Are there any hobbies you tried out that you really didn't enjoy? Or any that you could never get the hang of?

Yeah, sewing. I tried it but I couldn't keep the patience.
But I can live with it. Although I admire everyone who is able to do something artsy with that.

Do you usually shop around Black Friday? Have you gotten any good deals this year or previous? 🛒🛍️

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Haha usually I'm a bit low on money around this time of year, due to buying things for Christmas. However this year I have savings I've tucked away and so I decided I'd buy some of the things I've been wanting for a long time but didn't due to waiting for sales etc. I bought a new sewing machine earlier in the week, my last one is vintage and unfortunately recently had issues and needs to be looked at, so I used this as an opportunity to finally upgrade. Got like £200 off the original price, bargainnnnnn.
I'm also looking into getting a new graphics tablet, one with a screen as I've wanted one for ages, and my usual tablet is one of the basic black wacom ones. And I feel like having one with a screen, will help me draw with more ease and also possibly help push my art forward too in skill/quality.

What in your home would make the most noise when it falls down.?

When I moved away from home I got a box of sewing supplies, such as safety pins etc. as a gift from my aunt and I keep it in storage above my wardrobe. It has fallen down a few times and it makes such a noise 😆 My other really heavy stuff such as my PC is planted firmly on the floor and wouldn't be likely to fall down Haha

I can say that I drew too much, and always ^^ what was drawn by me was I spoiled my mother’s book on sewing😂 I’ll tell the story when I started to “write to the masses” I remember the applause of the Rusшsian language teacher when I drew a mermaid on paper to the motive of Mikhail Lermontov's poem "Mermaid":
The mermaid floated on the blue river,
Illuminated by the full moon;
And she tried to splash to the moon Silvery foam waves...
I didn’t like answering at the blackboard and at that time telling my opinion about literature, I didn’t like doing it, she basically gave me 2 because I didn’t express myself out loud, trying to bring out emotions, but the time came and the inspiration didn’t leave, waiting for myself ^^
Озаряема полной луной;

In the student musical I'm a part of there are several sections: Stage, dance, band, prop builders, PR (💙), cooks, makeup, sewing, sound / lights and party-fixers. Imagine you were gonna apply to join, which of those sections speak to you the most? Why? 🎭👨‍🍳📸🎺💃

Probably dance. I've been dancing for most of my Life. I am into Ballet for 20 years, I am doing Jazz and Hip-Hop for 12 years and for 5 years I am also into Poledance.
So yeah dancing is a big part of my Life and i would always pick this section for me. ❤️

How'd you describe your ideal work environment? Does the place you work at play a big role in your overall productivity? 😌💡

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
I need a laptop, internеt, and so that no one distracts me, in such conditions I can work anywhere. If there is a comfortable chair and the ability to listen to music without headphones, it's perfect.
As for my part-time work, I need a chair, a notebook and a student for tutoring. For sewing - sewing machine, overlock, flat-seam machine, iron, ironing board, pins, a case with threads, a case with bobbins, a place to remove patterns, 6 pairs of scissors (for paper, for threads, zigzag, various tailor's, cutter), a cutting mat. In fact, it's often not so much a matter of location as motivation... When I have inspiration, I often write the introduction to an article on the bus, or code on the stairs, or sew with my hands on the train.

Lucky for you because you get to experience musicals which are not a thing here. 😕
If I were to join in a student musical, I'd love to be part of the sections that include singing and dancing. I may also be interested to join in the makeup or prop sections. 🤩

do you know how to do yarn crafts i.e knitting, crocheting?

I've never tried lol
I'm fine when it comes to sewing, but actually knitting etc is a whole other ball game!
It's something I'd like to try! Maybe like knitting a throw or something :)

I choose cooking - baking. I love baking. It makes me feel good. It is like breathing to me. Doing something with my hands frees up my brain to think about other things. The pleasure of removing something perfect from the oven is unique and giving people something I made, with my ownhands its perfect like I live for watching people eat that first bite, knowing that for a blessed second their world has stopped spinning. Seeing people close their eyes and experience that tiny little food orgasm is sunshine for my soul. Likesimply it make me happier when anyone have my food with satisfaction. 💙

Sewing.
My mother's first education is a seamstress. I like the idea of bringing projects to life.
I like that you can create a 100% perfect thing.
I like to draw sketches, choose fabrics, work with a pattern. And when you see the result, you understand what it was all about!
Now I'm making a T-shirt out of a dress & I'm almost finished.
I would say that the ability to sew is a basic skill. I'm not saying that everyone needs to know how to sew a jacket, but the simplest sewing skills will allow you to do without the services of an atelier (this is especially true for me, because of my height I have to shorten almost all jeans/trousers).
This is a useful skill, you will be able to sew holes/seams, sew in zippers, change the length/width of the product, etc.

Stage or make up probably I guess? I've never been involved in anything like that, but I do enjoy playing around with make up (and don't suck at it all that much), and I can go on stage without stage fright or anything and have been to an acting group a few times as a teen, so I feel kind of more prepped and ready for those things than the others which I have even less experience with 😂 Prop building and sewing sound very cool too, though, if there was time to introduce a newcomer like me to that kind of thing I'd probably give those a go!

Prop building! If it includes the more *arty* aspects perhaps, such as painting backdrops or props, or making things (I don’t trust myself if it’d come to woodwork or anything like that!). To me, that’d be so awesome to be a part of 🎨✨

Prop building. . . I helped out in that department in high school as well as making costumes in Home economics, (sewing). . . That’s when they actually had that in school. In my opinion they definitely need to put something like that back into schools.I would just like to be able to help out any where I may be needed.

Very difficult to choose) Usually I am everywhere at such events. But life has taught me that combining dancing and singing in one evening is a bad idea. I coped with the solo part, but for the next two weeks I lived without a voice.
Sewing... well, it's good when you need to sew only one outfit and no one is rushing you. Therefore, in such cases, I prefer to pretend that I don't know what a sewing machine is at all (but it's not difficult for me to pick up references and make sketches).
Props and making decorations are the most relaxing part. No need to worry that you look/sound somehow wrong, no need to rehearse, if something doesn't work out, there is always an opportunity to fix it.

Band.
Music has been my passion and reason for existing since I was first learning how to walk. Many times I feel out of place in this chaotic and brutal world, which is why I keep to myself and only share my feelings and thoughts with my loved ones and of course here, as a virtual entity residing in the ethernet.
I feel most connected to the universe and my reality when I walk onto the stage, strap on my guitar, turn on my amplifier and then hear those magic words i.e. one...two....one, two, three, four and the music explodes filling my ears with melodious melodies and complex harmonies that consume my mind and thoughts with inexplicable joy and a profound feeling that I am home and that this is where I belong, in this moment and in this time. It is, in fact, when I am completely full of joy and my constant companion has finally escaped for a few hours, and a sense of purpose and peace have settled in and consumed my being. And for a brief moment, I am happy to be alive.

What should they teach in schools but don’t?

I feel like my schools done a good job at preparing us for the real world, including the subject of civil defense, methods of protection against various threats (including military threats) and preperation to deal with natural disasters, survival skills in extreme environments, cooking, sewing, fixing and building stuff, knowledge about taxes, economy, budgeting, family life, farming, practical knowledge about plants that commonly occur in the wild and how they can be used for medicine etc. Development of critical thinking, practicing debates in a rational manner. A lot of useful knowledge there. I'm aware that a lot of it is missing in the UK's curriculum, so I think it'd be beneficial to include at least some of it.

Sewing clothes from scratch, upcycling old clothes.
(I actually read somewhere that by upcycling the existing fibres and textiles, it reduces the need for newly manufactured fibers. This saves water, energy, dyes and chemicals, which results into less pollution, also it saves money and it also became something I do when I am free.) ☮️🙏

From Dad I received 👉 love for nature, love for Slovakia, love for history
From Mom I received 👉 love for our folklore, love for handmaking things like sewing, knitting, painting, decorating
and all these gifts I gradually transmitted to my children and as they are quite self-determining personalities, they inspire me a lot too 😃 - daughter by her sport activities, she is pulling me with her to bike, quick walk and to swim and my son loves theater and music so with him I am forced to visit concerst and theatre performances, but I gave him one condition, that I want to see comedies only 😅

With the basic sewing tools at my disposal, I can manage.✂️ I'm not an expert but not an amateur either, just don't put me near a sewing machine as I haven't used it since my teen years🙈. I was under the age of 10 when I first started sewing..I used to sew outfits for my barbie dolls. Then back in junior high for one of the art classes, we had to sew our own teddy bear.

I do! Growing up, my mom was always knitting or sewing something so I asked her to teach me. She had a sewing machine and after I learned how to use that; game changer! 1. When I really need something
2. When I see something so beautiful that I am not able to resist 😅 (this case is not so often because I am quite critical to quality of sewing, practicality and material composition of cloth or other things) 😁 ..... and of course the price must be adequate to quality.
