Who do you think the devils will get at the deadline
Tough to single out one guy confidently but I think Matt Moulson and Mike Cammalleri are a couple of options.

I'd accept that. Sidney Crosby is the best player in the trade and the team that gets the best player usually wins the deal. It is close, though. Patrick Kane's a beast.
I feel like the Devils are lacking a bonafide scorer to make some noise in the playoffs. Thoughts?
I think they could be a good sleeper team as is, but I'd be ignorant to pretend they couldn't use some more help offensively. A scoring winger like Matt Moulson would be a big boost for them.

Do you think the Devils system hinders scoring?
Not at all. I think Pete DeBoer's system does a great job of getting the most of the talent on the roster. They get plenty of chances and often out chance their opponent, they just struggle to finish. That's on the player personnel, not the system.
Do you think Zidlycky gets traded at the deadline? he has value and is producing nicely
I don't see a scenario where Zidlicky is moved. He's playing some excellent hockey right now and moving him would put too much pressure on Gelinas, Merrill, etc. as rookies.
If the devils did make some sort of trade before the deadline what do you see as potential trades?
I don't expect them to do too much, but I figure they're looking for some more scoring punch up front.
Trade in the works or just getting boucher more game time?
Could just want him to play more minutes leading up to the Olympic break so he's ready to go when it's over.
What is the perception of the devils organization from up north?
Same is everywhere else, I think. Slow, old, boring team that only cares about defense.
When do you project Lou to retire?
Honestly, I have no idea. For years now everyone has been speculating that said season could be his last. I think he's got a few years left in him. The job is his as long as he wants it so he may as well stick around if he's enjoying himself.
What do think about Brunner ? Will he have some pts and play more than 14m ?
He's a very talented player and his speed and skill is exactly what the Devils have been lacking up front. He won't play a ton, but he'll get his fair share of minutes and will see some power play time, so he'll have plenty of opportunity to produce.

If you have Steve cangelosi's contact please tell him to stop saying "gobbles up" all the time. Started about 8 games ago and he can't shake it. To make this a question, do you agree? If you don't get the MSG feed, what broadcast are you getting?
Haven't seen an MSG broadcast in at least couple weeks. Usually get the other broadcast.
With everyone healthy, I think they're more complete. However, the 8 man defensive thing and larsson in the minors doesn't sit well. Do you think they get that forward that puts them over the top? If so, who? Rental? Or proven scorer? Thanks Todd you're the best.
I think they'll be looking to add some scoring punch around the deadline, though if they can stay healthy the balance in their lineup might allow them to score enough to get into the playoffs.
In my perfect defensive 6 for next season I have Larrson, Gelinas, Merrill, Greene, Urbom and ? Who is 6th? Or who would your top 6 be in the most ideal situation? Basically I'm sick of old, slow veterans
Urbom probably won't be up. Figure they might re-sign Zidlicky and Salvador probably isn't going anywhere. I like Mark Fayne as well.

Thoughts on Salvador?
For the most part he's pretty good defensively and is good on the penalty kill, but he tends to be a little overused at times. I can see why, though. Pete DeBoer doesn't want the kids eating up all the tough minutes as rookies.
Larsson for evander kane? Do you do that?

Evander Kane, Jagr, and Zajac... how good does that sound for a 1st line
It sounds excellent, but I don't see the Jets moving Kane - right now, anyways. I think with Claude Noel gone Kane will be given a new opportunity under Paul Maurice and will be given time to figure things out.
Do you think the Devils prospect pool is as bad as people make it. From your posts it seems some of their guys are dominating their leagues.
It's not an overly deep system, but they're loaded on defense and they have a few quality forwards, too. Could improve up front but Boucher, Matteau, Kujawinski, Johnson, etc. isn't too bad.
I know it might sound crazy, but why not sit Henrique? Dude has done next to nothing this season. He's got 3 more goals than Janssen! Send the kid a message. This play is unacceptable
I think he's been OK. Hard to produce when you're playing wing on the top line one night, then centring the 3rd line the next with two different players.

I think they may be interested, but it'd take NHL player + a couple of Merrill/Severson/Boucher/Matteau.
How much longer till we realize that the low team SH% is not going to improve just because of their strong possession play? Their 6-year (2007-13) 5v5-Close SH% is 7.06%, which ranks them 28th in the NHL, above only FLA and NYR. What gives?? System? Personnel?
Think it's more so personnel than system, but both definitely factor in.
Are there any sites that provide advanced stats for leagues such as the OHL, WHL, etc?
McKeen's made a small database for that stuff last year but I'm not sure they updated it this year.
Is Boucher here to stay?
If he plays like he did tonight he won't be going anywhere. No need to rush him, though. If he shows signs that he's not ready he'll be sent back.
