Well, there are lots of things you can do:
Constantly remind them you're always there for them.
Constantly remind the that they're beautiful.
Remind them how important they are.
Send them texts every day if you can telling them how much they mean to you.
Hugs are helpful. Sometimes all someone needs is a hug. It always makes me happy when I get a hug. cx
Let them talk to you about how they feel. Maybe you don't even have to give them advice. Just having someone there to listen is a huge comfort.

I just lost one of my bestfriends. it confused me how it happened, I was talking to them one day and they randomly shut me down. I didnt say anything to cause a reason for them to be mad at me, but they told me to "stop fucking talking to them." we havent talked in awhile, and its getting to me now

I've had a friend say the same thing to me. He was going through a lot and just needed to think through some things on his own.
If you rush him/her when they're trying to cool down or get through something hard, it might take a little longer.
Just try your best to be there for your friend without pushing them to talk to you all the time.
A constant reminder that you're there for them is always a comfort.

You should be moving on from him, but he's keeping you around by flirting and sex which isn't healthy. Don't let a guy do this to you hun. Stop sleeping with him. You will be better off without him, or at least ust being friends with him. It's not right how he's still flirting with you and getting the privilage to sleep with you, when he doesn't call you his. If you're cool with being friends with benefits with him, then go for it. But honestly, it would be better to get out of the situation all together.
I watched a Dr. Phil episode today and it was on this girl who has been doing the same thing as you for nine years. Dr. Phil told her to get out of the situation because it's not healthy for her.
YOU deserve to be loved and treated like a fucking queen. Not whatever this guy is doing. You two both either need to move on or just be a couple. This inbetween stuff isn't good.
