Do you think vitamin supplements actually work or are a scam?

It depends on the levels of the vitamins/minerals, some of them have such small trace amounts of what they advertise that it’s no surprise when people say that they don’t work. I go for the highest amount of vitamin d that I can get over the counter cos if I stop my bloods come back shit and I get told off 😅

I work, study on weekends, have my own house, large garden and recreational plot. I have so many activities that I do not need any extra effort in the gym and I do not need sports drinks as the exercise while working in the garden is enough for me

Okay my step dad used to make this protein shake all the time ; its Sunny D with Vanilla Protein Powder blended. I know it sounds gross but it’s delicious!

The only supplement I take are vitamins. When I was young I enjoyed chocolate milkshakes but have since switched to strawberry milkshakes.

It kind of depends. I take protein powder daily for example, but I’m not into those supplements that boosts your performance during exercises.
Maybe that’s because I haven’t read into it much and I feel like my workouts are going fine already.

How much sleep do you get every night and how does it affect your life?

I typically get 4-5 hours of sleep, despite trying to go to bed early. I have a hard time falling and staying asleep. I will often wake up in the middle of the night and try to go back to sleep for an hour or more. It effects my life by making me tired as fuck every day. I sleep in and am late for work regularly. I'm drowsy when I drive to work (dangerous) and I fall asleep at my desk all the time. It's a huge problem for me and I have yet to figure out how to fix it. I take melatonin sometimes to sleep through the night but it doesn't seem to do much. If I drink NyQuil or something, I'm even more tired in the morning. It sucks. I need a job that doesn't require me to wake up at 6am.If I get 8 or more I'm good. I really feel a good night's sleep around 4 or 5 in the afternoon when I'm at the gym and my energy levels are high. I can lift a lot and get a great pump. Anything less than 8 and I feel noticeably weaker and less energized at the gym. I've found that sleep is more impactful to the quality of my evening workouts than supplements, food intake, etc.
Doesn't really matter when I go to bed, I'm waking up at 5:30ish. Sometimes that means 7 and a half hours, sometimes that's 3 hours on the weekend. What really makes a difference in my life is water intake. If I'm drinking at least a gallon a day and excercising every day then I have energy regardless of sleep. I definitely feel the lesser sleep and since it’s so broken up into chunks it feels even worse. By 3 I’m exhausted but usually get a second wind or if I drink soda I can feel energized more until nearer to the end of the day. Once every few weeks I’ll randomly be so unbelievably tired and just fall asleep for an hour and wake up dead but then be okay after I get up for a bit. I’m still a teenager not an old man though.
~6 hours, and I do very well. But it takes me an hour or two to wake up. My cognitive high points are early afternoon and mid evening. On days that I get less than 6 hours those periods last for less time, and are probably lower. For consecutive days of less sleep that reduces even more. I also lose some emotional control, sometimes resulting in a depression spiral in the late afternoon or early evening. Although being aware of it as a temporary effect of lack of sleep helps to get through it.
Having a string of really good nights lately and it's great. I'm on medication that makes me tired af and taking it just before I go to bed helps majorly in getting to sleep. Gives me some fucking weird dreams though.
I know it's not optimal, but it works for me. I meet my exercise goals (10k steps nearly every day) and don't drink coffee or energy drinks. I have a diet caffeinated soda for lunch (weekdays/at work only) and a glass of iced tea (Arnie Palmer) at home on the weekends.

My earnings fluctuate every day. Losses and gains can vary greatly from one day to the next. Likewise, there is no yearly average. I believe you're thinking in terms of a yearly salary? It's impossible to offer an average figure because it doesn't exist in my field and my secondary sources of income can also vary greatly.

This depends on one's expenses. For example, I have one acquaintance who earns over 300K yearly and lives rather modestly. Nearly half of that income goes to taxes. The rest, high Manhattan rent for a "studio" (slightly bigger than a cat box), bills, food, student loans, car loan, etc. In the end, he is lucky if he's left with 10K. Another acquaintance earns about 65K - huge rent-free apartment in mother's house (nice part of Staten Island), no loans, doesn't drive, low expenses and she's able to save about 20K / 25K per year. Also has a side hustle selling nutritional supplements online grossing about 5K yearly and she's in her mid-twenties.

Thoughts whenever you feel random chest pain?

I used to have random chest pain, it got severe with time, got tests done, and it was severe vitamin D deficiency >> pain in my chest bone /sternum and other bones.
Received the treatment (supplements and lifestyle change) and I don't have them anymore. Alhamdullilah.

No, I don’t think any of them work in the way that people are persuaded they do by their ads. It’s just another way to prey on someone’s insecurities and get paid for doing so. These things lead to body dysmorphia, poor self-esteem & eating disorders

Do you think it is difficult to live as a vegetarian/vegan?

I've been a vegetarian for a long time so I don't even think about it to be honest, just take extra supplements to make sure I'm getting what I need and that's about it. It helps that meat did not always agree with me cause it means I don't miss it but new veggies that enjoy meat might find it more difficult

how did you overcome your iron deficiency? ive been taking iron tablets for 3 months and there hasnt been much of an improvement :(

Back then I managed with oral liquid iron supplements but now, I have dealt with very low iron again due to gut absorption issues and oral iron almost caused an obstruction so I had a iron infusion last week.
Proceed with caution with those, it gave me a nasty side effect reaction 😂

First of all get some tests done and check all your imbalances, that’s really important. Get yourself some supplements for nerves, i’ve yet to start iron+Magnesium for my sleep issues so i can’t yet recommend that but people say it works.
You can’t overcome u just learn to live with it, if yours has roots from childhood trauma then therapy will take time too it’s not easy.
Anxiety attacks will always take their time it’s best to sit back and let it pass.
If you have a supportive family talk to them and maybe visit a neurologist if things get too bad.
I’ve been through this and i would never wish it upon anybody 💜🙏

I basically have a cold chronically. It started again when I started my internship, so I’ve been having a slight cold since the end of August 😂😅
I haven’t had the flu for so long! The last time I got really ill was in February 2020. I usually get ill 2-5 times a year so not being ill for more than a year truly is a record!
I take a lot of vitamin supplements, I make sure I have fresh air in my room, I clean my room often and I drink loads of water!
To be honest when I’m ill I can’t make myself feel better, I feel miserable. It’s best to just sit it out haha. Just make sure you eat and drink enough!

How is ur hemoglobin level if its low ( anemia) then start iron supplements. anemia is one of the major cause of hairfall. If you have dandruff along with hairfall use climbazam shampoo. Apply 5% minoxidil spray to the affected area twice daily for 3 months along with it take perfectil tablet daily .

Not all vitamins all deficient..
The main one is vit.D due to less exposure of the body to sun due to hijab and clothes
Also there's a blood loss in each month wich make a large number of females are anemic if there's no sufficient supplements and healthy food to restore the balanced blood component of ferrous and folic acid😬

Yes, I know a little about it. Vitamins B, B6, B12, C, D, E and magnesium are essential for brain health and I recall reading about thiamine and how it may prevent cognitive issues. I take multivitamins / supplements but it is probably more beneficial to have a diet which is rich in fruits and vegetables. Since I no longer consume caffeine / caffeinated products, I've become less irritable too - perhaps my mental health is improving as well because those little voices aren't whispering as often. =D

What about ur hemoglobin level is it oka ? If Hb is low start iron supplements and along with it you can also start perfectil tablets or biotin supplements . For shampoo use photonic max if u have dandruff u can also go for climbazam shampoo
