When it comes to romance, whose idea of what is romantic matters most - the one giving or the one receiving? Why?

Bufferkiller’s Profile PhotoThe Bufferkiller
The hopeless romantic one? Haha. Which is mostly likely the one giving it (on the psychology that we treat others the way we want to be treated), but what if the person merely does it because that's what pleases his/her partner? Ahhh.. really difficult to form a conclusion on people's behavior at face value for every situation can be complex if you really think it through.

Do you think one gender is more romantic than the other? If so, why? How do you decide what is and is not romantic in the eyes of someone else?

Bufferkiller’s Profile PhotoThe Bufferkiller
People of the same gender can still have different ideas /conception of romance or what is romantic, vice versa and so gender alone has nothing to do with it. However, if you include culture/upbringing in the mix, it might influence it, being gender roles a social construct. In an equal society though, no gender should be deemed more romantic than the other.

If you happen to meet your 18 year old-self in a parallel universe, what would you tell him/her?

In a parallel universe?? Hmm.. Perhaps along the lines of "I hope you turn out better over there". That is on the assumption that what happened to the "me" or what's happening to me in this universe has nothing to do with her in that universe. Unless everything is pre-destined and we can not will ourselves against anything that I'd feel compelled to tell her what happened to me 10 years later in this universe? I am complicating this question. hahaha.

Who is your favorite Star Wars character?

R2!!!!!!! :) I'd trust him (or it) with my life! Not to discriminate against protocol droids like 3PO. More Star Wars question please. :)

Are you able to ignore and/or delete questions that are: harassing, trolling, goading, argumentative, creepy/overly sexual, or otherwise pointless? If so, why do you think so many people on here can't help but answer them. If not, what about these kinds of "questions" compels you to answer them?

Bufferkiller’s Profile PhotoThe Bufferkiller
I can't speak for other people's sensibilities, I can only speak for mysef. I am here mainly to amuse myself and it will take a lot to infuriate me or for me to get offended or feel harassed. Having said that, I will most likely answer all kinds of question or line of questioning and will just let my creativity come through whenever I deem the question somewhat stupid or appalling therefore overturning the prior emotion of disappointment into something delightful on my part.

Can't wrap my head around the idea. Can't imagine it as a commodity. Sorry man. =/

Describe your sex life with movie title?

The "Before" trilogy by Richard Linklater. Jk. :)) I wish! But my sex life is nonexistent at the moment, gf is in another country. :( I guess the most apt title then is "The Hunger Games"?

What do you read when you are inlove? And what do you read when they do not love you back?

Hmm.. I wish I can say Pablo Neruda when I'm in love, Sylvia Plath when they don't love me back. Hahaha. But that's not true (though I can make it true). To be honest, my feelings doesn't affect my reading habits? At least I don't notice that it does. There are times I am in the mood to read poetry, there are times I am in the mood to re-read classics, for no reason at all. It's more of what music or album/s I listen to when I am in love and what I listen to when they don't love me back. Haha. ;-) You wanna know?

I try to do something I'm bad at every day. Earlier tonight it was juggling, yesterday morning it was playing guitar, this weekend it will be painting, and in about 20 minutes it will be singing on my way home. http://thebufferkiller.blogspot.com/2014/05/I-would-rather-be-a-failure.html

Cool. When was the last time you did something you're good at and enjoyed it? :) What was it /were they? I won't accept an answer telling me you're not good at anything. ;p Will read your blog after work. ;-)

When was the last time you enjoyed doing something you knew you'd fail at? What was it?

Bufferkiller’s Profile PhotoThe Bufferkiller
When I was in college I joined a beauty pageant when I learned my crush was joining. I already knew I won't win, I'm no beauty queen material. Hahaha. I just want to know her and be able to spend time with her. We became good friends after. (P.S. I've never told her about my feelings. I was still in the closet that time plus she's straight. I've outgrown those feelings anyway eventually).
That's all I can come up with right now. I can't remember anything recent. Which is kinda sad don't you think.
Can you answer your own question? :)

When and how would you know it's time to end up what you stand for?

Butterfliespaint’s Profile PhotoFatima Timpac Haramain
When the things you once stood for no longer rings true to your heart? A realization can be triggered by a series of experiences or events and how they impact one person to another varies and therefore has no exact formula.

How do you usually express your emotions?

I normally don't (at least not being vocal about it). I think I tend to be good at hiding emotions in general? I mean, I may express some form of emotions outside but that's not what I truly feel inside. And I open up to a few close friends lang ganyan. And sometimes, I don't open up at all to anyone and keep things inside (especially those that matters the most) until it's resolved. Lots of introspection. Sabi nga: "There are two reasons why people don't talk about things; either it doesn't mean anything to them, or it means everything." It is true in my case. ;-)

If someone keeps saying he is depressed & keeps hinting that he wants to kill himself & yet is still alive & seem to be leading a happy, normal life, is he really depressed or just KSP? It's getting to be so annoying how he keeps saying he's depressed. He doesn't seek professional help either.

We can't tell. A professional might. Just put your best foot forward na lang dealing with these type of people or any type of people for that matter. :)

Disregard my recent question, that was not even a question. Do you wanna swing from the chandelier? Why not?

Does love sweeter the second time around?

If both of you have not gotten over your feelings for each other, have realized why things did not work out the first time around and are now ready to give it a second try then I suppose it will be.
