Do you think it's inappropriate to ask someone how much money they make if you're not close? Only reason I'm curious about their salary is because I want to apply for that job too.
I did that once, and they looked at me like I was absolutely crazy, so I would say yes it’s probably considered inappropriate. In my defense, I was a minor, but he was still really offended. 😅
