how has your writing developed over the past year? happy new year's eve!!

so i don't think my writing has developed as much this year, because i've been doing it a lot on and off, but in a general whole, the content has matured a lot. if i look at some of my stuff from 2015, it's all light and fluffy, and i was able to wield it well. now, in 2016 (almost 2017) it's no longer my forte - i'm all dark and thriller and action, no longer romance and comedy. hopefully, when my writing develops, i'll be able to revisit those again!
