what do u think about the terrorist attacks in paris?
I really try to be openminded and not just tolerant, but accepting of people from different ethnicities and religious backgrounds. I'll be the first to admit that I say things that point otherwise and it probably doesn't help my case but I really don't like to be a jerk about things that are out of someone's control or just about anyone's beliefs. However, I find it difficult to see eye to eye with a lot of Muslims. It isn't that I don't like Muslims or that I'm against Islam as a religion. It isn't that I think all Muslims are terrorists. I've read passages from the Qur'an, enjoy the company of Islamic friends, and have even talked to an old man who turned out to be a Mujahideen veteran from the Soviet-Afghan war. Never met anybody more polite than him. What I find the most unsettling is that Islamic leaders and figureheads don't denounce these acts of terrorism when they happen. They don't really go out of their way to establish their boundaries against atrocities and it seems at times as if they condone these actions of jihad.Call me a biased Christian but if someone were to commit a crime like this in the name of Christianity or Catholicism, Pope Francis would be the first to call them out on it. Don't even try calling out "The Crusades" as an example of Christian atrocities anymore. That happened so long ago it really isn't even immediately relevant anymore. Nobody knows anyone that died in the Crusades. Heck, Nobody's grandpa knows anyone that died in the Crusades. Now, take this with a grain of salt, don't go pointing fingers at Islamic folks and start calling them names or any of that sort of stuff, it's not cool. That French magazine didn't publish a lot of cool stuff either and they were constantly writing homophobic, misogynistic, racist, and of course, anti-Islamic articles. Sure they have their freedom of speech, but with freedom of speech comes RESPONSIBILITY.I heard the perpetrators of the attack have been caught and justice will be served, so there's that. What do I think about the terrorist attacks in Paris? It's a display of Darwinism, that's what I think.
