Do you have any stories of when you got sunburned? If not, when was the last time it happened? ☀️🔥

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Geez, I’ve been burnt like a crisp, it wasn’t an obviously sunny burnt looking day and I was out in the boat. After a swim I didn’t put my top back on and the reflection off the water cooked me!! I don’t blister or peel but go sooooo red and it’s soooo hot I could hardly move for two day!!

Do you exercise? What's your favourite exercise? Do you own any gym equipment? 😁

M1ssSemy’s Profile PhotoStar. i
I do exercise! I either go swimming, both with a swim team and alone or I head to the gym! When I swim I like to put on paddles and a snorkle and just swim laps upon laps, I find it very relaxing! Not in that it doesn't tire me but it's a good way for me to clear my head 🏊‍♂️
I own some resistance bands, jump ropes and a "multi trainer band" but I very rarely use those at home to be honest with you 😅

I swim in the open ocean, at night in cold water, in places where there are hundreds of yards of depth below me. don't think you can scare me with that.😹

Good question Juliy, I don’t really know tbh. Our water is around 55F down here and I can spend hours in it but I’ve never tried timing swims in water down to 41F 🤷🏻‍♂️ 💋

Bearhead01’s Profile PhotoGilbert Thomas
For me, the most comfortable water temperature is no more than 35 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, I can swim a few miles.
But I had the experience of swimming and at a temperature of 30 degrees Fahrenheit, I did not feel the difference.

What's your biggest fear? When did you develop this specific fear? * - And how do you usually deal with it if and when you come in contact with it?*

M1ssSemy’s Profile PhotoStar. i
Probably the fear of water going over my head. I was nearly drowned when I was about 5 my mother apparently was teaching me to swim, holding me so u could do the arm and leg movements. She still held onto me when her favourite child was splashing and swimming about. Whilst holding me she basically started holding me under the water. I freaked out started screaming to let me go, whilst inhaling water. She then blamed me for nearly drowning and told me I'd ruined the day. That was the last time she took us swimming. I couldn't swim after that in the pool. I could in the sea, but not in a swimming pool

How old were u when u discovered/developed a passion?

smugcobra’s Profile PhotoSmugCobra™
I started swimming when I was about 3, since that's when my parents signed me up for swimming classes at my local swim club. I simply never stopped and climbed the ranks to become a competitive swimmer, so it's my oldest passion by far, going strong for a solid 20 years! I may not compete anymore but I still love being in the water 🏊‍♂️

What do you think of being in water? 🏊‍♂️🌊

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
If I'm honest, I'm not a big fan. I can't swim, so I feel really unsafe and anxious in water. I went to Tenerife recently and the hotel pool was just too deep for me; I was actually a bit scared. However, I love being around water! Being beside the sea, being on a boat, being in an aquarium, by a river or waterfall... I absolutely love that! I find water so peaceful and calming. I don't like being in deep water, but yeah, being around water is amazing and so soothing. I love boat rides, they're my favourite.

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Actually, I love being in the water, but I'm extremely picky because I'm terrified of deep AND dark water.
If something touches me, it's a nope.
But honestly, when I was a kid I didn't have such fears and we were swimming for the entire day.
My favourite thing is to just float on my back and relax.
Swimming is extremely healthy and I wish I had more opportunities to swim, I haven't done it in like 6 years.
.. like I said, picky with my watersss.

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
I love it!!! I used to swim a lot when I was a kid. Whenever we go to a river or the sea, my parents would let me swim and play. Sometimes we would also go to the hot spring or pool. Maybe this is why I have broad shoulders as an adult. 😅

Would you share a swimsuit pic?

I would need to have one first. I don't ever swim and when I do once in 5 years or so, I go swimming so I'm not busy taking pictures.

What do you know well enough to teach to others? 👍 😇

Swimming! I used to be a competitive long distance swimmer! So technique was always my strong suit, since you needed good technique to keep up high speeds for long periods of time! So if anyone wants to learn how to swim freestyle, you could do worse than having me as a teacher. Or at least once you've learnt some of the swimmer lingo that I use 😆 My P.E teacher actually had me teach my classmates in high school, I've stood in for swim instructors etc. 😁

Do you prefer living in the city or county and why?

Country. Because I never have to drive in traffic ever in my life. Can leave in the woods and still be 10-15 minutes from any type of store you would need. I'm an outdoors person, nature is just beautiful to me. Creeks and rivers you can swim in, they're plenty out here. Ever seen the night sky out in the country compared to the city? You can see everything including the milky way going across the sky, it's beautiful.
As I grew older, and the credit I was building by my behavior was actually positive, it was nice to move to a small town. Walking into a bank where the manager knows your name, getting greeted at the post office and not going through a hassle picking up packages, etc. Once, I even had a wallet returned to me because the lady recognized my picture from church. Mind you, there are less opportunities. My wife worked as a graphic designer for a bit, and demand wasn't terribly high or lucrative. Non-city life makes it a bit easier to be a part of the community. Bedroom communities. They're small towns that are close to large cities. Most of the people that live in these towns don't actually work in these towns. You get the feel of the community of a small town, people know you, yet you still have stuff to do that isn't too far away.
I generally have much more in common with city people. I also like concerts, theater, public transportation and good restaurants, and that really only comes with cities. I like visiting the country but have no real interest in that lifestyle.
Rural within easy reach of a city is ideal for me. I live in a city currently (for university) and I really struggle with sleep because there is always light and noise coming from outside, also I hate crowds. I'm from a small village originally and much prefer the peace and quiet, and the green countryside
Rural, because I was born in it. I've problems when I'm sleeping at friend's house because I'm used to the noises of the cities(and I'm talking about small cities <30k citizens), for instance my grandma had problems sleeping because they opened a railroad that passes almost 2km from our house, but you are able to ear it in complete silence. Also the idea to have a garden or to walk outside without the traffic, I feel like I'm in a box while being in cities like Milan.
Being in a larger city can be nice sometimes, but I would never live in one. I just find it too crowded, too hectic and very weird if you are just surrounded by city. I like small towns/cities, something around the 30-60k population mark. You have enough people there that the place isn't totally empty, but it's not too crowded, the city is small enough that can easily bike everywhere and the city is just large enough that you can do some stuff in it. I grew up in a city with around 30k people living there, and I just like the feeling there.

How do you like to spend most of your time in and around pools? 🏊‍♂️🏐😎

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Well, when I’m in the pool, I enjoy swimming, whether that’s just casual swimming or doing laps. I can only swim for short periods of time though as I tend to get fatigued quite quickly. 🥲
When I was a kid, on top of swimming, I often played games in the pool. Some of the games included Marco Polo, F-I-S-H, Freeze Tag, and Sharks and Minnows. 😁
When I’m around pools, I mostly like to just sit back and lounge in the sun (despite how easily I burn, but we’ll ignore that 😝). Though I do have a horrible habit of falling asleep, or at least dozing off while lounging, especially if I just finished swimming. And if that’s the case… Well, I just turn into a lobster. *snip snip* 😂🦞

What is an activity you do more now than before the pandemic?

Neo_gs’s Profile PhotoWar
I'm much more active in the student life of my university! Though, much of it has also to do with that I moved away from home during the pandemic, to live in the city where I currently study. If I hadn't, I wouldn't really have been able to be active in things such as the musical or student swim club, pandemic or no pandemic. Traveling back and forth by bus all the time simply would've been too much of a hassle 😬

What are your hobbies?

anonstar17654’s Profile Photoanonstar17654
Eat. Sleep. Read fictions. Write/Journal. Explore and listen to music. Surf the internet. Scroll through social media. Walk at a park and/or beach. Swim (more like float and attempt on frog style). Spend quality time with loved ones. Watch movies/shows/concerts. Experimental cooking. And as of lately, compose music.
I've revived my old Instagram photography account and been posting some of my music works. I've no music background and playing around for fun. I'm still learning on how to navigate through such things but rather contented with basic mixing at the moment.

Where did you go on your last vacation and how much did it cost you? Was it worth it?

I went to Cornwall for a camping holiday for the week. The campsite had a private lake you could swim, row and fish in. We also went surfing, kayaking and coasteering. Detoured to the Eden Project on the way back. The most expensive thing was eating at Rick Stein's seafood restaurant where it was about £120 for two people. All together, including the petrol to drive the 300 miles there, I reckon we spent about £450 for two people.
Toronto! It was somewhere in the mid-hundreds for all 3 of us to go for a weekend. We drove there, visited the CN Tower and aquarium, walked to a food festival, and spent the evening playing in a park. The next day, we breakfasted in the Kensington Market area and spent the rest of the day walking and eating around Chinatown before driving home. It was absolutely worth it! I really enjoyed going without a full itinerary and staying in a relatively cheap hotel within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to explore. France and Belgium, staying in Amiens, Ypres, Brussels and Bruges. Travel and accommodation was probably £500 each I think. More was spent on food and good beer. My next holiday is going to be Cancun in October/November for a week. I’m going to the Beloved Playa Mujeres which is a properly fancy all inclusive, adults only resort. That cost £1500 each, including flights. It will be worth it. I plan to make the most of the all inclusive stuff!
Total 300€ per person for about a week in Malta in February. We had already visited Malta in August 2016 and still had a few things on our list that we didn't have time to do back then, plus I wanted to escape our harsh weather for a bit. It was worth it. Malta in February is much warmer than Germany, where I'm from, in February (though of course way too cold to swim in the sea or something). It didn't rain at all I think. There were relatively few tourists and the hotel was cheap because it was off season. All in all it was probably the best destination possible for the date and budget.
Las Vegas back in June. Between the two of us, probably $2000, most of which was spent on airfare (we live in a small city in the middle of nowhere and no close big cities), entertainment and food since EVERYTHING is marked up there. We had a lot of fun though so it was worth it. Split a room with my mom and aunt, but they paid for most of that since they wanted the fancy suite with two bedrooms. We saw Rod Stewart, the Michael Jackson One show, and spent a day going to the Grand Canyon. Not big on gambling, but we still had a blast.
Had a mini break in the National Forest for a couple of nights with Beard and Child. Paid minimal moneys for a YHA room, self catered on the cheap, visited an amazing outdoor activity centre on clubcard vouchers. Kiddo made friends, we sat around drinking cider in the sun. Including petrol and food we probably paid about £70 for the weekend. Cheapskate breaks are my favourite, we're hoping to have another one in a few weeks.

What would YOU consider, some of the simple, but BEST sensations, to ever experience? (i.e., using a Q-tip in ear, having someone wash your hair, scratching a bug bite, clean bedsheets, ect) 👌🤪

Nothing is as relaxing to me as having water rush past you when you swim freestyle. The sounds you hear when doing so clears my head better than any kind of meditation. It's also so satisfying when you achieve the perfect technique, you grip and push the water in a way so you feel like you're truly a part of it. Then I also love to simply dive down, be completely immersed in the calm silence of being underwater and to watch how the sunlight ripples down there 🏊‍♂️💧

With summer coming to a close, what do you have planned for the autumn? 🍂🗓

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
I am attending an internship in a few days and I am quite nervous about it, since it is so far away from my whereabouts and I never travelled so far by myself via train. xd But I think I will be fine.
I am looking forward to autumn so so much. It is my favorite season and for now, I am not planning anything in particular since work and university determine a lot of my actions. But maybe I visit the upcoming Book Fair in Frankfurt with a few friends and cosplay a Ghibli character, hehe.
Besides that I will be in the third semester of my Master's degree. Time is moving on so fast, that I feel overwhelmed by the pace of it. Let's just hope I will be fine until then. I want to walk a lot through piles of fallen leaves and just swim in the autumnal glow. 🍂

Have you ever tried freediving? 🤔

LarryStylestomlinson436’s Profile PhotoMe - Larry
That's the only kind of diving I've tried out, I even was part of a freediving club for a few years Haha At my best I could hold my breath statically underwater for around three and a half minutes. As a matter of fact, I was freediving in Australia when taking this picture! 😄
@smugcobra And to answer your question, most badass thing I've done is to swim at a depth of 10 meters with a sea turtle 🐢

🌸🌻 What is your favourite thing about each season? 🍂❄

kittiemeowsie’s Profile PhotoKittie Meow.
Let me 1st with my LEAST fav season.. I like Summer.. but there are more things I DON'T like about it then what I do.... I cannot stand the heat.. the bad hurricane weather.. the flooding.. having to cut the grass so much.. I like Summer for the fact I get to play ⚽️ Soccer and Volleyball 🏐! And I get to fish better and swim! Love it for those reasons and I do like the rain just not 5 to 6 days of it....
My 2nd least fav season is Fall..... I love it for the color changes! My fav part.. but not a fan of exactly seeing it all dead.. the thought at least.. more hurricanes and super super dry and boring weather. So yeah..
2nd fav season of mine in Spring! I don't like it for the sniffles it gives me because I am allergic to some things here and there in this season! But I do love the weather! It's still cold out here and there and some days... the weather is literally perfect! Love seeing the random flower bloom pop ups! And just.. the world 🌎 looks so beautiful in spring.. people are in such a good mood in spring. Love season.
And my FAVORITE season! 😍 WINTER!!!! I love snow. Love the cold! Love the months that fall in this season! Winter is peaceful. I am not a fan of the freezes we get time to time. No no. I am good. But everything else about Winter other then the dry skin is def...yeah. I love! 🥰

🌸🌻 What is your favourite thing about each season? 🍂❄

kittiemeowsie’s Profile PhotoKittie Meow.
Spring: It's always nice to see all the flowers and such starting to bloom again! Especially where I live, the rapeseed fields bloom around May and that's when I think my area looks it's best 🌻
Summer: It being hot enough to be able to swim in the ocean and that's when many of our Swedish traditions take place, such as midsummer and crayfish parties ☀️
Autumn: Many of the buildings in the town where I live are covered in ivy so they all get so colorful and aesthetic! The best time to take pictures according to me 🍁
Winter: The cold makes it so much easier for me to sleep. And it's always so cozy to wear sweaters and cover yourself in thick blankets. I also like winter fashion the most! ❄️

🌸 Do you like hot weather? And if you don't, how do you deal with it? :)

kittiemeowsie’s Profile PhotoKittie Meow.
It depends! I like hot weather whenever I'm outside and can enjoy it, like by being able to swim in the ocean and such! Though, being inside is a whole different story 🥵 Only thing I try to do is to cool my room down at night, close all my windows during the day and have my fan on. But oftentimes that doesn't work too well and you just suffer 🥴

What would you do if you suddenly grew to be as tall as a high-rise building? 🥾🏢

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Oof, well once I got over my initial shock that I was suddenly super tall, I’d wanna know if I was the only person like this. Cause I think, if I was, I’d be very concerned about getting around, and that everyone would be scared of me… And if that was the case, I wouldn’t be able to get what I needed very easily. Also, I’d be wondering if I’d ever go back to my old self. 😬
As for what I’d do, I’d wanna like test out how much stronger I was at that height and also, I’d wanna see how fast I could run, swim, etc… 😂
I might even do more dangerous things like go on crazy hikes or climb a mountain or something, cause it’d probably be wayyy easier for me than the average person!
What would you do if you suddenly grew to be as tall as a highrise building

do you know how to swim?

Sort of... I can swim to a small extent, but not in a great way xD
It's a very rare thing that I will have the opportunity to go swimming!
Maybe once every couple of years lol so it's not something I really bothered developing :)

What do you like to do for fun?

Examples of things I like to do for fun include photography, swimming, playing video games, talking with friends etc. 😄
@smugcobra And to answer your question, I'd say I'm pretty decent at some of those things! Whenever I swim at my local pool I tend to be the fastest in the water and I've felt comfortable framing some pictures I've taken and putting up those on the walls of my room 😁
