I was implying that other people might help me out. No offense, but I doubt any regular gmcer is doing anything close to the level of sophistication I'm adapting. I've made entire data structures in game maker. Not the built in ones. From /scratch/. No joe shmoh could help with converting /that/.

Oh and I mostly wanted to ask for permission mainly because I was told by Lukasmah that not everyone that wrote stuff /wanted/ me to take over. He, himself, was actually against me writing an ending, specifically because he might choose to add stuff down the road. He /still/ never finished his stuff

Well in that case I won't upgrade right now, because I'm already set up, it works, and I don't want to have to convert that much code right now. If my game continues the way it's going, there's no reason I shouldn't be able to ask for minor help converting the main framework (if it doesn't port).

I will say one last thing, though, Nintendo Nightmare faaaar more out of proportion than people said. I only ever posted about it in game topics. True Valhalla was just a big headed mod at the time. I am glad he got demoted. Where is that rich kid now anyway?

Look man, I'm not trying to be rude. It's just that I'm irked that off-topic was closed with no notice of any kind. It's irritating, especially when people tell me everything is trasferred and then I notice stuff missing. It's highly aggravating. Sorry if I take it out on you sometimes.

That is fine, but I still need to transfer the writing, and there's nothing wrong with me being in favor of a gmc archival if it gets me access. It's my opinion. I stated it. No need to be rude about it. XD

I wasn't talking about the archival, I'm also (sort of) in support of that, I was talking about asking people for permission.

I never specifically asked or was told I could rewrite old stuff. I was merely given permission to add new content farther along. Hence the novel and some more further along things. For instance I may as well say that "World War T" will later on be a thing as well as the pastset Mark Overmars story.

Well the glitch can be used to transfer data between save files. You can make a game in the lite version that is fully modable and can allow mods to be transferred... I rest my case. It's not just cool. It's bloody fricken awesome.

To an extent. A larger portion will be stuff I've come up with to add in, but yes... This is what I've doing all along with duck cult. To be fair, I even have a prequel in mind. /That/ would be a fully original story, although to be fair little of mine are derivative other than being in-universe.

I don't really see how this is any different to what you're already doing... why do you need permission?

Apparently GM does not save and sound data about what is playing through its default save system. It also does not alter it when loading a save file. The immediate implicative uses are... Brilliant. One can easily detect if a save has been loaded with... Maybe 5 lines of code.

It's two fold. One is to move the missing stuff over. The second is just completely rewrite the whole story in a continuous more novel-like version rather than a series of short stories. I'm really not concerned with the gmc that much. I have plenty of content I can do. I just need the old stuff.

I think this has already been addressed, back in August. No one really cares what you do, so long as you don't remove what writing they've already done... And since you can't change the stuff on the GMC, it doesn't matter too much, right? :P

I told you why, but whatever. All I want is a dang backup, and maybe you posting your comics publicly would be nice. Other than that I literally couldn't care less 'bout the gmc. I just want the damn writing so I can get it assembled where people can read it properly. (Plus a remake would be good)
