You all needa come to Kemper County we are making alot of noise
So I've heard! First 5-0 start for KC in a LONG time. That Philly game will be a BIG test for the Wildcats this week.
What's your opinion of Amory and the injuries they've had?
Debilitating and it's unfortunate. Losing Jon David Poss really hurt their offense. JDP was such a big part of Amory coming back this season with a new head coach. The way they've played in his absence has been nothing short of remarkable. Coach Ashley has done a great job with what he has because that team was littered with seniors last year.
Is this the best Louisville team you've seen since you've been covering? Counting the 07 & 08 teams..
I can't say about the '07 and '08 teams since I started in 2011, but I can tell you for sure this is the best Louisville team I've seen since I've been here the last 3 years. Honestly, they are close to being the best team that I've seen from our viewing area in my 3 years here. They are so good in so many spots.
They will definitely beat the Whippets, but Tyler Peterson who's the head coach at Kozy will have his team ready for the Wildcats. Louisville has the much stronger team, but Kosciusko will keep it interesting for a while.
I'm a student at #TheTach and we haven't had this much school pride in a long time! We accept everyone. We get along. It's perfect. Give em heck, Tachie Tech!
And I can see it and feel it. Granted, I've only been here for 3 years, I've never seen the excitement and enthusiasm surrounding the Mantachie football program like this. That's why I'm so pumped for our Spotlight Showdown to be there tomorrow!
It's gonna be a GREAT game tomorrow night! I can't wait to be at #TheTach. Really looking forward to watching Dakota Cruber and Dustin Carrell duel through the air.
It's gonna be a slugfest. Who's dual-threat QB will win, Bruce's Donta Armstrong or Amory's Fred Garth? That's the big question, because the defenses are gonna slug it out trying to stop the opponent's super star. Whoever gets ahead early will win.
Your opinion on last years Ashton Shumpert?
A man amongst boys. That's why he's getting looks as a true frosh for MSU. Dude was an absolute beast and has the potential to be a great back at State. He was a big reason why IAHS was unbeaten prior to Noxubee County.
My money is on Stringer. Tevin Moore is back and they return quite a bit of talent from their title winning team from last year. Lumberton has been everyone's pick from the start but they haven't showed it just yet. I'm not putting it past Noxapater to make a run. They have some unfinished business after last year.
So next week I am assuming you have WV over Charelston?
As of right now, yes. But boy it's gonna be a good one. I think EJ is gonna take them to victory over the Tigers. Charleston lost a TON from last year's team including Myers and Truly on the ground. They haven't looked like the same Charleston team from years past in my opinion. With the experience of WV, I think they do it this time around. They showed they can compete with them last year on the road.
State 1. Bassfield 2. Taylorsville 3. East Marion 4. Calhoun City 5. EuporaIn our area 1. Calhoun City (even with two losses, I think they're the most talented team in 2A in our area) 2. Eupora 3. East Webster 4. Bruce 5. Mantachie
Top 5 in 3A?
In the state? 1. Louisville 2. Hazlehurst 3. Water Valley 4. Seminary 5. CharlestonIn our area: 1. Louisville 2. Water Valley 3. North Pontotoc 4. Choctaw County 5. Aberdeen
What are your thoughts on the Smithville Seminoles?
I think they are quietly building a team to contend for the title in 1A. Really like Drew Lann at QB. He's been doing a great job at leading the offense. Their D may be better than their offense. I'm really interested to see how they deal with Falkner in division play. 1-1A comes down to the Noles and the Eagles in my opinion.
#thetach or #netty? What do you think is gonna happen Friday?
Man I am pumped for the game. Probably one of the only match-ups we'll see all season where the ball will be in the air more than on the ground. I honestly don't think I can pick either team right now. Both teams are skilled on offense and have plenty of players that can make plays in space. It's gonna come down to which defense can rise to the occasion.
Louisville loves you Robby!!!! Hey @WCBI give that hard working man a RAISE!!! Lol
I love you too! Can't wait to be back at Louisville for a game this year!
What do you think of Jeremy Sangster of Louisville? And why does he not have any offers!!
Unfortunately, Jeremy's size is scaring off major offers and that's a shame. He may be one of the best linebackers not just in the WCBI viewing area but also in the state. I've seen MANY great linebackers that aren't tall that go on to dominate in the NFL. The way I see it, this will only make Jeremy stronger as a person and he'll use that as motivation and as a chip on his shoulder. He's by far the best tackler in the state, and I have no doubts he will make it somewhere in football after high school.
I'm taking Heritage but it's gonna be a good one. Oak Hill is much-improved once again this year.
Who do you think will win oha vs heritage?
I like Heritage but if they can't slow down OHA's rushing attack, it could be a barn-burner.
Thoughts on heritage
I think they should repeat this year. The team they have this season may be even better than last year, if that's even possible. Really like Austin Fitch commanding that offense and they have so many weapons from Mordecai to Thatcher to Anderson, they can hang with anyone in AAA-II. Don't put too much stock in that JA game, they are a monster this season.
My personal thoughts on oak hill is their backfield is dangerous with that 3 headed monster of Drake and Drew Riley and Samuel Harrell. They believe down there
Agreed completely. I think Drake and Drew are the real deal, and Sam has some wheels. Gonna be tough to slow them down on the ground.
Chances of oak hill making a run at 2a title? They played 2 great games against tri county and Marshall both going down to the wire
They've got a great chance to make a run. Tri-County was a great measuring stick game and it showed the Raiders can compete with the best from MAIS AA. Sky is the limit for Oak Hill.
What are your thoughts on oak hill?
Daniel Merchant has done not just a good job, but a GREAT job at turning around that football program. Those kids believe in what he's doing there and I think they are a scary team to keep an eye on in MAIS AA. Drew and Drake Riley have tremendous potential at running back and they'll be a dangerous duo to stop the rest of the season.
Do you think West Point can make it to Jackson?
Without question they can. They can run teams to death with the A-Train and Roger Thomas but they've got to protect the ball better. The games they've lost, they've turned the ball over way too many times. Their secondary is still a weak point but they can win games in the trenches with Ladarius Gallion. They'll have to get past Oxford this week though to prove they are legitimate and can make it to Jackson.
