this is kind of a weird question because my first impression of the boys is exactly what sm was trying to sell: softly erotic boys next door? and during showcase, i mean... i felt how they wanted me to feel about them, kai was sexy, lay was a super srs dancer, luhan was a frail soft pretty singer thing who could dance, tao was chinese, etc. + what is love video didn't do a whole lot for their personalities. but my first impressions of them were ehhhh more or less:
kai: jaejoong lookalike, why the fuck would sm do that ~always keep the faith~ db5k life
luhan: very young and pretty, probably 14 years old
sehun: super enormous older member, probably plastic bridge, most likely an asshole
kyungsoo: the English Speaker, looks vietnamese, hope he's tall, SUPER SEXY looking into cam, my fav
tao: excessively chinese (explanation here: http://ask.fm/taottoos/answer/104921365888 ) & too serious/conservative member (i very seriously told myself that there was no way i would ever like tao)
kris: very handsome like too handsome for me to like ever, probably plastic
suho: looks like a huge asshole, very attractive but nah im no masochist
xiumin: OTL i was like "ew short hair least fave bye"
baekhyun: looks the youngest, saw the canines. the incisors. v spunky @ showcase, like that towel thing
chanyeol: wow very cute tall skinny member, the prettiest, might be my fave, possibly chinese
lay: really chinese haircut, is probably not chinese b/c of that detail, looks chinese though
chen: very strong bone structure, probably older chinese member b/c main vocalist of m

hi nikki! at what age did you stop attending raves (assuming you used to attend raves lol idk if you did but just curious!) i’m a senior in uni graduating soon and i only got into raving this year.. i feel so old compared to everyone else since ppl my age have already retired from the scene :(

omg! im MONTHS late to see this but my last rave was dreamstate 2015! so i was.. 26! before that the last massive i attended was edc 2013! i don't know if u should feel "old" tho lmao bc im much older than u and ppl my age are still attending massives and going to shows.. people older than me too so idt u have to worry haha personally tho i havent attended any edm-centric stuff other than smaller shows at like lounges or clubs for awhile!

do american kpop concerts/fanmeets have a totally different vibe than other countries' concerts you've been to? i imagine they do but you word things so well so im just interested lol

it depends on what aspect tbh! depending on the concert (the budget i mean) organization, venue, fans, are all different. i reckon an important thing to mention is that concerts in la are very different from other states as well? i feel like in LA the fans tend to be a bit more relaxed; whether thats due to being spoiled n having faith the band will come back or what, i can't really be sure lmao. but yes! us concerts tend to be more deafening than japan's. i've only attended one concert in kr (dream concert 2013!) and for the most part the cheering happened as fanchants more than like the endless screaming at us concerts. i was fortunate enough to attend some concerts in the philippines (got7 fm 2015, wings mnl 2017) and i have to say the screaming is about the same, but i feel less ready to fight in the philippines than i do at home lmao.
BUT! to be specific abt jpn, yes everyone is seated and yes ppl only yell during the specified parts of each fanchant and during the parts where the members pause before they take their turn to say their part lmao. its a very relaxed and musical show but having grown up in the states i kind of like the feeling of getting lifted figuratively n literally at concerts lol. this is smth i realized gettin thrown around in the pit last week lmao.
the other interesting part abt jpn concerts is that tickets are by lottery! so u have to join the fc to join the lottery ofc, and u apply once at whatever location u want per lottery period. sometimes ur restricted to only a few shows per tour (like wings jpn! only two shows per fc member number ((which means i could still potentially scalp off sum1))). a few days after the lottery period is over, ur notified abt whether or not u won and ur payment is then accepted directly online or paid for in cash at a convenience store of ur choice. u don't find out where ur sitting until a week or two before the actual performance tho lmao meaning!!! yes, every single ticket costs the same, and yes, u have absolutely no control over where ur seats will b UNLESS u've scalped ur ticket for usually anywhere from 5 to 10 times the original price if it's after seating was announced (ex. epilogue '16: og price for all tickets $95.... paid $450 for floor seating. fanmeet: orig $85, purchased scalped tix before seating was announced for $120) i feel like that aspect has fans feelin a lot calmer cuz if u paid like $300 to be in pit by god ur gonna wanna make it worth ur time right!!

in all seriousness i dont know if i would rly do anythin too diff w either of them??? beach cruiser date, lunch date n dessert? or light dinner n drinks then a hiphop club or house lounge!!! or art gallery hop and a nice dinner w drinks ^^ or a cook-off at one of our places n anime/scathing kpop music reviews huhu. also bills on me for the food cuz it makes me NUTT. but also everythin i just mentioned is smth i would do w friends also!!! hmu haha

my hangover cure back home:
- chug a bottle of water and 1-2 advil gelcaps as soon as u wake up n try to go back to bread
- when u wake up find gatorade for electrolytes, avocado to minimize the acidity in ur stomach, and yogurt to.. idk i feel like havin some dairy helps me lol
- drink moreeeee water n lie down in the dark til the fog clears!
my cure now:
- drink a hangover drink before and after drinking
- wake up and drink the rest of whatever hangover drink u chose + advil gelcaps
- lots of water
- a simple porridge!
- jimin smiling compilations

forgive me if this has been asked b4..i couldnt find it in ur faq :/ but anyway just curious bt did u get to living in jpn/getting a job there? ive always wanted 2 live abroad.. however w college n getting a job n all idk where it could fit in n im afraid when i do get around 2 it it'll be too late!

my college buddy hooked me up w a job!!! if u have some previous xp and a degree its rly not that tough to get placed but its even easier if u have certification; a lot of my coworkers have the oxford one n were placed thru it. i dont have it tho and was also offered jobs in kr w/o it!
wrt livin abroad, im lucky to have traveled a little and to have been exposed to jpn culture b4 coming here so my culture shock was rly minimal, but also i think its just rly easy to move to jpn!! u can do it ^^
