No it's not. If you don't rinse it fully or properly then it wont smell. If your hair still smells like egg then it has egg in it still, pretty self explanatory. I don't ever have issues with it, if you have problems with it then maybe you should use shampoo.

It DOES remove dirt and oils (just not the natural oils your hair produces that benefits your hair... No one wants that to be stripped away) Your hair won't feel oily at all and it will feel soft and super clean
