Do you have a pick for the super bowl this season? or the nba championship? or any other sports championship?

I still really like the Seahawks, at least for the near future. Would love to see Golden State/Atlanta be the NBA championship, would be good for NBA fans, but we'll see if San Antonio/Cleveland has anything to say about that. I'll go with San Antonio again. For MLB, it's always a crap shoot due to injuries throughout a 162 game season, the structure of the playoffs. I know people are excited about the Cubs, but I just can't buy that, maybe next year. Maybe Detroit?

I've really enjoyed you playing shovel knight, ori, and meat boy. any chance for more blind indie game play throughs in the future?

sure, if they look fun. Dustforce might fit the bill.

Asa is a really interesting name. what is its origin?

My mother heard that name on one of her soaps, "One Life to Live", Asa Buchannan. She didn't like the character, but the name was good enough for child #4

Biggest surprise cuts for SGDQ in the past few days?

Really thought Rockman 4: BCAS had a chance. Link Between Worlds I thought would get a shot now that it's more developed and should make other communities worry about rushing their games into GDQ's in the games developmental stages, as it might be a few years until you get your next shot to show your polished project.

Have you watched any Animes and if you have what is your favorite?

not many. every few years, I'll find a popular series and watch, stuff like FMA. Cowboy Bebop is still easily my favorite watch.

Lets say the new KH or new Rayman came out tomorrow, how long would it take for you to start speed running it?

Assuming it's a good speed game, probably after I do a first playthrough, I would start looking into it. I like to keep my first playthroughs super casual before speed gaming.

I'm bummed that KH1.5 was rejected for SGDQ. The KH2.5 run was my favourite of AGDQ and it seemed to be pretty popular. What determines what games are rejected and accepted? Any chance you'll try to get 1.5 back in for AGDQ16?

We will. Doesn't surprise me it got rejected, we JUST got a 4 and 1/2 hour slot for AGDQ, despite having a good showing, there are too many other sub-sects of the speed running community that needs to see some love. Accepts/Rejects are based on ability to bring in donations/viewers, entertainment value as a speed watch, and from there, the committee wanted to throw bones to communities who have put a lot of work into their game, despite it might not being the biggest donation grabber.

What made you want to start Speedrunning Kingdom Hearts?

I liked beating games fast as a kid, in-game timers gave me an inspiration the same way many we're inspired by hi-scores or achievements/trophies today. KH2 presented (to this day) one of the friendliest multi-hour long speed games out there. in-game timer for the individual worlds, enemies rewarding you for understanding/reading their patters, and tools galore. Also, flashy as hell.

Are you done with TF?

nope, want a 1:32 any% and a better 100% time. taking a small break from it for now though.

is there a game you wanted to get into at one point but never really did?

any Classic Mega Man. 3 was the one I most wanted to run. I dabbled in 3/7/9 at different points, and didn't stick due to too much on my plate.

Which lets players did you watch on youtube before streaming was a thing??

never watched let's plays. nothing against them though, lots of good ones out there. Just wasn't my entertainment.

Do you miss the GDQ gory days knowing it will never be the same,at this point its jjust to big. We will never see things like teh urn dance again and you and trihex doing the fusion dance. AGDQ 2014 feels liek the last GDQ to have that sort of feel at all.

GDQ's are still super fun, maybe just because I'm on the other side of the camera. I think they're trying to improve the show/experience every year, So there's no reason future GDQ's can't have the same amount of fun, just maybe in a different way.

Is the acting business very difficult to get into?

If all you do is audition, yeah. Sometimes, you have to create your own art/tell your own story to make your voice heard.

How do you avoid burnout on a certain game? Every runner does it differently

Never force yourself to play a game. If it's not fun, this is a hobby for most, go run another game. I have multiple speed games, and I love them all. I can't remember the last time I really got "burnt out"

What is one game you want in a GDQ that you know will never have a chance?

I love Chrono Cross, will never get in. Everyone can say that about their favorite RPG.

Which GDQ was the least fun for you?

The ones where I was only there for a few days due to scheduling. you gotta be there for the whole event.

Ever think of going back to school and getting a teaching degree and try to become an acting professor at a college/uni

I've considered it, I've taught many acting classes as a guest "Teaching Artist" before. I'm good at it, but I like being on stage too much at this point in my life.

are you planning to compete for top times in those games?

Define "Top Times". My goal is to have good competent times, if they're WR, cool, if not, whatever. I guess you could say define "Good, competent". I want to feel I'm an expert at the game, and confidently could show case it to someone or somewhere.

Have you ever smoked weed? How was it? Still do it? Want to do it?

Yip. Was fun. I don't pursue it though.
