arm is more than just a reminder. It IS me. It's who I am. I also learned that stupid arguments truly mean
nothing. They don't matter as you lay there, so scared at how close death is, almost like the reaper is waiting for you, you lay there so afraid and all that matters is the comfort of those you love to keep you fighting back. You don't remember the arguments,
but the love of those who you love, who love you back. The love that will always be there, no matter the size of the argument. It taught me that I am
more loved than I ever thought. The amount of people praying as hard as they could that I'd survive the fight one last time, people checking on me for those 4 long days at the hospital. It taught me to give even less of shit than I did, because your journey can come to an end at anytime, so I live how I want to live now. Enjoying the ride, the memories, because I was granted a second chance at this journey when I should've died. I've always struggled with trust, but also I learned to let that go when my husband rushed me into the E.R that morning and literally saved my life. Doctors told me another 24 hours without medical
intervention and I'd be 6 feet under right now. I learned that all I used to worry about doesn't even matter anymore. It's pointless. Those thoughts died instead of me. In conclusion, I learned to stop holding back from telling others how much I love them, how to stop watering myself down to be "likable". It taught me to be me 1000% instead of only 100% and my Papa taught me, much like Thor and Odin, that I am much stronger than I even knew.

Her name has nothing common with modern meaning of english word "hell", it came from Gothic "halja",Old English "hel"or "hell", Old Frisian "helle",Old Saxon "hellia",Old High German "hella" that means “hidden”, "covered" in Old Norse. It's probably a reference to the fact that the underworld was hidden from the realm of the living.
According to the thirteenth-century Icelandic scholarSnorri Sturluson, Hel is the daughter of god-tricksterLokiand the giantess Angrboda and therefore the sister ofFenrirthe wolf and the world serpent Jormungand. This makes her part of a highly dangerous and disreputable family.
Hel ruled over the realm of Niflheim, also often calledHelheimin reference to the goddess of the underworld. This was the place where the Norse dead that did not die on the battlefield found themselves. Warriors that died in battle were taken either to Valhalla, the hall of Odin, or Folkvangr, the hall of Frigg.
All other dead would find themselves in Helheim, under the jurisdiction of the goddess of the underworld, who would decide their fate. So, unlike the christian concept of hell, it was not a place of torment for the wicked and cruel.
Hel gave deliverance, peace and rest for all of her wards.

Entre ellos están Hermes porque sus mitos me parecen de los más entretenidos dentro de la mitología griega y porque tenía la capacidad de ir al Olimpo, el lugar de los mortales y el inframundo a su antojo por ser el dios mensajero de los dioses, además que estaba siempre para salvar el culo a dioses y héroes. También me gusta bastante Perséfone por su dualidad, pues representa la vida y la muerte al ser diosa de la primavera y reina del Hades junto a su tío y esposo. Melínoe hija de Perséfone y se duda si de Hades o de Zeus disfrazado de Hades, pero el caso es que es la diosa de las ofrendas a los fallecidos y se dice que va siempre acompañada de fantasmas y que cuando los perros ladran de noche a lo que parece la nada es porque ella está cerca. Artemisa, diosa de la caza, los animales salvajes, los nacimientos, la virginidad y las mujeres, además de ser quien aliviaba las enfermedades de las mujeres. Asistió al parto de su hermano gemelo Apolo, ya que Hera maldijo a Loto (su madre) ya que Zeus le fue infiel con ella (como con otro tanto número de mujeres y hombres que fueron también castigados al igual que sus hijos). Hécate, diosa triple de la magia, la oscuridad, hechicería, los caminos, entre otras tantas cosas. Y que ayudó a Demeter a encontrar a Perséfone cuando Hades la secuestró. Y por último Atenea, diosa de la sabiduría y la guerra estratega. La contraparte de Ares que es el dios de la guerra visceral.

Y ya dejando la mitología griega de lado también como he dicho muchas veces, Loki. El dios del engaño, la mentira, embaucador, elocuente, algo narcisista y que siempre la lía parda. Odiado por las demás deidades que residían en Asgard. La oveja negra de la familia por así decirlo y quien desencadenó el Ragnarok.

Es muy triste cuando tenemos que aceptar que el tiempo de una mascota ha terminado con nosotros, pues son mas un miembro de nuestra pequeña familia 💔. No me quiero ni imaginar cómo me pondría si Odín se me enfermara así 😓.

Una de las imágenes más cálidas que nos ofrece la imaginería popular sobre la Navidad es la de Santa Claus volando en su trineo tirado por renos mágicos desde el Polo Norte. Sin embargo, pocos se imaginan que hay algo muy brujeril y pagano en esta entrañable representación.

El acto de volar usando determinados animales (que por sí mismos no tienen esa capacidad) es algo muy común dentro del chamanismo. Estos suelen ser animales de poder que se manifiestan durante los trances chamánicos y sirven de vehículos a través de la realidad no ordinaria. Algo similar ocurre dentro de la brujería. Los registros siempre nos hablan de cómo los brujos y brujas volaban hacia sus aquelarres cabalgando en lobos, cabras u otros animales. Y si nos trasladamos a diferentes contextos antiguos europeos, el mismo fenómeno se repite.

Santa Claus, más allá de basarse en un santo cristiano, tiene una serie de prácticas que nos recuerdan mucho al mundo de la bruja y el chamán. neustále jen ukazuješ na ostatní, jak hrooozně moc ti ubližují - hlavně tefal, že? leží ti v žaludku jen proto, že vytáhl věci a tys dostal strach. přesně tak, peter, čteš dobře, jsi posranej strachy. neustále jen pláčeš a meleš o sobě. do zpráv jsi mi co 5 minut psal, jak tě bolí hlavička, jak jsi psychicky na dně a blíží se ti smrt. peter, neblíží.. protože ani anděl smrti by tě nechtěl :(( smutný, že?

En el universo de Marvel tras el Ragnarok los asgardianos se reencarnan cada uno en un cuerpo que no les corresponde, a excepción de Thor que sí reencarna con su apariencia, y es por eso que él mismo decide cumplir la misión de reunir a todos, y es donde se encuentra con quien cree que es Sif (que curiosamente en la mitología nórdica es ella su esposa, pero Marvel lo cambió, como muchas otras cosas, obviamente) siendo realmente Loki, quien poseyó el cuerpo de la asgardiana, queriendo aprovechar esto para engañar a su hermano Thor (que en la mitología no son hermanos ni mucho menos, sino que Loki tiene como un pacto de sangre con Odín, y Hela realmente no es hermana de de ninguno de los dos, sino la hija de Loki.
Pero esa es otra historia.)

Thor finalmente se da cuenta de que no es Sif, sino su hermano, y que el espíritu de Sif está en el cuerpo de una anciana (creo recordar que en fase terminal de cáncer) y está en la misma residencia en la que trabaja Jane (la novia de Thor en el universo de Marvel). Y es allí donde Loki decide acabar con la farsa y tomar su verdadera apariencia.

Lo que ha cambiado en la serie de Loki de Disney+ es que se nos muestra una Lady Loki (que es como la llaman los fans) que sería una versión femenina de él, ya que existe un multiverso.
Pero para quienes conocemos los cómics está bien claro que Sylvie no es nada más ni nada menos que Encantadora. La cual creó el mismo Loki para que le ayudase a él a desatar el mal.
Y de allí a que se nos haya presentado rubia y no morena.
