How are graduations usually held where you live? There any specific ceremonies and celebrations afterwards? If you've graduated yourself, how'd you describe how that day was for you? 🎓

TobbeAsks’s Profile Photoᛏᛟᛒᛒᚨ
I didn’t have a graduation ceremony. I was asked to walk but I didn’t feel like it. I just went to the office to pick up my diploma and went home. I was ill even back then. I’m glad I didn’t have to put myself through a miserable ceremony.
It’s usually a long boring assembly where people give speeches and eventually you walk up to someone and take your diploma and shake their hand and walk out. It’s really not enjoyable at all.

"–You've got to be kidding me. You want me to deal with some goons in Gotham because the Bat is on break!? But he doesn't even take breaks! Where even is that pesky Bat anyway??" Selina hissed, rolling her eyes over at Gordon whilst she flipped through a stack of paperwork with the intel. "...There better be something for me by the time this mission is over. A nice pearl necklace or diamond will do."
"You're in no position to make demands, Ms. Kyle." Gordon would respond, his brows wrinkled a bit. "This is to make up for all the prized or rare gems you've snatched from the museums and jewelry stores in Gotham. And to make sure you get the job done, I hired someone to not only assist, but keep an eye on you as well."
An annoyed scoff would sound from Selina's lips. "Oh, wonderful. Won't let a woman do this job on her own, huh? I sense a lack of trust."
"And you're senses are correct. I'm not entrusting this to you alone." Gordon sternly spoke before there was a knock at the door. "Ah, that must be your assigned partner. Come on in!" Gordon notified the man to enter the office with the two. In which Selina would give another eyeroll and huff.
She turned her attention towards the doorway, only to see a white haired man wearing mostly red and black standing there. "...Hmm...Easy on the eyes I see." Selina muttered to herself, Gordon, who overheard a little bit of her muttering would give her a "What?" Before she proceeded to speak.
"Alright, I guess you're my escort Gordon mentioned...care to tell me a bit about yourself? Or are you going to play Mr. Mysterious like a certain Bat i know...."

How do you stay focused when working from home?

Because I track my own time (not imposed by my employer and I definitely do not share it with them), I have some measure of "productivity". I have data to help against any accusations about "not working hard enough" when I am at home. I have no reason to second guess myself either because I have the data. I also know which times of the day I am productive, and at which time I slow down or when I tend to cause more work for myself. I can know how much time I spend doing ancillary things that not part of my profession but are part of my job (e.g. interviewing, workplace socialization, training, traveling, mentoring, paperwork, company specific skills, random questions, investigating new or different business directions). Much of this non-professional work does not feel productive to me and so I track it to make sure I know if it is increasing while trying to find ways to decrease it. After this I set either a goal or a time limit (say an hour or 45 minutes depending on the task at hand). After I reach my little goal I reward myself with a 5-10 minutes break. Usually stretching, reading or even playing a little something on my Switch is the kind of things I do. Going into the office and all the distractions easily wastes 3 hours sometimes more, making most of my days in the office a minimum of 10 hours after which I am worn out and usually have to work from home the next day to try to recuperate (today was normal, 10 hours 8 minutes). It's no fun trying to put out a fire while someone two feet away from you is having a debate which flavor of some candy is the best for 20 minutes. For me, I am more relaxed and more productive when I have everything I need within a few steps to a short walk. It's really nice to have the entire fridge available to me any time of the day while working, or be able to go outside and walk around where I live, which is much nicer than most office locations (dense downtown areas, or office parks).
I also want to encourage you to be kind to yourself and practice. When you recognize that you’ve gotten distracted, acknowledge it, forgive yourself, and go back to focusing. On the other side, practice staying focused. Check the time when you start and then again when you notice your mind start to wander. Set up a timer (quietly) during class and see if you can stay on task for 1 minute, then 2, 5, 10, etc. Work on your environment as well. If things outside make your mind wander, relocate away from the window. If you check your phone a thousand times each class, leave it in the other room. Close your email/notifications/whatever during class.
Down a cup of coffee, or some other strong caffeine (don't dawdle, you want it in your stomach before it kicks in). Then take a nap immediately. The coffee takes about 20 minutes to get absorbed and take effect, then it'll naturally wake you up (or you can set an alarm).

Which aspect of your self-care routine would you recommend to others?

beyondfeartalk’s Profile PhotoLiving Beyond Fear
Crying. I feel so relieved afterwards.
Sleep hygiene. Gym has helped out greatly. That alone has helped with confidence and even just feeling good and having more energy. I've never really liked working out, but I found some consistent excercises I actually enjoy. And I decided being fit and in shape is better in the long run, so I just suck it up. If anything, it's gotten a lot more enjoyable as I've been building more muscle and seeing results. I'm really into stretching at the moment. Not yoga or anything like that, just stretching. Stretching my arms and my legs. Feels good. Feels really good to have a warm bath, stretch while you're in the bath and then just relax. Sleep like a log after that, never fails.
Female but I did a self care night last night. I was stressed from work and all the after work plans I had made. I cancelled them all, ate a cannabis edible and went for a pedicure. Turned my phone off. Then I picked up some Sushi and went home and ate it my bed naked while watching difficult people. Went to sleep early and woke up feeling much better
When I have the time, I take a long shower with all of my favorite things; products, clothes afterwards, etc- and take my time. In the shower, I imagine the water washing away any bad feelings I have, and when I use soaps and lotions I appreciate everything my body does for me as I go along- the way you clean or appreciate for something you care about. The tending to my body as something special and helpful really helps my headspace. Lighting a candle or burning incense kicks it up a notch too.
Every Sunday that I am going into the office the following day, I make a list of what I want/need to get done for the week. Usually the list includes laundry, cleaning the house, meal prepping lunches for the week and usually one other meal, planning my outfits, and the budget stuff I mentioned earlier. Occasionally other things get added in the mix. I usually end the day relaxing on the couch either reading, playing video games or watching tv. I find that knocking out a whole bunch of stuff the day before my workweek starts make my week smoother. Also when I was in a job I really didn't like, this helped me deal with the Sunday Scaries a little bit. I have daily and weekly self-care routines. Daily is washing my face 2 times a day, with a full routine after. Morning routine includes makeup most days even though I'm not going anywhere, I find putting on a face makes me feel like things are more normal. I then style my hair or toss it in a headscarf if it's a royal mess. Once or twice a week I do a face mask (sheet or tub depending on what my skin needs, I have a collection of masks). While I do the mask, I soak my feet in the tub with some epsom salts. Once the soak is done, I usually exfoliate my feet with one of those amope callus grinder things, throw on some foot cream then some fluffy socks.

What's an irrational fear you have?

Pookeo9’s Profile PhotoEh?
When I'm standing on something tall and I look upward, I have this rather disconcerting sense that everything is going to fall out of my pockets. I can look down just fine – which I'm led to believe is the thing that usually bothers folks – but when I crane my neck skyward, I get haunted by images of my smartphone just, like, leaping out of my pants and plummeting to its death.
I have a terribly debilitating fear of stickers. I don't know why, but I just hate the idea that something could be stuck on me without my knowledge. And yes this fear extends to glitter too. My family thinks it's hilarious and puts the little stickers that go on apples on all of my favorite foods. So now I can't have any peanut butter because it's covered in apple stickers....
I won't dive when I'm swimming. My dad used to dive in high school/college, and he told me about a friend of his who broke his neck and was paralyzed after entering the water the wrong way. I don't mind jumping feet first into the water from great heights, and I'm a good swimmer, but I absolutely refuse to dive from even a dock.
My school has these really heavy metal doors with a huge gap between them and the hinge and frame when they’re open. So, naturally, I fear accidentally putting my fingers in and snapping them off when the door closes. Also, xenomorphs. Especially having one in my chest. Actually, having anything alive inside me at any point whatsoever, but SPECIFICALLY I fear facehuggers, chestbursters, and xenomorphs. I’ve never even SEEN Alien, so I’m not quite sure where this fear came from since I’ve had it since I was seven but didn’t learn anything about the movie or plot until I was 13.
When I was in training in the military my tech school instructor somehow found out about my irrational fear and got a pregnant coworker down the hall to hassle me about it. I fucking passed out in the middle of class because this lady wouldn’t get her baby bump away from me and wouldn’t stop talking about pregnancy and child birth. 5 years later I’m stationed in Germany and I get a new boss. Never really talked to the lady for a couple of months but she seemed alright. Someone from work knew about my pregnancy story from tech school and brought it up during a TDY (like a mini deployment to a base for a couple weeks.) and the new boss was that lady! She came back from TDY and asks me into her office. Her kid was there and she said “did you know this kid almost made you pass out before she was even born?” And it finally hit me who she was.
Driving. Millions of people do it, but here I am at nearly 21 years-old with no driver's licence because it scares the shit out of me. I'm usually fine when someone else is driving, but when I get behind the wheel, I'm immediately struck with the thought that I'm gonna end up killing either myself or other people, and I can't handle it. I think it's an amount of control that I don't want to be responsible for.

My son - I am curious what exactly is his work in office and what kind of persons are his colleagues 😅😅😅 (he says that it is good there with everything but I would like to see it on my own !! ) 😁

Tita sa usapang school: What to do when all your colleagues are graduates of top universities? Mga magna cum laude pa sila halos lahat. Tapos ako provincial college lang nag-graduate ni walang academic distinction. Parang wala akong ipagmalaki sa sarili ko eh sila proud to be UP sa office 🥲

If you're in the company of these colleagues, that means you are at their level. So keber sa school mo? That's just your insecurity talking. I hate it when people are so proud of their school, actually. Parang wala bang ibang ipagmamalake? It doesn't mean anything. Full disclosure: I went to UP, but you never hear me talking about it and all that school pride bullshit. If you can't stand on your own skills and merits without mentioning where you belong or came from or some status symbol or your family, what do you really have? Stand on your own qualities. Be proud of yourself. You have more of an edge because you have something to prove. Good luck.

Business etiquette is vital for growing your business, and when it comes to branding, it becomes more deliberate etiquette.
