How did you study for hcl o's
Going to use this as an excuse to slack off from studying bc let's be honest no studying is happening anyway
HI THERE okay this is seriously important because I think hcl Os and freaking changed my life like not because I got a sudden appreciation for chinese but okay let me tell you this story of how essentially I studied my face and bones and body off for normal chinese like legit everyday of the Frking June Holidays my grandfather insisted on giving me like 2h of chinese tuition a day I kid you not and okay he was very dedicated love him muchness but also it was so tiring and I died and that was just for the motha oral which I choked anyway and got like a merit so f me but basically I studied really excessively hard like endlessly ENDLESSLY in sec3 and then in the end I got like a b3????? and I was just in intensive depression and I was like okay I'm done with you MOTHER TONGUE GTFAWAY ungrateful fool but then because O levels they always give you like so much time for chinese so I was like okay let me relaxsively study you and basically what I did was study in a proper way like instead of trying to memorise a shit ton of good phrases I tried to improve like my basic chinese writing style so that it sounded less disjointed?? Like I read a lot a lot of essays and took note/copied down like the simple words like there's no point in trying to memories phrases you don't even understand and therefore can't use but if you learn like slightly more complex (okay they're actually damn simple but they're complex to me bc my standard is like a negative 90323) and master those then you can just casually slip them in to your essay like good connector words to link up your argument well and stuff!!! Because basically I was aiming for like a pass so I just wanted an UNDERSTANDABLE ESSAY and like essentially because we can't compete with chinese scholars/people who are actually good at chinese the only way people like me (and I'm assuming you if you're asking for advice from a noobass like moi) can score is by the merit of our arguments like just having good thoughts and insights about the topic. So like what I did also was write a few essays like I think 3 hahahahah cause lazy and no time but basically pick relatively tough topics and actually write A GOOD ESSAY with like referring to other essays of a similar theme and picking out thematic vocab and stuff but with your own argumentation (you can plan it out in english first) and then I let my lao shi mark it and give me feedback and I asked her how to improve and stuff then I wrote another one actually I think I might only have written 2 lolllll. Then for close passage tbh that one I just guessed every single shit and compre do a lot of practices and actually read/understand the answer scheme actually don't even waste your time doing practices just underline the answer then read the answer scheme and you will learn much about answering techniques ya truly. And in the end I got a2!!!!!!! surprise! party! woo
