sorry no i ment do you think it right for someone to give you a sex talk when you told them your bi or gay?
Sorry I misunderstood. In a perfect world, sex ed wouldn’t be a taboo subject, and all sexualities would be covered. Unfortunately that’s not how things are. I was definitely not ready for the sex and childbirth videos in school, but had to endure them. I don’t know what other choice there is there. If referring to a general conversation outside of an educational setting, you aren’t required to have sex conversations at all, and you may want to be more firm with the talker about that. I realize that’s easier said than done and possibly not helpful. What I can definitely recommend is a school-based or other professional counselor who can better advise you based on your specific circumstances.
The bottom line is that everyone should have a general understanding of all sexualities and sex. Some of it won’t apply to you, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be a part of learning. The main issue is that people want to bend you to their will and want you to share their opinions. That’s where you draw the line. Take the facts for what their worth, use them or simply file them away as a necessary evil. Then do whatever is right for your life otherwise.
