What if a good deed is followed by a bad consequence? What if doing a good job isn't always good? e.g. You help an old lady to cross the street, only for her to get hit by a car, and if you hadn't helped her, she would've took her time and the car would've passed her by.

Well pretty much it's like you help someone with an good intention but the result can lead to it being bad as a human being showing sympathy and empathy plays a role in our circumstances. For example you offer a seat to an elderly and they get offended and think your trying to imply something. You can't always assume good things happen.
