What would you do if you were alone and lost in the middle of the woods without food, water, a cell phone, a map, or a compass?

> food,
I can hunt, trap, fish, gather some edible plants / berries or anything that I may find. I've spent plenty of time outdoors and I'd know what to avoid. For personal reasons, animals would be my last resort.
> water,
Any body of water would suffice. I carry a portable filtration system is my truck, a basic survival kit, tools and some other odds and ends. Distilling water is relatively easy too. If no body of water is accessible, trees would be my option for water and syrup (maple is about 100 calories per ounce). Simply tap with a small tube (metal, pvc, etc.) and drain in a container. This takes time but I wouldn't have anything else to do and I could tap several while I'm waiting for help.
> a cell phone,
Smoke signals / flares / fire.
> a map, or a compass?
If I can see Polaris, the sunrise and sunset, etc., I can make a good determination on which direction I'm headed. Wild animals would present the greatest threat but I would be prepared for them too.

If you press down on a memory foam pillow and fart in the hole while it expands, it will trap some of the fart particles. The next person who uses it will be surrounded by the smell of the memory of your fart for a good 5 minutes!

Dua Zehra was only 14 how she got married, is this right to do so?😥

People don't understand the seriousness of this matter, they find this scenario amusing.
It's Time Trap. Three girls (Dua Zehra, Nimra Kazmi & Dinar Ali) disappeared the same day from the same area of a city, and they were found in an other province the same day!? It's a bad joke propagated by media & police as a smokescreen. Both media and police are hiding a bigger picture behind the issue. We all are aware of the truth that our country has an issue of human trafficking and child abduction.
It seems Dua'a abductors want a safe way out. Her father's plea has made it a national issue. It led to all the agencies getting involved and helping to recover her. It must be someone linked or some important person who is involved on the back end due to why media & police are doing a cover-up now. Her videos seems completely staged as if she is reading a script, and the boy seems pressured too.

Have you ever opted out of something/opportunity/what have you, that just didn't feel right about? What was it? Do you feel you made the right decision?

Coolio247’s Profile PhotoJustine Coolioness
I honestly can't think of an opportunity I actively chose to opt out on. But I have definitely dodged several bullets when it comes to scammers and such when I have been out traveling. In Shanghai especially, if we hadn't read up on the tricks that some use to trick tourists we could've been in big trouble. For example, they lure people into buildings which supposedly has a great view and trap them in there until they pay up. We legit got an offer like that, to follow someone to a place with a good view 😬 (And yes, this is a picture I took 📷)
Have you ever opted out of somethingopportunitywhat have you that just didnt

Why do you like to travel?

For me, it's about fulfilling a sense of wonder about a specific place. Unlike some travelers, I don't go to a place because it "sounds nice". I only visit places that intrigue me for one reason or another. I may have watched a documentary or a movie or read a book and suddenly I'm hooked. For instance, I loved British comedy when I was a kid. I had to go see England. So I did. It was everything I expected and more because I was interested in the small details of the place. The brick architecture. The hedgerows. The musty air of an old pub. The gray slate skies over the Channel. All that stuff. I've been to London twice. Still haven't seen Big Ben or Parliament. Why? I just don't care about them. I've read a lot about Roman history and the great Slavic migrations, so I visit those places. I probably won't visit Sweden because it just doesn't hold any allure to me. I'm sure it's nice and I even have a very good Swedish friend. But I'd rather go to Turkey. Or New Zealand. Or Argentina. Those places intrigue me. That's why I tell new travelers on this forum to think hard about what place holds that magical appeal in their minds. GO THERE. Once you do, every moment becomes special. You aren't just plodding from one tourist site to the next. You are instead immersed in a dream come to life. That's why I travel. Being completely immersed in a culture you have no experience with and people who speak a language you dont know is incredibly fun.
What I mean by perspective: these are the tourists who want to see something that they've heard about or read about all of their lives, and they want to see it for their own eyes rather than on a page or a screen. Times Square, the Mona Lisa, the Pyramids of Egypt, etc are typically the things that these people want to see. Examples: people who sign up for tour groups and spend 10 days on a bus going from tourist trap to tourist trap. Very few people fit perfectly into those three categories, but you can define a lot of travelers by how they fit across those categories. I'd say I personally am about 15% adventure, 15% hedonism and 70% perspective. I travel on my own, without a minimal set itinerary or guide, but the places where I travel tend to be fairly sedate and within an easy walk of toilet facilities. While travelling I indulge a little, but not much more than I would at home - it's about indulging in different things. And I'm 70% perspective: I want to be able to see thing with my own eyes so that I know what it really looks like, without the perspective filter that books, movies and video games put on places.

Why do we always say life is short when it’s the longest thing we will ever experience?

I feel it was only yesterday when I used to fight with my brothers on petty things.
I feel it was yesterday when I used to ask my mom that I wanted to go to school.
I feel it was yesterday when I used to bunk my classes and spend time with friends.
I feel it was yesterday when I had my first break up.
I feel it was yesterday when I got my first salary.
Life is short or long depending on what you compare it with.
More importantly, though, life feels shorter or longer depending on what you do with it. If you only do the same few things over and over again, the years seem to go by very quickly. I am trying to get out of that trap myself.

if getting married is normal then why getting divorce isn't normal ?

waleedbutt465’s Profile PhotoWaleed
It’s suppose to be a ‘forever’ thing especially when you’re not taking a chance with a random someone, especially when you already know each other and are compatible with each other, especially if you claim to love each other and to be there for each other.
You can’t just dump eachother like a tissue paper.
Do you disown your blood relations? Rarely 🤷🏻‍♀️ but you deal with so much shit they put you through from childhood till old age. So you do have patience! You just choose not to practice it with your person because somewhere in your mind you think, you can replace them! People are so so quick to give up on their marriage now because people rush things. They never really had acceptance for each other’s shortcomings, never had respect for each other, never really cared for eachother and ofc ofcourse... infidelity.
Idk how people switch from one person to another, after literally making them a part of their life. Likewise idk how people lie about everything that they are, just so that they could trap and marry someone, who otherwise would’ve never said yes, if they knew their truth.
People are ugly and full of shit and nothing is more scarier than getting married in this day and age.

He would end up watching your friends pass away and not only that but..depending on how your powers work, you could cause Vio to suffer for all eternity, look at what Death has done with Geno for instance, he had no idea his powers would trap someone in the last injured state they were in.. now Geno goes about struggling for all eternity in constant pain and anguish..do you really want this for Vio? What if your powers have some negative effect on him? He isn't built like you dear, he can't handle the same things you can

Marriage is not a trap. It's the most important commitment you will make in your life. You should only marry someone who still wants you even after years of living with you. Kung ayaw ka pakasalan for any reason, why would you want to marry that person? In the same thinking, so point lang ba ng babae makasal kahit na ayaw na sa kanila after magsama sila pero trapped na yung lalaki? Try not to entrap anyone by false advertising na you want to build a life with them pero you just want to imprison them when they are no longer happy with you. Ayawan mo rin sila for being worthless an unable build a life with you? Be more empowered and not just a passenger in your life.

You know what I believe in? Perspectives.
Let me tell you why.
When we live in a world for so long that’s full of idiots (read: capitalist ideals), we start believing that idiocy is the default state of the world and that it’s only natural and inevitable.
This is your core belief, no matter how much you dislike admitting that.
And so this is what drives your thoughts, ambitions, judgements, ideas, actions, and most importantly, the concept of worth.
No matter how much you dislike admitting that.
So this is your set perspective through which you perceive the world around you, you perceive yourself and your experience of living.
Great. What’s wrong in that?
Well, for starters, you’re absolutely miserable and everything is falling apart.
“Excuse me? Isn’t that my individual fault and individual experience that has nothing to do with the society and my own suffering to bear?”
Err, no. Nothing in this social setup of the world is *that* individual. If it were you would be the only miserable person you know. Or at least, other miserable people wouldn’t have the same roots and reasons of misery as you do. You’re not that significant that your actions would cause such painstaking consequences for anyone, even if that anyone is you.
If you’re in a misery, no matter how individual and personal it may seem, it’s almost always the world’s fault. The collective fuckery of being, or as some sophisticated sociologists would like to call it, “the sociological perspective.”
You’re all collectively suffering living in a perspective that’s not doing you any good.
Now what I believe in is, that anytime you try to make radical changes that do not challenge the core belief of it all, you’re just bullshitting yourself.
Running around in the same sinking shape. You have to change the ship as well.
Oh no, how did I just call the problem sociological and the solution individualistic?
No idiot, this is not a “solution.” It’s about perspective.
Come closer.
Listen to me carefully.
Whenever you are analysing your worth, and you feel bad, it’s because you don’t realise what you’re analysing your worth against is also just a false alarm and isn’t something default that you have to care about just because the whole world cares about it. And it’s very difficult to identify what things and variables you’re just “naturally” (as a result of social conditioning) assuming, so you keep falling into this deliberate trap because you can’t target the core belief behind all of your thought that’s polluted by capitalist materialistic ideologies.
Why am I sharing this piece of profound wisdom with you?
Well it’s because the other day I was also miserably falling into this spiderweb of how I have wasted my time at the university.

Why can some people cut a toxic person out of their life while others can't?

✦ ───────────── ✦
First, everyone has a different tolerance of pain. Those who stay longer in their toxic or abusive relationships do it either because they are highly patient with their partners or they are already trapped in the toxic cycle. The most common way of a narcissist is to trap someone is to give their victims the illusion of friendship, harmony or love between them. But there will always come a point when their victim can sense something is odd. E.g. when catching them lying or not keeping their end of the word. And when you try to speak to them about it and hold them accountable for what they do. It's always not their fault. And because they want you to believe it too they start to neglect, deflect, accuse you of the same (basically playing the UNO return card). The argument with them gets never really resolved because in their mind it's of cause always someone else's fault. The toxic cycle begins then when the narcissist tries the other person to believe that the relationship/friendship will stay the same, and will be as good as before. But it never will like that obviously because you can't build a friend- or relationship out of lies and an inability to be responsible for the things you do to other people. And so the good times become less and less, while the times of arguing about what happened become more and more. The people who stay in the toxic cycle are addicted to the hopeful illusions the narcissist serves them. So that's why. They need the realisation that a highly narcissistic person will never change. And if they do...it will only be for their own benefit or for a short amount of time so they can keep their victim supply close to them.

how was your new year? how did you celebrate it? what gifts did you receive?

My New Year’s was pretty bad. Our new neighbours decided to have a very big party and we couldn’t even hear our own tv. 😬
The party lasted until around 3am, the party was downstairs but the music was so loud that I was still able to hear it very clearly on the attic, something I’ve never experienced in my whole life living there before.
Then my ex also tried to guilt trap me whilst he was drunk (I believe).
We don’t celebrate it with gifts here, we celebrate it with food snacks and champagne. Then we go outside and watch the fireworks than other people lit up 😊
New year started quite great still, because I was able to spend it with my family and my boyfriend 😊
