Because there's no physical connection between both partners

I think it's easy

I'll give 5 reasons I think
1. Communication level/quality decreases big time
2. It's harder to trust someone you've either never met or who's not there all the time anymore
3. Not as much effort from at least 1 party
4. One or more parties gets bored
5. Lack of physical connection or diminishing physical connection.
