Why do people lie?
in most cases - to get out of situations regardless whether it's more of a positive or negative approach.
Other cases may be for social status that is to hide what is truly happening to one. an example would be lying to everyone that your fine but deep inside you're suffering. Everyone has their reasons behind the lie.

If you want to have that shiny effect - you can go for a delustered satin or spandex or semistretch cotton etc.
I'm not really good with fabric shopping but I can only advise to check different spotlight stores or ring them up >_<;;; Sorry!! all the best!
