What is the most valuable freedom you possess?

tristanandiseult3’s Profile PhotoMarie Serendipity
I am open minded.
I love having meaningful conversations with people who have different perspectives.
Instead of arguing, I can acknowledge their points of view, take into consideration their feelings, and that's how I tend to easily connect with them.
The freedom to communicate with people from different backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures is a privilege that I cherish.
The truth is, it can be challenging to find someone who shares the same mindset.
They tend to be very judgmental.

Do you feel like social media has a positive or negative effect on how realistic our expectations are in life? For example, how we view travel, success, relationships, and physical appearance?

tristanandiseult3’s Profile PhotoMarie Serendipity
Though social media has connected people from across the parts of earth ! But it has definitely created more fake expectations and unnecessary society pressure on people without them realising 🤷🏻

One thing I've learned.
You can make close friends, even love someone deeply.
You're used to talk to them everyday, but then one day, they will leave.
I'm still not used to that, and thinking about it, makes me kind of sad.
It differs from my real life.
I always keep contact with my friends, people that I care about.
I don't have this idea, that one day they'd be gone.
Unless for a dramatic reason.

tristanandiseult3’s Profile PhotoMarie Serendipity
Definitely, especially in a digital era like this, I think that social media can have both positive and negative effects on our expectations for life. On the one hand, it can inspire us to dream bigger and set higher goals for ourselves by exposing us to new ideas, cultures, and experiences that we might not have otherwise encountered. But on the other hand, it can also create a sense of pressure or inadequacy if we start comparing ourselves too closely to others online especially when it comes to things like travel, success, relationships, and physical appearance. We just need to remember that what we see on social media is often just a carefully curated highlight reel and that there is so much more beauty in real life than what can be captured on social media. 🌻

I think each of us has his own point of view, whether positive or negative. As for what people wear, I am not authorized to judge them based on their appearance.

I think social media can have both positive and negative effects on our expectations in life.
On the positive side, it can inspire and motivate us by showing possibilities and diverse lifestyles.
It can also provide valuable information and connect us with supportive communities.
However, the negative side often outweighs the positives.
Social media tends to showcase highlight reels, leading to unrealistic comparisons and expectations.
It can distort our views on travel, success, relationships, and physical appearance by presenting overly curated and filtered versions of reality.
This can lead to dissatisfaction, pressure, and a skewed perception of what’s normal or attainable.
We must approach social media critically and remember that it rarely shows the full picture.

Most things have multiple aspects depending on the way of thinking.
If the internet is cut off from the world, will it definitely stop? No, of course not.
Humans live in this universe and are the inventors. But the ease of communication between people will return to what it was before, and people will go back to gathering information from books, for example.
Travel, for example, moving between countries, is linked to adherence to laws, customs and traditions. The common principle is mutual respect.
It is true that most things have multiple aspects, and that an internet outage will not mean the end of the world.
Humans are capable of adapting and living without this technology
Communication: Traditional communication methods such as letters, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings may return.
Information: Books and libraries will return as the main source of information.
Trade: Trade will continue, but it may become more difficult and slower.
Travel Travel laws and adherence to customs and traditions will still be necessary, but procedures may become more complex.
However, it is important to recognize that the internet has revolutionized many aspects of our lives
Communication Communication has become easier and faster than ever before, allowing us to connect with family and friends around the world.
Information Access to information has become much easier, allowing us to learn new things and understand the world around us better.
Trade It has become easier to start and grow businesses online, which has created new economic opportunities.
Travel Planning trips and booking flights has become much easier, which has encouraged more travel and exploration.
In the end, the impact of an internet outage on the world will be complex and multifaceted.
We are likely to see some challenges, but we are also likely to see new opportunities.
The ultimate impact will depend on how individuals, businesses, and governments respond to this change.

Social media acts as a double-edged sword in shaping our expectations of life. On one hand, it offers a glimpse into the diverse tapestry of human experience, inspiring and connecting us. On the other, it often distills life into curated snapshots of perfection, fostering unrealistic ideals about travel, success, relationships, and physical appearance. This dichotomy challenges us to discern between the portrayed utopia and the complex, imperfect reality of existence.

I take from social media various cooking and baking recipes, ways of trainings and diets and things relating health care and it is positive influence on myself 😁👍(This all appeares on my facebook main wall 😅) . I think that people can take from social media what they need,, like and consider to be useful for their life 🤷‍♀️.

Yes, I believe that with the advent of Instagram and Photoshop, people began to compare themselves with others more often and have complexes. I faced bullying for my appearance and weight, which led me to eating problems and complexes.
I rarely post my photos because I don't like to be seen.
I don’t like to brag about something or cause envy, because I used to suffer from bad words addressed to me and didn’t understand what caused such hatred towards me.
I have few subscribers, photos, I want to be invisible, because it saves me from unnecessary attention and criticism.

Well tbh I had already experienced life, travel, relationships and so on as an adult before the invention of social media. So I don’t really take my cues from social media as to how to think and live, at least, not to a huge degree.
I think it’s either revealed or perhaps even caused polarisations in terms of various social issues though. Broadly I think it’s good that people can more openly discuss such things, and conversely I suppose the trolls and the incels etc are bound to come with the territory of the anonymous-connectivity of the internet.

For me, it’s definitely both. I love seeing animal content on my Instagram feed and seeing people happy makes me happy too but at the same time, I have a tendency to think that people are living their best lives based off of how optimistic they come across as on social media. I’m only seeing the positives without the negatives and it makes me think that life is beautiful for everyone except for me but my mom is more grounded and reminds me that life isn’t always picture perfect and social media can be deceiving. I don’t care about physical appearance much these days so following those who look “better” than me physically doesn’t affect me much but, when it comes to traveling, I do get jealous seeing others travel while I stay home and sit in my room. It’s both inspiring but also unrealistic and, at times, depressing to be on social media for too long.

There are both for and against aspects really.
One for is that we now understand more how “the other half live” so we help our half grow and one against is that we are not happy the other half has more than us 🤷🏻‍♂️

Have you ever found a spider in your room but it climbed too high up the walls or suddenly disappeared from your view and you had no choice but to go to sleep not knowing where it went?

Have you seen the photo a few posts down on my page? 🤣 Biggest spider I’ve seen inside the house ever. He was on me. I guided him up the wall and he sat in one spot for a a while. I went to sleep and now he’s gone. No idea where he went. I’m really desensitized to insects anymore. That guy probably has a nice bite or venom to him tho. We will respect each other’s space.

How do you view the concept of death from a philosophical perspective?

zaidwali915’s Profile PhotoZaid Wali
The only concept that I have of death is that it's inevitable. Every soul shall taste death, we can't stop it from happening but we can pray that when our time comes, it's not a painful one and we're not one of the people who would be thrown into the hellfire on the day of resurrection.

How do you view the concept of death from a philosophical perspective?

zaidwali915’s Profile PhotoZaid Wali
I like the concept of skydiving because I think that while doing it, you throw yourself into the air, and the air carries all the burden, making you free of all struggles. Then you just float in the air, and I think the same is the case with dying.

Do you think that in 20 years, people will look back at our current technology and consider it outdated, much like how we view technology from two decades ago? I feel like we're already so advanced that it's hard to imagine how much further we can go.

I agree and yes, if technology advances a lot in the next 20 years, people will most likely consider our current technology as outdated.

What’s your best summer memory that you have of going on vacation ?

brown_fox359’s Profile PhotoBrown_fox35
When I was around 13, we went to Branson, Missouri with another family. They owned a large vacation house there by the lake. I got to fail at water skiing and we enjoyed tubes pulled by the boat. The sunrise was breathtaking. I was always the first one awake and I enjoyed the mornings outside in the perfect fresh air. I remember the old tree swing with a perfect view. I photographed the Lilies. We saw dinner shows that I can still vaguely remember. All of it was perfect. Definitely one of my favorite trips.

The depths of a man's heart are a mysterious sea, holding secrets even he cannot fully grasp. With the weight of the world on his shoulders, he navigates the tumultuous waters of life, carrying the burden of responsibility with silent strength. His emotions run deep, hidden from view, yet guiding his every action.

Humans are canvas if god messes up that canvas should it still stupidly bow to him ?

Well, — I suppose one way to interpret that statement is that we are all imperfect beings who make mistakes from time to time. And while it is certainly possible to learn and grow from these experiences, I don't think it is productive or healthy to view oneself as "stupid" or inferior just cause of past errors. Instead, I believe in approaching life with an attitude of self-compassion and understanding - recognizing that everyone has their own unique struggles and challenges to overcome. So if God did happen to mess up the canvas at some point, maybe it just means there was something even more beautiful waiting to be created in its place. 🌻

Where would you like to end up stranded: a forest, an island, or an abandoned village?

gawnferal’s Profile Photohudیٰ
Definitely, an island. What if the village is haunted by the souls of the tormented? What if it was the site of a pagan ritual? No, Sir, I'd stay away from villages. Now, the forest is just as spooky. All sorts of reptilian horrors and critters rule it. The night is when it's the most dangerous. It can also be a hunting ground for a Yautja. I can't possibly survive against it. An island will at least give me a nice view :,)

I don't really drink cocktails. If I do I normally choose something long and fruity. The last cocktail I had was a Strawberry Daiquiri, which I had in Cape Town at a pool-side bar with a view of Table Mountain.

What genres of books do you like to read (or listen to if you prefer audio books)?

Emmagine_This’s Profile PhotoEmmagine_This
I read a lot of psychological fiction. I've always been a sucker for stories that place you directly in the headspace of its’ main character(s), allowing you to view the world from their own, unique point of view.
That said, I enjoy well-written fiction in general. I’ve never been a purist when it comes to genre… I’m happy to read just about anything, provided I find the premise and the characters engaging enough! 😊

What'd you do if you suddenly grew to be as tall as a highrise building? 🥾🏢

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
This sounds funny to me imagining myself tall as a highrise building well — I would probably start to feel a bit lightheaded from the altitude and the lack of oxygen up there and might also start to attract a lot of attention from airplanes and helicopters, who might mistake me for a new skyscraper or a UFO. Plus I would have a great view of the city, and I could probably charge people for tickets to ride the elevator up to my head and take selfies with me. And if I ever got bored, I could always play a game of basketball with the clouds or see if I could reach the moon with a really long jump. ゚+.ヽ(≧▽≦)ノ.+゚

What problems did u had in the past

I had problems with keeping friends due to being annoying once I was comfortable around them when I was younger, I struggled with finding my purpose in life and became a people pleaser to be satisfied (which only satisfied me temporarily) but didn’t realize how much I was making a fool out of myself by being that way, I had and still have OCD that makes it harder for me to find certain things that people consider as “normal” to be normal for me because of the way I view events, and people would try to boss me around or control me because I was quiet and didn’t know how to speak up for myself in cases when I should’ve.

What's the best / worst thing about what you do? Like your job, what you study etc. 💼📚

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
The best part of Cosmetology for me, hands down, is how fulfilling it is to help someone achieve a style/look that makes them feel like the best version of themselves, that hopefully instills more confidence, self esteem, etc. Also, how intimate it is to spend time, one on one, with a client. There is so much opportunity for conversation and connection. I love that part of what I do so much! It almost feels like you have friends coming to visit, and you can just catch up. 🥹
Also, can’t beat someone saying “You made me feel like ME again.” I’ve had that happen before, and that could easy be the most heartwarming thing I experience. Hair is deeply connected to a lot of people’s identity, and to me, nothing tells me I’m doing my job correctly, than someone having a response like that. ☺️
The worst part is how the beauty industry as a whole, profits off self-hatred, and how it continues to promote harmful products/procedures to “fix” it. And certain people, as well as major brands have figured out exactly the way to capitalize off of it. They target people, and they are unfortunately really good at marketing those products. 🤢 Also, just how much toxic beauty standards infiltrates media, social media, etc, and shapes young people’s view on what beauty is supposed to look like. A lot of it sends the message that beauty is purely skin deep, and that the only thing that matters is your outward appearance. Of course, this seriously impacts young people’s confidence, self-worth, etc. I think it’s sad, unnecessary, and disgusting. 😅 I could go on and on, but I think I covered the main things I wanted to say!

Is everyone a mirror or just you? If everyone is not meant to be trusted, does that mean you can’t be trusted? Or if you see me as a monster, is that because you’ve always been one? I do believe it’s all deflection really and you’re a wizard at it.

It sounds like you're contemplating trust and the nature of relationships. If you're finding it difficult to trust others, have you considered why that might be? Do you think it's possible that your own insecurities or past experiences might be influencing your view of others?
Sometimes, we see in others what we see in ourselves, and that can be a reflection of our own fears and doubts. However, it's important to remember that not everyone is untrustworthy, and it's possible to build strong and trusting relationships with others if you're willing to approach them with an open heart.

If someone cheated on you, would you consider it acceptable to cheat on them in return?

lostineden’s Profile PhotoLost in Eden •°•☆
Personally I'm not going to do that because that's super immature and actually an unhealthy way to deal with a problem. Why stoop so low, relationships/connections/ love (whatever you want to refer to it as) isn't a game and it's really sad to view it that way. 🤔🌸

How do you handle conflicts or misunderstandings with your loved ones?

zaidwali915’s Profile PhotoZaid Wali
I tend to clarify and try to tell my point of view about the situation and hear their pov as well and ultimately where there's love, people learn to forgive and maintain the same bond b/c losing a loved one over a silly misunderstanding wouldn't bring any good either.

It sounds like a guy name but I wouldn’t automatically question them by asking them whether or not they’re a guy since I try not to focus on gender and let gender determine how I view someone.
