Remember the good old days when we were kids and didn't have to stress over things like work, inflation, time, bills etc. Adulthood sucks.

Those weren't good old days for me. Sure, I didn't have to stress about those things. But I had to stress about a lot of worse things instead. I'm glad I now only have to "worry" about adulthood things.

Have you ever been on a working holiday?

SlimMan’s Profile PhotoBill Walker
🎭 A number of national conferences for people in my vocational area, or at my level, in my jobs were very much like that.
🏰 I took kids with disabilities to Disneyland Paris for a week each year in one job.
🚙 I did work experience in a Mexican wheel-making factory once while I was holidaying there for a few weeks.
I’ve gigged round Europe.
🎓 And my temporary stint as a director in a US University followed by a month at college over there sometimes felt like it because I was so far away in another country. 🙂

Did you know Opel / Vauxhall is a American GM product?

ErinFiveV’s Profile PhotoQueen Of Extreme
NO.
Where is Vauxhall originally made?
Vauxhall Motors Limited (/ˈvɒksɔːl/) is a British car company headquartered in Chalton, England. Vauxhall became a subsidiary of Stellantis in January 2021. Vauxhall is one of the oldest established vehicle manufacturers and distribution companies in the United Kingdom.
However , when I bought MY first Vauxhall in 1978 , it was at that time own by American 'General Motors'
And it was generally well known at that time , that GM owned Vauxhall , Opel , & Bedford . . .
My Vauxhall was a 'Viva GT' ~ very rare , only 200 made . . . didn't even have a handbook ! - but the manual for the 'VX-490' was perfect, as that was it's ohc engine . . . . twin Stromberg carburetors, that were virtually pumps!
mine only got 8 miles to the gallon when I got it ! . After much expert work & tuning, got it up to an amazing 20 mpg
Could only keep it running with help from enthusiastic friends & constant raiding 'scrappies' for VX490 parts . . .
Finally had to let it go
Here is a rather toned down model , and a dreadful colour !

Are you aware of the huge earthquake that took place in Turkey on February 6, 2023 and killed thousands of people?

Yes💔 it is important that local and international authorities work together to help those affected and mitigate the effects of the event as much as possible.🇹🇷🕊️🤲🏻🙏🏼

Hi Ate i just need advice he says he doesn’t want me but is still sticking around why? 😢

heyyy okay brace yourself cause this is gonna hurt but since you asked for it here is what i think.. :)
He doesn’t like you frrr. He doesn’t want to commit to you but it sounds like you might be his emotional support human. He enjoys having access to you and doesn’t want to put any work and effort isn’t needed because you allow him to have free access whenever he needs it. He gets by minimal effort because you allow him to. Why?? Cause you have weak spot for him.
If there’s an advice you should take from me, is to save yourself some time sis and focus on yourself instead. If someone really likes you they’ll put an effort to show you :)

Something worth reading (books)

moedfarooq’s Profile PhotoGhost
-Mystery by Robert Greene (There are proven steps you can take to achieve mastery in a discipline. Don’t accept the notion that you were either born with talent or you were. Analyze the path of greatness and you too can become great.)

-The Obstacle Is the Way by Ryan Holiday
(Ryan is one of my favorite authors, and this is one of his best works. In this book, Ryan shares a modern take on the ancient philosophy of Stoicism. It will help you overcome any situation in life with endurance and resilience)
-The Talent Code by Daniel Coyle
(What is the secret of talent? How do we unlock it? This book gives you the tools you can use to maximize your potential)
-Deep Work by Cal Newport
(Deep work is the ability to focus without distraction on a cognitively demanding task)
-The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change by Stephen R. Covey
(This classic is still a must read. As much as I love books like Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and all of the other classics, I think this has the most practical applications today. Don’t get me wrong , those other most definitely do as well, but I’d start here)

Jak myślisz wydawanie dużej sumy w podróże przez kilka lat to inwestycja?

wyluzowaana’s Profile PhotoDziewczyna z Dobrym Sercem♀❥
Do you think spending a lot of money on travel for several years is an investment?
It depends if the trips are for business related work? In this case, travel is an investment that brings material profits. If these are only tourist trips, they do not bring money, but they are a way to explore the world, i.e. it is an investment in yourself

Hi Liu. How have you been? /Alex

Hi, Alex!
I've been good. After the second semester started, I don't have much time for social media, so I stopped using my smartphone and switched to the Light Phone 2, which has been an interesting experience. All social media is now on my laptop, and when I have time, I check it.
In general, my life is good. I'm still going to work, college, Bible study group, and church on Sundays, and the rest of my time I'm either doing homework or making plans with my friends.
I've read your posts about your updates and I'm glad you can work fewer hours now and commit your time to the things that are important to you ☺️

Just look at yourself and be honest. Can you marry someone who behaves like you?

Arslanmalik1’s Profile PhotoArslan Malik
What works best is a combination of similarities and differences.
Similarity helps avoid big problems. Big differences are hard to reconcile and tend to destroy a marriage.
Moderate differences give you things to talk about, they expand you viewpoint, and invite you to explore new worlds. It also gives people time to spend on themselves as individuals, which is important to a marriage.
When I was in college, my professor told our class that it’s good to marry someone different. Differences makes a relationship exciting. It’s amazing to be with someone and work with your differences. It won’t be boring.
Besides, I’m sometimes a crazy person. I overthink and worry a lot. It will be a mess to have someone who does the same, too. I need someone to calm me and erase my worries.

How would your coworkers describe you?

EloquentlySagacious’s Profile PhotoEloquentlySagacious
Some of my coworkers are upset with me because I recently reduced my work schedule from 30 hours per week to 20 hours per week. But mostly I think they would all agree that I am a hard worker who does a good job and that I do not like gossip and I mind my own business.

Livi you're overworked and under appreciated.

I appreciate the validation aha, I do try my hardest at work but I still feel eternally not good enough. I work long shifts by myself whilst everyone else either bunks off early, don’t show up or don’t do any cleaning (or the amount they do is really quite shocking). It’s just saddening and demoralising at this point 😔
It’s bad when even customers are saying that I shouldn’t be there for so long and that I need time off 😅

What was something clumsy you did recently? Inspired by the fact I dropped a newly bought bottle of soy sauce earlier today. Wasn't exactly the easiest to clean up 🥴

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
The other day I carried my work gear up to my car but it was locked so I put it down and unlocked the car.
When I got home my sister asked me why I had one work boot on the roof rack 🙄😂

Do you like to sing?

Yes I enjoy singing and I especially like singing background harmony whether it be 4 part harmony, 3 part or 2 part. I've always found 2 part harmony to have less constraints because you have more freedom to pick and choose harmonies without conflicting with other harmony lines being sung.
That was until I heard the following duet where their harmonies, in my opinion, are nicely arranged with complex counterpoint. The harmonies their two voices produce is a blessing and something that I will never get tired of listening to. Excellent work! /Alex

How do you balance work, relationships, and self-care?

Funkyali’s Profile PhotoMuhammad Zargham Ali
I prefer to organise and prioritise my tasks and responsibilities according to their significance. Often times it works, but occasionally it doesn’t. It’s normal if sometimes, one or a few things in our life take dominance over the others. We’re only human and there’s only so much we can do.

What is the one good thing that you can do each day to make someone around you happy and to make the world a better place?

I don’t do much but I just try to say nice stuff whenever I can, you look good today, nice work, and stuff like that, I hope that this makes at least one person’s day better 💞

What is your favorite random fact?

Things that help me stay mentally well I always follow:
1. Never check someone's message after waking up because if the person you are expecting doesn't give you the message or phone you will feel bad that it will affect your all-day work so avoid it!
2. See the dawn at least one day a week! Enjoy the morning it will make you better!
3. When the mind is very restless, walk for ten minutes and count the steps of your feet while walking, it will calm your mind down a bit!
4. Sent greetings to someone every day, it will remove your pride!
5 . Learn to accept people's criticism, insults, and pressure. It will make your way easier!
6. Never try to prove yourself to others, you will lose both value and respect!
7. If you want to make a relationship unbreakable don't remember to say it when you are angry but stay away from someone who talks down to you in front of people!
8. Before making fun of someone, think about whether he will get hurt in the fun or not, your fun should not be the reason for other people's crying!
9. Never say anything about someone without knowing because sometimes it is difficult to talk without understanding!
10. Use your time for good work, time will make you respected and valuable!
11. Always speak looking into the eyes of the people, try to understand the language of the eyes from the language of the mind!
12. Stop expecting from others! Because if you don't expect from him, you will be upset, so always expect from yourself!
13. Never want to be like another!
14. Try to control your anger! When excessively anger lies in bed or drinking a glass of water will reduce your anger!
15. Watch a motivational story or video every day, it will make you interested!
16. At the end of the day, you will make a list of how many lies you are telling, what subject you are angry with, how much time you are wasting, and whether you are talking down on someone or not, the next day you will remove the reasons one by one from this list. After a few days, you will see that you will not have these problems anymore!

What are you the most passionate about? Like something that you could talk about endlessly? 🤩💬

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
My husband/friends/colleagues describe be as a Passionate person. I guess I just believe in giving my 100% in whatever I do. It can be a simple thing - but I prefer to do it with a certain degree of standard you know? Soemthing I'm just natural at :')
I guess more applicable for serious work related matters.
Hehe

What do you think about a guy who doesn't want to show me his face is he insecure on how he looks ?

Not necessarily, although that is one possibility.
Another possibility is that he is setting a personal boundary to protect his self interests. For example, while he might enjoy communicating online, he might not want the relationship to escalate into a romantic one. There are many reasons why men do not want their photo displayed on the internet i.e. wife, girlfriend, friends, parents, work associates or potential privacy and security issues. /Alex

> Why are so many people online against talking to children? I always see on here and other socials people with things like “adults only” “18+ only” “minors do not interact” “no minors” etc. In their bio. No, I’m not a child, I’m a whole adult. Just curious

"Death Of The Soul" by Alex (Part 2)
Now before the reader accuses me of being paranoid (which I am) let me state unequivocally that many men I work with (young and old) behave the same way. Why? Because we know that if a woman makes a false allegation against us, our life is over. And this is why many adults refuse to associate with teens and other young people unless other adults are present. It breaks my heart that we live in a world that is so perverted and corrupt, but that is our reality. It is what happens when God is rejected and the soul dies.

Why is physical attraction more common in society, than emotional, mental and spiritual?

Because physical appearance is easily visible to eyes, whenever someone walks by we see them physically and we judge whether they are good looking or not acc to our preferences. But seeing someone emotionally, mentally, spiritually takes lots of efforts, time and energy. And for that heart is required, not eyes. Those features are intangible and hidden inside us. And because it's too much work people usually avoid investing that much energy on that, and choose to be with someone just by judging them physically. And such relationships end quickly because deep down what we all really want is emotinal connection, and when it lacks they realise they are with wrong person. Finding emotinal connection seems difficult and in reality it's even much more difficult, that's why it's rare. After a certain age everyone's beauty and hotness is going to fade, what remains is emotional intimacy, people realise this but a little late I guess.
It's easy to be intimate with someone physically, but having emotional intimacy with someone is nothing else but complete राहत to our soul❤️

Have you ever done accounting? Like being involved in profit and non profit organizations? If so, what's your view of that work?

Great question... but I am not sure you will like my answer. I perform basic accounting in my personal life in the sense that I balance the family budget and ensure all debits are paid in a timely manner. Also, I prepare my own taxes, although I loath doing so partly because I do not like counting beans and justifying my expenses and also the fact that I have to pay tens of thousands of dollars in taxes every year to fund government programs I detest like Open Borders, Abortion and insane wars that deeply offend me. One last thought, out of all the courses I studied in college I disliked accounting the most because it required that I account and record every penny I spend which is not in my DNA. I enjoy living in the present moment too much to be worried about pennies spent having fun. /Alex

have you ever encountered bullying at work

zactc’s Profile Photozack vaughan
Nope although I've never worked somewhere like retail, office jobs or customer service where bullying seems prevalent. I am hoping I never encounter it in my current line of work cause I'd ban a client from booking in with either of us if they were to be bullying or downright rude. What about yourself?

I'm drunk and have work in 5 hours. What should I do?

What are your thoughts on investing in stocks? Have you done it before?

Yes. I am a self-employed day trader. Investing / speculating is my primary source of income. As part of a long-term investment strategy, stocks are an excellent option. I prefer the DJIA for stability. I have been doing it for less than a decade and there is plenty of work involved (mostly research) but I don't mind because I am completely insane and I hardly ever sleep. 🤪 In all seriousness, you have to do your homework and expect setbacks. Fortunes are rarely made overnight. If ever. Start small. As early as possible. Tiny incremental gains from investing in stocks and other securities can put you on a road to financial independence and when you become familiar with the markets (and their movements), you will learn more about the world than you could imagine. The wealth between one's ears is more valuable than the wealth in one's pockets. However, empty pockets have never fed anyone.

The stress released a bit from his muscles, that satiation of getting a serving of adrenaline finally got under control... he felt relaxed... and a winner, of course.
⠀❝—If yer dyin' for a rematch, y'know where find me! I'll be lookin' forward to it.❞
He picked up his jacket from the floor aswell, forced to make a face— sure, he had completely forgotten about the shoulder injury; he was going to have to work on it. It wasn't a big deal, but, couldn't just leave it like that.
The one-eyed man nodded his head and wave a gloved hand in a farewell gesture. Majima supposed there would be nothing more to talk about.
Turning his back on her, headed back to his headquarters.
