Life is most meaningless your money is worth nothing

Let me share what a friend mentioned when we were in group therapy 3 Period
Yes, life is as meaningless as a blank sheet of canvas but it doesn't mean that we're hopeless. We have a canvas (life) and a couple of tools such as color pencils, paint and so on (passions, talents, skills, education). Use them to create your own distinct portrait. I guess, our purpose in life is to find one. Each canbas is unique, may be similar but never identical. So, try to avoid comparing oneself with others because our priorities differ. Some chase after wealth, some choose peace etc. Surround yourself with those aligned with yours and once in a while, challenge yourself with those who don't for a different set of perspectives. Watch how you grow.

How do you get rid of boredom? 🙄

ArqamBaig’s Profile PhotoDexter o.0
My current "boredom cure" seems to be embarking on various DIY projects that I absolutely do not have the skillset for. Case in point, a couple of days ago I decided to completely revamp my bathroom. There was nothing wrong with the way it looked before (other than the fact that it was VERY beige) but I was bored and sick of staring at beige walls...
So I bought a bunch of paint and other bits and bobs and I got to it. I am currently half-way into the project and slowly starting to realise that I miiiiight be in over my head. Painting the walls was easy enough. But now I have a bunch of flooring I need to lay. I have no idea how to lay flooring.
Ah well, guess I'll figure it out!

Do you think if U didnt work you'd be struggling? I know someone who has more kids and she's a sahm and her husband only makes like 30 an hour. She's such a struggle, like her clothes look so ragged. She's destitute.

We wouldn’t struggle to pay our bills but we also wouldn’t be able to live our current lifestyle. Clothes have nothing to do with financial status though tbh most of my clothes are ragged and hve caulk on them or paint or silicone. I just don’t really place that much importance on clothing lol

Никто мне не скажет, зачем я сохраняю фотографии понравившихся девушек?

If you were to make a big art piece, what would you make, what style would it be in etc?

I do have one in mind, rather it’s a huge painting in that it’ll be divided into six pieces. Ichabod is already complete for it, and the Headless Horseman just needs a few tweaks, but in the middle of them, I want to paint a scene from the Revolutionary War, with the two of them fighting, with a portal at the corner of the scene, with Ichabod walking through into a modern, almost cyberpunk world. I’m not sure how it’ll work but I can visualise it at least!! :)

What do a lot of parents do that screws up their kid?

There are many things that some parents do that psychologically damage their children:
1. Negative role model - some parents are hypocrites and are not good role models. They fail to realize that young people learn through observation. So when the parent fails to walk the walk and behave ethically/morally, their children are taught that ethics, morality, honesty and loyalty, do not matter.
2. Best Friends - Many parents want to be their children's "best friend." Big mistake! You are the parent and therefore you are tasked with setting an example and providing guidance, counseling and punishment when required. Once your child has attained adulthood and behaves in a responsible manner, then you can become "friends," but until then, you are the parent and your child IS a dependent not a peer.
3. Lazy Work Ethic - too many parents believe that their children should not work until after they graduate from college. Another BIG mistake! My most effective life lessons were a result of me having to deliver newspapers, mow lawns, shovel snow, empty trash, clean dishes, paint the house, help on the milk route and upon high school graduation being given 3 choices i.e. (a) work, (b) military, (c) college. Working is healthy because it teaches young people to be responsible, honest, loyal, frugal, manage time, set goals and to hold themselves accountable for their behavior. In essence, working as a child prepares you for reality and success. Not working does just the opposite, which is one of the primary reasons we experience so much chaos, violence and woke cancel culture in our dysfunctional society.
There are many other failures I could mention, but those I have listed are most critical, and if corrected would improve our societies health and wellbeing. /Alex

If you were to make a big art piece, what would you make, what style would it be in etc?

LouisaRHale’s Profile PhotoLou
I'd paint something nature oriented!
So either a landscape or close up of some flowers! I tend to draw roses a lot, so I'd probably choose a rose :)
Then I'd do it in the style of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night! It's my favourite painting :3

i used to love painting big murals when i was in high school. i was part of art club, and we would be invited to paint the glass on various buildings like the post office or town hall. when i was with my ex, we also used spray paint to create an outer space mural on a large chunk of cardboard.

How's life treating you?🌚

osamakhannnn’s Profile PhotoOsama
It's good. At least I'm breathing in and out. We actually get to start with a blank canvas. We are the artist of our life, what will we paint? How many times have we wanted to start again with a new canvas? We can do that, it’s ok. As I am about to become a Psychiatrist, it is very important for me to think positive, no matter how difficult the situation is.

If you were an artist, what would you paint on your first day? 👨‍🎨 👩‍🎨 👍 😇

I can say that I drew too much, and always ^^ what was drawn by me was I spoiled my mother’s book on sewing😂 I’ll tell the story when I started to “write to the masses” I remember the applause of the Rusшsian language teacher when I drew a mermaid on paper to the motive of Mikhail Lermontov's poem "Mermaid":
The mermaid floated on the blue river,
Illuminated by the full moon;
And she tried to splash to the moon Silvery foam waves...
I didn’t like answering at the blackboard and at that time telling my opinion about literature, I didn’t like doing it, she basically gave me 2 because I didn’t express myself out loud, trying to bring out emotions, but the time came and the inspiration didn’t leave, waiting for myself ^^
Озаряема полной луной;

Which paint color matches your personality? 🦱

Luv_freckles’s Profile PhotoM____Adam
I decided to google a quiz for this as I wasn't sure, it gave me a light blue called languid blue. It said I find peace where other people don't (probably from the rain/thunder or the little things in life that bring me tranquility). Also said I'm reliable and trust worthy but sometimes empathise too much with other people and stress too much. Quite accurate I think 🙂

Do you have a funny or sweet memory you feel like sharing from your childhood? (if you don't have any in childhood, then adulthood is fine too)

LouisaRHale’s Profile PhotoLou
Probably won't seem funny to anyone but me lol
When I was quite young, my family went to Poole Pottery! (We went pretty much every time we went on holiday to Bournemouth)
When we went, my brother and I would always paint a little ornament. On this occasion, I was painting a mouse, which I still have to this day lol
My dad was videoing us painting, and all of a sudden you hear my mom say "look what she's doing" whilst laughing!
I took a large blob of red paint, and put it on the back of the mouse, looked right into the camera with a big smile and said "it's bleeding mouse!"
Pretty sure it was around the time I had watched the Farthing Wood episode where the baby mice were ended by the "butcher bird"...
Man I was a weird child lol

Szeretsz e játszani videójátékkal? Ha igen, melyik játék a kedvenced? :)

aha, a dark pictures anthology cuccait szeretem nagyon, meg a last of us-t, az until dawn-t, a wolf among us-t, a detroit: become human-t, a gta-t. szoktunk tekkenezni, meg az overcooked és az it takes two is nagyon jó, meg most nagyon tetszik a chicken police - paint it red! de az örök kedvencem a little hope szerintem, bár a disco elysium is jóság

If you had a house and had to paint the whole outside of it a different colour, and it can't be a natural colour (like browns, whites, creams) but only unnatural colours. What colour would you paint your house?

... totally would do something like the house from UP! Lots of different colours on different areas xD

But obv u didn't so they aren't gonna ask u to use them foils when your 2 weeks assignment is to draw or paint 👍🏼🥴

How much do you like your own bed? What could've been done to improve it? 🛏

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
I dearly LOVE my bed. It's the opposite of fancy - it's too short, because in a fit of genius I decided to cut the legs off, and the paint is peeling because I just slapped some random white on it years and years ago.
But it's mine, and I love that it's low and dumb and difficult to store stuff under. I'm a really rubbish sleeper - whether that's due to years of travelling or just a general thing, I don't know. But when I come home and I crawl into my bed, I'm a happy bunny.

What was the last thing you bought to improve the place where you live? What do you think will be the next such thing you'll buy? Doesn't matter how big or small 💸🏠

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
can't remember. Last year i bought alot - false bricks for wall, blinders (so now i have another work area on the window ceiling instead of curtains), chair cushins, shelving, storage boxes, сutting mat, all sorts of plumbing little things to make a faucet in the kitchen, paint, flowers...
Dunno, i wanted to buy some wallpaper last summer, since price is raised i desided to paint this myself, but now i'm not sure i still want and can do that. Sometimes i think i should keep this idea for the next flat next year, sometimes i think that all has no point now.
What was the last thing you bought to improve the place where you live What do

As a "just because I care" gift...would you prefer fresh flowers, candy, a store-bought item, or a personalized crafted piece of art?

vexiled’s Profile Photo↭vex↭
If I can, I’ll paint them something. I’ve also done cards, journals, and things like that for my friends and family too. I’ll definitely give flowers! I have a thing about getting flowers that are just picked off a plant rather than bouquets. (I’ll buy my own) It seems like there’s a thought of “I’m seeing this wildflower and thinking of her, I’m picking it and giving it to her” Pretty much, things like that are much more meaningful to me. My friends give me things that remind them of me. I’ve had all sorts of random odds and ends that I’ve kept over the years.

What's the last thing you created? Show it off!

Bought the dinosaur coat rack from target, and painted it up for my bestie from high school with a Lisa Frank color pallet (she's obsessed with dinos, lol)...
Not exactly the "end product", feel like I need to add another coat of paint.. and see how funny they'd look with googly eyes, lol.

If you were completely enclosed in a plain white room, and could choose a single medium to transform the room into something creative, what medium would you choose?

vexiled’s Profile Photo↭vex↭
Only one?!
That's hard because I would want to mix it up! And paint would be the logical medium.. but I really don't know...
I like to go natural.. so possibly harness plants as my medium.. it's possible but yeah xD

In your creative process...visual art, writing, a song, or a particular look for yourself...do you find that you detach from the world around you, and immerse yourself in the act of creation?

vexiled’s Profile Photo↭vex↭
In a way, yes. When I draw, paint etc, I do detach myself and just feel the vibe. I think sometimes I treat it as a form of escape from the real world, I temporarily "transfer" myself into the scene to gain the ability to express it better. That's usually the case when I'm creating a particular mood.

Have you ever been catfished? If so, tell me about it.

BlueEyesWhiteGuy’s Profile PhotoReaper
I've had people pretend to be people they aren't, and I've gotten to be pretty great friends with them! And then found out and it's hurt.
I've also had a girl on here take my photos, make a fake profile of me claiming she was real and I wasn't. Obviously that didn't go far as I just posted a video calling her out. (I knew exactly who did it). But she then used it to try to paint me as a really disgusting person -_- to which I went straight to Ask about, and they also confirmed it was her.

I think I got too close to you
And the way I felt was kinda new
I build a pair of wings for two
So We can have an eagle eye view
But I flew too close to the sun when I said you where the one
a lost cause before it began
Now I'm smoking like a gun
My wings burned up and now im done
I'll come crashing down soon
Hit the lunar crust with a sonic boom And paint it all maroon
Call the pice of art "The Bloody Moon"
I feel like icarus falling to his death gasping for my last breath
Close my eyes and count to ten
As falling for you lead to my death

If you won an immense sum of money, let's say $10 millions, what would you do with the money?

I would do so much.
I don't want to move into a bigger house somewhere else, I just want to alter the house I'm in. Expand the deck, finish the basement, make a bigger studio room. Major landscaping to benefit the local pollinators.
My art would change in really exciting ways, because I wouldn't be limited to small inexpensive substrates and having to worry about using too much paint or pigment
I might buy the parrot store that's having some owner complications, because I love that store and I love parrots
Local charities would receive large gifts from me

Did you ever have a piggy bank growing up?

I did, but it wasn't exactly a "piggy" bank. I got this from my mom's friend when she was visiting. It was a cowwy bank :D
It was all white and I had to paint it first. After that, my parents would give me 1 hryvnia coin every time they had one and when my mini bank was full, I went to the toy store and bought a lot of things that I liked as a kid. Now, this store doesn't exist ;(
