this is a reply to "what is your general strategy when you play.. You. Are.THE BEST. I'll keep all of this in mind next time i head out to a fest tyty. Do you think samus' should keep a far distance from an opponent so they can use missles/super wd mindgame, or stay in ftilt range and be semi-aggro?

No problem and thanks :)
You should do both. You gotta mix it up. If you're winning, your opponent doesn't have a choice but to approach you. So make it a bit uncomfortable by shooting some missiles. When they close in, if you have good footsies, you can bait approaches or see an approach ahead of time and punish. If you feel you're in a bad spot and you don't wanna up-B outta shield when the person attempts to hit you, you can leave a bomb on the ground while moving back and it can probably stop their approach. Then safely try to get away. If you're losing, then don't try to rush in without a plan. I like to shoot a missile and then wavedash to close in but not too close because whenever you get close, your opponent will try to intercept your approach and punish you before you can do anything else, even shield. Punishing with fair if someone is on a platform is good. It racks good damage if you connect the whole thing and you can follow up quickly with a Dsmash or Dtilt, unless they were crouch canceling. If you're on the ledge and you fair your way in and it connects, you can follow up like I said about connecting fair on the platform. If they catch on or you think they might, you can mindgame them after the fair and do a grab. Since they will be blocking because they expect an attack, especially if they crouching the fair. Certain matchups you should be more semi-aggro than keep a far distance and vice-versa.

Why choose samus as a main?

She's super fun to play with and can be so creative in the way one plays her! Mad tricks with bombs, super wavedashes, extender, missiles, etc. Her wavedashes allows her to move around the stage so smoothly. She's kinda like a Street Fighter-ish character where you have to have good positioning and poke well with jabs, tilts, etc. In addition, she's good to use in matches like Ice Climbers. Samus is one of ICs worst matchups.

Yo! First of all, good luck at ROM. Second, you mentioned once on stream that one of the people you trained was The Moon. How did that start? Did he ask you? Did he know you beforehand? Was it free training? Do you still train people? Is THAT training free?

Thanks! I did well but not good enough for me. Yes, The Moon is one of the people I still continue to train. D1 told me about him awhile back and how he wanted to get better. So he came through to my house and he became my apprentice since then. He knew about me beforehand. His training was definitely free lol. I still train people (including my active apprentices) and its free. Although there's still some priorities I gotta straighten out before I go all out training mode for the world. Pretty much everyday I'm answering people's questions and helping them out as much as I can when they seek advice from me via Twitter/FB.

yo, saw you at two tournaments this past month. you played damn well, props. but it felt like you were mad unapproachable. like sort of closed off and not willing to really get into conversations w/ ppl. were those just bad days? i only ask because you're mad helpful/friendly on twitter and here :)

Thanks :) I'm actually really approachable lol. I'm usually having convos with people all the time, especially at big tournaments. You probably caught me at a bad time or I was really tired. This past Sunday's tournament I was super exhausted the whole time since I didn't get any sleep. I even took a nap during the tournament waiting for my next match lol. Its funny because someone asked me on here that I'm one of the few pros thats actually approachable lol. Thanks for the kind words! I'm definitely a friendly person and down to help people :)

what is your mindset on the neutral game

While I'm fighting my opponent, I'm paying close attention to the person's playstyle. Seeing how they're approaching me, the kind of setups that person likes to go for, recoveries, habits, etc. So I'm running around doing safe moves, dash dancing, shooting some lasers (if I'm Fox) while I'm gathering info. From there, I've absorbed good info to punish my opponent better and get punishes and followups easier during the neutral game.

Is your favorite rpg chrono trigger? Its mine

Nope. Its one of my favorites tho. My favorite RPG and game of all-time period is Super Mario RPG!

What is the last thing you said to someone?

You just let him die. (My friend, The Moon, playing Chrono Trigger in my house lol.)
