What's the latest thing that made you smile?
An elderly man with gray hair was hobbling around on the street. He looked like a gust of wind could knock him over judging by how unstable he seemed on his own two legs. But yet, despite his difficulty he was holding the hand of a woman of around the same age, guiding her along the sidewalk. She looked about as fragile as he did. Suddenly, the man looked like he was about to tumble to the sidewalk, and I almost ran to them to help. But just before I reacted he strained his neck over and planted a kiss on the old woman's cheeks. It was right then that I realized that the two loved each other just as they needed each other; and as they hobbled along hand in hand, I smiled.
Why?
That's what I ask myself every time I pick up my violin.
