What are your thoughts about Rivals of Aether?

I haven't honestly spent a lot of time with the game, but from my initial times messing with it, it feels very unorthodox. A lot of moves simply don't make sense. It's not really anything like Melee or Sm4sh. :/

What's the best way to practice SDI?

Allow an Ice Climber player to freeze glitch your character and get them to hit you with aerials or smash attacks. Tap the stick while in hit-stun to move your character slightly in any direction. :3

Any estimate on when a new netplay build is coming? Either I'm stupid or I can't find a download for an older version for me to play with until a new build comes out, and would really love to have a download for the latest version. Thanks for the time you invest into this project and good luck. c:

I'm not quite sure to be honest, there's been a bunch of ups and downs with it. It seems like as soon as we finish something we think we can make it better and/or keep adding things which takes time. That said, when the build is released it will be full of tons of stuff so get hyped! :3
(Btw, I converted and added IE's extended name tags code today, so in the next build you'll be able to create and wear 8-character name tags from the name entry screen! There's lots more to be done, but keep an eye on my twitter for more updates.)
Regarding an older version, there is one available but it's obsolete and very buggy in comparison to the next build. I advise you to ignore the old build. :P

Omega FD or RIOT
Okay for real I think Pilotwings, Wuhu Island, Skyloft, and Kongo Jungle 64 are all viable CPs.

favorite and least favorite characters in sm4sh?

Favorite: Villager because she's a psychopathic killer and Olimar with all his improvements design wise from brawl.
Least Favorite: Probably Young Link because they made his dair a commitment and Ganondorf. Sakurwhy... ;_; #ForeverLowTier

yeah it's just not great practicing with spawns that don't exist is all.

Originally I felt the same way, but since netplay teams matches are almost non-existent I threw it in for the sake of 1v1 matches.

The code does force spawns that don't really exist in teams, but that's not really a bad thing. The way the code works is it figures out what port both/all players are in and assigns them to a pre-determined spawn location on the map.
Most of the spawn positions for 1v1s were taken from the APEX website when the code was written, so they should be perfect. Of course, if anything bad happens (which it won't), you could always elect non-neutral spawns LMAO

Not with the way it's implemented right now, but why would you not want it on for tournament matches?

How come you take me to BF so much even though it's bad for you in the matchup? (RIP the only reason I was able to beat you)

Well yeah BF is Icies worst stage and one of Marth's best. (It's even better in the MU than Yoshi's since at Yoshi's both Icies and Marth can abuse the platforms and on BF only the latter can.) I play BF a lot on netplay for a bunch of reasons:
1. It doesn't lag for like anyone on netplay. :P
2. When i'm playing online I find it easy to fall into routines and just start to play somewhat casually. I can't do that on battlefield, especially against Marth. On BF Icies have no room to breathe and matches get cray cray.
3. I think that by playing on BF so much I'm able to do even better on other stages. If I train myself to always expect something that's somewhat BF-specific and that thing happens on another stage, I already know what to do to counter it. I like to play the worst stage for Icies because it gives me a lot of practice for the MU in general. I know what you want to exploit and why.
3. The music on that stage is DA BES.
