so... chanbaek as an otp at first glance is like two peas in a pod. they are a matching kind of otp, a duo of chaos buuut i have thoughts about them individually that lead me to believe that they are not matching and instead are more complementary. chanyeol is a very confusing person for me... often i find myself conflicted about whether or not going to modern krn high school looking the way he did fucked him up and if he's genuine. chanyeol is EXCESSIVELY camera aware, like up to a point where i think as soon as the camera is off he must be exhausted and i wish i had a better understanding of exhausted, not-idol chanyeol so i could say more fervently what chanyeol's role in chanbaek is. baekhyun, as i think i've touched on before, doesn't exactly have the same relationship that most of the other k members share. that isn't to say i don't think he isn't close to them now; i'm sure he's VERY close to them now. looking at his pre-debut stuff he's clearly someone who is fun and v funny, gets along well and easily with others but is he someone who volunteers his info? i'm not sure! also i see baekhyun as someone who is mature and might keep things inside and i wanna say chan might be unintentionally insensitive or tactless but willing to fix it but that feels too shallow and this characterization could EASILY be switched.

so how i feel about them currently: i do think they were made really uncomfortable during mama because of how popular their ship was and i also think that they've exhausted the ship. baekyeol went fucking hard for a YEAR and i wouldn't be surprised if that constant pressure put a strain on what they have. that kind of shit will affect how you see each other i think, at least in the beginning. i do also believe that since they've gotten to know each other even better that they are kind of... not as close? or at least not in that same super obvious affectionate as they were before. lately there hasn't been a lot of interaction between them which i think is a result of their clashing schedules like they lit have not been on the same shows in awhile? but i think open up the stage to exo-k focused activities and i can say with much certainty that chanbaek will b alive n well. just gotta get that opportunity again (LIKE THEIR SHOW)
