I'm tired of being a good person but I feel like the world needs good people. Is there a bad side to saying no and not always being dependable?

Never stop being the person you are, your experiences made you this way. Try to keep in mind what people are in your life to actually be there for you and which ones are there just enjoying the ride. It is important to keep a strong circle of friends. Don't stretch yourself too thin for others that wont go to the same lengths for you, it is okay to help out and want to be courteous but it is not okay being taken advantage of. Set boundaries with these people in your life and let them know when they are overstepping them. If you are truly friends they wont have any issues hearing you out and being understanding.

There are so many orgs on campus that I want to join but I'm not sure if I have time for them all, what should I do?

Getting involved around campus is a great way to build your resume and your reputation. However getting involved into too many extra curricular activities can hinder your grades. It is a good idea to choose an org that is beneficial towards your GPA/major so the time you are committing won't effect whats most important. When it comes to the process of actually narrowing down what you want to join outside of academics think about what is most important, the mission of the org, how it fits into your daily schedule, and what overall knowledge you will gain from committing your time and money to this organization. Keep in mind of the bonds and connections you hope to make, not just joining to say you're apart of it.

My professor is stressing me out. She doesn't make sense when she explains the topics and she's not committed to her office hours. What do I do? I'm afraid I'll fail my class and I've already been to the tutoring center.

You have a plethora of options here. One you could honestly just go ahead and talk to your professor after class. Express to him or her that you've made multiple attempts to see them, because you are very confuse during the lecture. Sometimes professors just need to be put in check. They may assume that nobody ever comes to their office hours anyhow , so they don't take that time seriously. Also it's vital to connect with your classmates. Start a group chat where you guys can plan times to meet up and study. Sometimes it's easier to have things explain from a peer than the professor. Lastly, I would suggest to connect online. Go make a tweet or a post asking anyone who's had this particular professor or class and see what they did to get through it. Don't stress. The school year has only just begun. Stay optimistic and keep pushing through.
