What is your perspective on bio engineering and humans integrating with machines? I see it as something wholly unnatural and dark, yet many people don't mind or even desire for that future. I have a feeling that their desire is coming out of a materialistic and nihilist mindset.
I agree it’s something to not take lightly. I accept the use of technology to return the human body to a normative state (i.e skin grafts for burn victims, regenerating organ tissue). But I’m leery of attempts to “evolve” via machinery. It may further take us away from the gravitational center of being close to our natures/Nature—a distancing we’re already suffering from greatly. Though admittedly I haven’t studied the proposed “machine merging” in depth.
